The Day before the preliminary hearing...

 "Okay guys...let's look at our case....There are four charactors here, one is unfortunately dead, which is why we are here....Russell Swearington, the victim...Not a very nice person...a womanizer...We have five witnesses, five women he led on and had sex with and used....Five women who thought he was the one...We have Larry Rodgers, his business partner...he stole his wife from him, the wife he loves beyond all possible reasoning...His everything...Motive number one.." said Yvette.,

"He has a solid alibi..He was with us most of the day and then he was at the gym playing raquetball with the Deputy of Operations of the Philadelphia Police Department...You can't have a better alibi than that..we have 11 witnesses, plus the deputy himself." said Jade , who thoroughly investigated everybody...

 We were all drinking coffee and sitting around a big conference table...

"Then we have our client...Polly Swearington, estranged wife, going through a divorce, no pre nup, best motive ever...She's being thrown over for another woman...She was at his house at 3:30- 4:00 pm, The two made love...She is told that he is not only divorcing her, but that he doesn't plan to marry anybody at all..."said Ms. Yvette..

 "Jade and I found the UBER driver, he remembers bringing her there at 3:30 pm." I said..

 "And we found the other UBER Driver , who picked her up...at a little past six.. So we have her phone...There is definitely a phone call from Russell at around 2:15 to her...The call is all of five minutes..She calls an UBER, which picks her up and drops her off at Russell's house...They do the Hibbity Bibbity, they argue afterwords and she makes another call to UBER, which picks her up at 6:00 or a little after...We know he was still alive then....The UBER Driver we found says that Russell came to the door with her when she left at a little after six." said Bee Bee.

"Okay...she left at 6:05 pm...The Uber driver took her to her girlfriends's house...

 We have the word of both Alfreda Johnson

And Assistant District Attorney, Rockland Cambridge  that they saw her and talked to her and that she went into her apartment about 7:00 am.. That's the last that she was seen that night...Russell Swearington was murdered in between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm, which brings us to our fourth and final player, Robin Toliver." said Ms. Yvette.

 "Robin Tolliver is his Administrative Assistant...More like a Personal Assistant...She started working for him shortly after he married Mrs. Rodgers or the former Mrs. Rodgers... She accompanied him, Not his wife on Business trips to Atlanta, D.C., New Orleans and on pleasure trips called business trips to Punta Canta, Cancun, Honolulu, Hawaii." said Sofia..

 "They were business trips alright...He was giving her the business.." said Bee Bee..

 "Like you were giving me last night and early this morning.." I whispered in her ear...

She smiled, rubbing my hands softly and said..

"Mine was better business baby!" she whispered in my ear...

''This Robin Tolliver is listed as a hostile witness for both the defense and the prosecution..She has no alibi for her time during that hour...but we have a neighbor who says he saw a woman come there around 6:30....another neighbor who claims they heard an argument, yelling and screaming and then something that sounds like a firecracker or  a loud pop, then a splash, then nothing...That was around 6:55 pm...Then nothing...Nobody on the block recalls seeing anybody leaving and however she got there, it wasn't by UBER.." said Kahlil..

"She has a car....She must have parked it somewhere....Keith and I saw her rumaging around in his house when we went looking for her..We followed her to her home from there...She lied about being in the house.."said Jade.

 "My guess is she went back in that house to retrieve anything that she left in there and to wipe down any prints she may have left..." I said.

"I hope Lieutenant Tragg took my advice and went back over that site." said Yvette..

 Bee Bee, Sofia, Me ,Kahlil and Ms. Jade all gave Ms. Yvette the serious side eye..

"Okay, Okay...He probably didn't...That would be too much like the right thing to do..  Alright our defense is that our client wasn't there...and to make Ms. Tolliver prove she wasn't there either, which I don't think she can do...I think she killed him...I think she was hoping for marriage or at least to be his one and only and he told her that he wasn't planning on being monogamous with her either...I think she was furious...and she shot him!  I know we can't prove that....so let's just key on proving that our client couldn't have been there... Let's talk about the type of juror we want.."said Yvette.

 They stood in the laundromat......

 Larry just stared at Polly..

 "Larry , you scare me the way you stare at me...  Thank you for helping me do my laundry and fold my pieces..." she said..

 He helped her fold bras

 and put them in the basket..

 She smiled..

as she loaded everything up..

 "We are finished !  Did I say thank you?" she said.

They were in the back...Most of the people were on the other side..Two or three people walked over to the soap dispenser..Tossed in a few quarters, got a small box of soap and then left..

Her trial began tomorrow..Her trial for First Degree Murder.

He stared at her like a hungry wolf as she took her clothes out of the bag and began putting them away and then put her bags up..She was very fastidious and organized...

She noticed how he was staring at her and also the bulge in his trousers...She giggled...She liked that she still turned him on so much!

"Sound like he gone be her next husband!."said the woman...

Their lights blinked on and off and they smiled..

Larry and Polly both came so hard, they thought they were dying...

Out of breath they kissed a little longer..

Polly collapsed in between Larry's legs...He ran his hand through her hair...He fell asleep and so did she .

It was well after midnight...They had been at it all afternoon...

 Enjoying Banana Splits with Jazzy and Dabnis.

 "You Guys ready for trial tomorrow?" asked Jazzy..

 ''As ready as we can be...This case isn't giving us much.."said Bee Bee.

 ''We have two people with great motives and two people who don't have iron clad alibi's..One of them being our client." I said.

 "Well take all emphasis off your client and double down hard on the other person who doesn't have an alibi." said Dabnis..

 "That's our game plan..."said Sofia..

'"A little luck and the right jury and we pull this off."said Kahlil..

"You got the right cop on the case...If Lt. Tragg is the investigator, you know he's goofed up the evidence, he's done a half assed job...It's a cinch you guys will win.." said Dabnis..

We all busted out laughing..

Jades's phone rang ...

"Hello"said Jade, who was preparing to go to bed..

"Ms. Jade, this is the UBer Dispatcher...I found the driver who picked up the second woman that night...at 7;59...He was off a few days...He remembers her vididly...You might want to talk to him..
He's down here at the dispatch station.." said the Manager..

 "Okay, let me put my clothes on...I'll be there shortly.." she said..

She got dressed...She walked across the street to our apartments...None of us were in... She sent us a text..

 We were all still at Food Market eating our Banana splits with Jazzy and Dabnis..

 I checked my phone.

 "I got a text from Jade... She got a lead on the cabbie, the second cabbie that picked up the second woman that night.." I said..

 "So there was a second woman...We know that for a fact...I thought the cabbie just got the times wrong." said Bee Bee..

 "No...Now we know that somebody else was there in that 30 minute time period...The real killer." said Sofia.

 "This is the break we were waiting for."said a jubilant Kahlil.

 ''She's going by herself ,this time of night?" asked Jazzy..

"I've seen Jade in action...She can handle herself.." laughed Dabnis

Center City, Midnight...

Jade was headed towards the UBER  dispatch...

 A woman wearing a hat to cover her face walked quietly down the street...

 She peered into several UBER's until she saw the driver who looked familliar...He was drinking coffee..

 She pulled out her .22 caliber and fired two shots into his head, killing him...

she then walked quietly away...

"He got hit by two slugs...22 caliber...one to the chest and one to the head...death was instantaneous doc." said one of the Crime Scene Investigators as they and Forensic specialists observed the dead cabbie.

Dr. Hazel Baylor was glad that someone other than Lt. Tragg was investigating this murder..

Our Investigator, Jade just looked on...

"His testimony would have helped our case.. He had just called me, just told me to come down here and he's dead before I get here...I don't understand it."said Jade..

"Let me look at your phone.." said Lt. Danny Ho.

He looked at it..

"It's been cloned...The right person could easily do it...You called Keith the other day to tell him you were going to check out the crime scene and then pay a certain someone a visit...When you got there , She was rumaging through the house and left....You got a call tonight telling you that the UBER driver remembered picking up another women during that time span and he's dead...Co-incidence??
Get another phone immediately and throw this one away." said Lt. Danny Ho.

 "I'm slipping." said Jade , sadly...

 "You're not slipping.." said Lt. Danny Ho...

He pulled Jade to him and kissed her passionately...

Ms. Yvette and Gary pulled up in his car just then...

 "I got here as soon as I got your text.....Oh My God, what happened here.?  Was this the other cabbie?" asked Yvette..

"I'm afraid it was...Somebody got to him before I could.." said Jade..

 "Somebody was either shadowing your movements or your phone was compromised."said Gary...

 "Wowwwwwwwwwwwww...Nobody saw anything huh?" I said.

 "Well, our case just got harder to defend.." said Bee Bee..

 "I know.." said Sofia..

"Nuts." said Kahlil.

We watched, along with the crowd as the body of the cabbie was put in a body bag and put on a gurney and put in the M.E.'s wagon..
