Lloyd Jenson was angry that these 9 attorneys from Philly had gotten Wade McCallister's conviction tossed out,,,A Conviction he had secured in 2016....his 100th victory. He didn't like that a new trial was ordered...

He needed to slow these attorneys down and make this trial as difficult for them as possible. Except for Matthew Akes...all of them had been born in Philadelphia...All were American Citizens...Matthew Akes had been born in Lagos and had just gotten his citizenship last year...

His "Anonymous" call to ICE had gotten Matthew Akes arrested....He knew that they could get him released....but he hoped that getting his freedom would keep these lawyers busy and keep them from working on the trial..

He was wrong...

For At this very moment in our conference room- finishing up our research on the Owen McCallister case.  We were going to give him a real defense...unlike what he had at the last trial.

"This was Lowell Jensen...His move was to have us working on Matthew's freedom...Working so hard that this case be postponed."I said.

"He doesn't realize there are 9 attorneys working on the case?"said Natalie.

"Yeah and we are the main ones.." said Brooke.

" And we aren't going to postpone anything."said Sean defiantly.....

"This guy just filed a motion trying to get our new DNA evidence tossed out , saying it is not pertinent to the case and is why it wasn't used in court the first time."said Jessica incredulously.

"You guys keep working...We have an emergency hearing today to argue that this motion is baseless...Karen, Jessica and I are going." said Chip...

"He's running scared...He knows we got the goods...It's game on."said Natalie.

And at Immigration Court..Matthew's original attorneys, Yvette Jones- Lockwood, Keith Jones, Beatrice Evans-Jones, Sofia Garcia- Ahmed, Kahlil Ahmed , Jade Lee Ho and Lee Phillips-Akes were arguing for his freedom from a not too sympathetic judge, Michael Wilder.

 

 

Yvette and her team represented him...They had receipts....Transcripts from his hearing of a year ago and his official citizenship papers...

"He's got to let you go Matthew.." said a crying Lee..

"Don't cry baby...Don't cry...I'm sure they got me.." said Matthew...

"Everything is in order....This was a mistake by our government agents...I am sorry... He is free to go..."said Judge Wilder..

"I told you I'd be released baby." said Matthew.

"I'm so happy..."said a relieved Lee.

They began kissing passionately....

"I'm going to love you sooo good tonight." whispered Lee to Matthew as they kissed.

"I should get arrested more often."joked Matthew.

First District Appellate Court.... HOURS LATER!

The Federal Judge they got was the same one who had released Matthew Akes a year ago...Also, she was not a big fan of Lowell Jenson and he knew it!

He made his ridiculous argument before her...

"Mr. Jenson...I can't believe you passed the bar." said the Judge.

Lowell Jenson was shocked.. He expected the 9 attorneys involved in his case..or at least half of them... Instead, there was only three of them and they were with Olivia Bennett, Alexander, her niece, Beverly West and that team of Attorneys... He did not wish to spar with them..

Innocence Project Attorneys , Jessica Sanchez-Burrows, her husband, Charles "Chip" Burrows and Karen Page, leader of the Wrongful Conviction-Conviction Integrity Unit. 

 

Olivia, Beverly, Nelson, Josie, Bresha and Donnie Ray came not just to offer moral support, but actually to argue along with Jessica, Chip and Karen Page.

B.L. was there with a camera crew to film this.. They had moved fast...

The Judge had heard enough-

"This motion is frivolous , I am throwing it out...Of course you can use this new information in your retrial...It's pertinent Evidence...Mr. Jenson you know that....Why are you wasting the courts time and my time with this frivolous motion?" she said.

Lloyd Jenson was totally frustrated.

Another victory and all in one day...

Later that night

"Wow ! What a day...Matthew released right away and that phony motion tossed out." I said.

" Yes, this was a day, quite a day....I'm tired...but I'm guessing you're horny, right?" asked Natalie with a smile.  "Boss Lady and Yvette said we all could come in late tomorrow...I think Jazzy and Dabnis told their crews the same thing.  guessing you're horny, right?"" said Natalie.

for him.

He wolfed down a bottle of Tequila.....and stumbled out of the bar..... It was 2:10 AM.....

That Night, he was in a car accident in which he was killed instantly.....

In death, he had succeeded in doing what he had failed to do in life... He had now held up the trial that would have started next week.
