''So Sofia, how was the wedding..?" asked Bee Bee..
"Yeah, we missed you around here." I said
She had gone to a destination wedding in San Juan, Puerto Rico for her cousin, a big time Investment banker from here in Philadelphia.She had been gone a week..
"It was beautiful...No one missed you guys more than I missed you...Especially you Papi." she said to kahlil..
''Goddd, I missed you.." said Kahlil..
Who kissed her as if he could care less about breakfast...He wanted to take her back to his room now!
"It's been slow around the office...No new cases."said Bee Bee..
"Oh, well I hope that changes...I'm eager to get involved in something......The wedding was beautifull I took a lot of pictures , I'm gonna load em on my Instagram page...My cousin Mercedes was soo happy, I've never seen her so happy...and Ramos is just overboard....They are looking to buy a house in Queen Village...For now ,they are staying with my aunt...The one who was so loud in court.."laughed Sofia..
" I was thinking maybe we'd go on a short vacation, the four of us..or pray Olivia and Beverly need us in Hawaii or California or maybe Miami on some case." joked Kahlil..
"They've been busy right here in Philly, just like us." I said.
We laughed and continued to chow down...

And at Ms. Yvette's house...On the rare Saturday Morning, that she was at home..
"Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu say my name, I like the way you say my name.." whispered Yvette
"YVETTE DENISE JONES....UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM..." he moaned.. "OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she cooed...
They had been making love in her living room all morning...

They were driving each other to the point of delirium this morning..

"Damn.....you are the nations best kept secret.." Gary said, trying to catch his breath..
"Oh Hush up...You always come up with something nutty to say."laughed Ms. Yvette..
"You got to shower and get dressed and go home honey...I'm supposed to go get my hair done with Olivia, Beverly and Josie....They'll be here in about an hour.." said Yvette..
"I can't stay for breakfast?" asked Gary..
"You've had your breakfast...Don't you think?" laughed Yvette with a seductive grin..
.She kissed him passionately, one last time....
A beautiful morning...The calm before the storm that was to come...

MONDAY MORNING-
We were all in the office , preparing for a regular work week...Right now there was nothing on our dockets...
Kahlil and I were sitting in our office discussing sports..
Bee Bee and Sofia were in their office ,looking at new dresses on a website on one of their computers..
Ms. Yvette was in her office going through her mail...
Ms. Jade came in with Bagels, Cream Cheese and Jelly and spread it on the table..
"Take five " she said...
''Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, just what the doctor ordered." I said as I came out of the office.,
"Nice." said Kahlil.
'What a pleasent surprise." said Ms. Yvette..
"Nicee....Something to break up the monotony...
"Ouuuuuuuu" said Sofia... Suddenly her phone started ringing..
''Who is calling me now?" she asked..
''Ohhh..It's My cousin Mercedes!!" she said excitedly..
'They're back from their honeymoon so soon?" she pondered before asking..
"Hola!" she said...
''What? Aye Mio dios...did you two have an argument or something? What? I don't understnd.. He just left in the middle of the night? Well who called him? Who got him so upset..?? Don't cry mami..
Don't cry? I'll be over after work...I'm sure he'll be back by then." said Sofia.
''Something Wrong?" asked Bee Bee.
"My cousin Mercedes, the one who just got married? She said that Ramos got a a call in the middle of the night..He was very upset...but wouldn't tell her why...He got dressed and left and hasn't been seen or heard from since..She's called his phone several times and it's just gone to voicemail..She said that's not him at all.."said Sofia..
"Oh Noooo.." said Yvette...
''Post wedding Jitters?" asked Kahlil..
''I doubt that...Nobody wanted to marry my cousin more than Ramos...He couldn't wait..He was overjoyed.....She said they were lying in bed...They had just finished having sex...They were cuddled up when he got a phone call...He seemed very upset..He took the phone and went in the bathroom so she couldn't hear what the conversation entailed..Then he got dressed and kissed her and he told her that he loved her and he left..That was at 3:00 am this morning...She hasn't seen him or heard from him since and his job said he didn't come to work this morning."said Sofia.
"I know Ramos...He wasn't the scary type....If something spooked him that bad, it had to be big.."said Bee Bee..
"He'll probably show up....but I will go down to his job and look into it , just to make sure."said Jade.
''Would you? Oh thank you Jade." said Sofia.
''Don't hang around here...You're not doing anything major...Go see about your cousin." said Ms. Yvette.
"Thank you Ms. Yvette." said Sofia.

SIX DAYS LATER-
We were all standing on the very top of the Ben Franklin Hotel.. and looking down at a big hole in a lower roof of an adjoining building..\
The hole was huge...
"I know this hole is huge...but I brought you guys up here because we found your cousin's husband, Ramos Natividad...He's in that shed down there...We think he fell off this roof."said Deputy Coroner and Forensic Investigator, Dr. Hazel Baylor..
''What would he be doing way up here? Why was he even here?" asked Sofia.
Bee Bee was hugging her life long friend..
"It's alright mamasita, we are going to get to the bottom of this.
."Neither of us had any ties to this building." said Sofia's cousin and Ramos's wife...Mercedes.
''There has to be some reason why he came up here." said Kahlil..
I was at a loss for words...
Jade noticed a cell phone and a pair of sunglasses lying on the roof..
"That's his phone and those are his sunglasses " said his wife, Mercedes Garcia-Ramos...
"Why are they just laying there like that?....It looks kind of staged.."said Ms. Yvette..
"I'll say." said Gary..
"I visited his place of work last week...Twice...Nobody would talk to me...When I went back the second time,I was told that they had all signed Non -Disclosure agreements and couldn't talk to me.
I was told in no uncertain terms that if I came back...I would have to talk to their attorney."said Jade.
"That's Crazy, Mark and Ramos started that company together...I can't believe he wouldn't talk to you.." said Mercedes..
''We are attorneys...Maybe you should go with us to talk to him and his attorney Mercedes."said Sofia.
"That sounds like a good idea."said Yvette.
''Everybody dummied up this fast...That definitely smells to high hell." I said.
"I'll say." said Bee Bee.
''We need subpeona power to talk to them."said Kahlil.
''Hazel is calling us.."said Jade.
"We've found a body.. Uh let's get on the elevator and go down....I'll need you to identify the body.."said Hazel to Mercedes..
"OH MY GODDDD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NOT RAMOS!...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" cried Mercedes...
"Come on mami...Come on.." said Sofia, hugging her cousin..
It was a long drop...We took the elevator down, 32 floors down to the ledge , where a big hole was...
It was a shed...
The smell was incredibly strong..
"Doc, he apparently fell from that roof to this floor...crashing through the ceiling and landing in here..Judging by the level of decomp...I'd say he's been dead for about six days to a week..I'm surprised nobody came up here..Nobody heard the crash.."said a Forensics Specialist...
Already Crime Scene Investigators were observing the body and analyzing the scene..
"Both of his legs were broken, several broken ribs, a skull fracture and a broken arm...geez, that was quite a drop..."said another man...
"These abrasions on his neck....Hmm they shouldn't be there.."said Hazel..
"OH MY GOD....THAT'S HIM, THAT'S RAMOS....HE HAD EVERYTHING TO LIVE FOR...HE WOULDN'T HAVE JUMPED...HE WOULDN'T HAVE!" cried Mercedes..who positively identified her husband by the clothing he had on..
Gary hugged her, he held her in his arms as she cried..
"My god....What happened here? Did he fall? , Was he psuhed?? OH MY GOD!" said Ms. Yvette, who was holding
a weeping Sofia..
'We are going back to that job and somebody is going to talk to us damn it." said a furious Kahlil..
"Yeah, I'm ready right now!" I said.
"It's Saturday, just calm down.."said Bee Bee.
"Jade it is weird that they all lawyered up.." said Yvette.
"I know....I felt a funny vibe the minute I walked in there.." said Jade..
"What is the verdict Doc? Could this be a suicide?" asked Gary..
"It could be, if it weren't for the abrasions on his neck....but I'm calling this...MURDER!" said Hazel.
