When The Other Shoe Drops

"A Little before 4:00 AM this morning, Lt. Arthur Tragg of Homicide arrested a suspect in the murder of Photographer, Lenny Fischer... The suspect has been identified as the estranged lover of Mr. Fischer, Attorney and LGBTQ Activist, Effrom Burke.. If you recall the body of Mr. Fischer, who had been missing for three weeks   was fished out of the river after being discovered by members of the Police Marine Squad...He had been shot once in the head, his body wrapped in tarp and weighted down with a cement block." said the reporter..

"Mr. Burke was a person of interest ever since we were informed that he was missing...I finally caught up with him early this morning in the EAST COAST CLUB in downtown Philadelphia...a gay friendly after hours joint..."said Lt. Tragg...

Effrom wouldn't give a comment and appeared to wince as flashbulbs popped in his face and reporters pillored him with questions...

''Did you kill him Mr. Burke?"

"Why did you kill your lover Mr. Burke?"

Effrom didn't say a word...He simply allowed himself to be placed in the police car..

As the police drove off with him.

The Press was there in full...

A world away in our building...We were all eating breakfast again....

Our cafeteria had several monitors which showed the local news...We all saw Lt. Tragg's press conference while we ate..

"Look at that huh?  He's at it again." said Tony watching the news report...

''Well Vettie, the other shoe has dropped huh ?" said Dabnis.

"Yeah ,I got a call this morning...I wanted us to have some breakfast before we got to Central Booking and court."said  Ms. Yvette.

"Like I said yesterday ,Better to see him on Television while we eat than for him to actually be in our presence."I said..

"You're not lying about that. Sofia and I are going to try and scare a judge up."said Bee Bee.

"I like the way you guys work, like a well oiled machine.. You guys seem to mirror how Olivia and Beverly work...

Olivia , Beverly and their guys work the same way...You guys mirror each other." said Jazzy.

''So many people have told us that. I guess that comes from working so close to them over the years." said Sofia.

"When we finish, we can rocket right down there and talk to him and get him arraigned  before noon if we are lucky."said Kahlil.

''That depends on how well the trains are running." said Kayla.

"They are good...It's still early yet. "said Ray.,

"Yeah, we are more prepared today than we usually are, which is why we have time to eat,."said Ms. Jade.

"Always good to start the day with a good breakfast.."said Jessica

"A Luxury most of us in here take for granted."said Chip.

"He did just like I said he would., He rushed to judgement, jumped to conclusions and probably arrested the wrong suspect."said Virginia.

''I drove in today Vettie..That's why we weren't on the train with you this morning..I can drop you all off at Central Booking if you like. I'm going that way.I've got a court appointment." said  Jetty.

'' Ohhh thank you Jetty"said Yvette.. "Come on guys, let's head out."said Ms. Yvette.

Karen Page, Natalie, David, Brooke and Sean all walked in just as we were leaving..

"Hi Vettie, Keith, Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil, Jade... We saw the news...Good luck at arraignment. and with Lieutenant Tragg." said  Karen..

''I do not miss dealing with that Corny Keystone Copper at all."laughed Natalie to David..

"Yeah ,me neither.."admitted David..

"I haven't seen him since that night in Curley's when that girl's fiance wiped the floor up with him.." said Natalie, softly rubbing his hands..

"Me neither.I love it down here...with you guys and away from Center City."laughed her best friend, Brooke.

''And I love having you down here" laughed Sean, 

It was an overcast day....and as soon as we got in Jetty's car , it began to rain...An Omen maybe..

II-

The "Fishbowl" ,the nickname the detectives had for the inttorgation room..

Effrom had dozed off...He hadn't said anything since arriving..

Lt. Tragg walked in with a load of folders...There was nothing of sustance in them, but they gave a dramatic and psychological flair to the proceedings. He slammed them down on the table.

"Wake Up...You don't have time to sleep , you have to determine how you're going to save your life or spend the rest of it...Do you want a needle????, which the cruelty of this crime might call for or do you want to help yourself out and maybe get life.....Either way you look at it, your law career is over....I see disbarment in your immediate future and a conviction...Now...maybe, maybe if you confess, save the state the cost of a trial...The Judge might go easy on you.."said Lt. Tragg..

Effrom laughed and reared back...

"You do know I am an attorney....I'm not some  mope you carted in here off the street that doesn't know any better and might crack open and confess whether he or she was guilty or not...You insult me by coming at me like that....I AM NOT CONFESSING TO A DAMN THING, BECAUSE I DID NOT KILL LENNY....I AM INNOCENT...AND THAT IS ALL I PLAN TO SAY UNTIL MY LAWYER GETS HERE!" said Effrom..

"You have not made your call yet and if you want to be allowed to make that call you had better lose that attitude sonny and begin to co-operate..." said Lt. Tragg.

"You can't deny me due process...I have a right to my one phone call, but I don't need it...My Attorneys have been made aware of what you did and they'll be here shortly...

"I'm here now." said Yvette...

 as she and Jade walked in.

"Unbelievable....I don't believe it...Any case...Any case with the least bit of controversy...Either you and your snot nosed youngins...or Olivia, Beverly and that bunch connect themselves to it"..said Lt. Tragg.

"There is no need for personal attacks on me or my dear colleagues...."said Yvette quietly...

''Speaking of which where are the kids?" asked Lt. Tragg.

" They're around...You'll see them at his arraignment , Now, can I have the room?" asked Yvette softly.

Lt. Tragg stared balefully at Effrom, then he quietly left and closed the door..

"Effrom you look like you haven't slept....We are going to get you out of here, get you arraigned and get you fed....so you can go home and get some sleep....Okay?" said Yvette.

"Okay....God Bless you Yvette....Can I call you Vettie?" he asked..

"Of course." said Yvette.

Jade had vetted him thoroughly...Everything he told us had checked out... They both left and headed to court..

At the courtroom we waited for Ms. Yvette and Jade to return...

"Hey Ms. Yvette...You'll be pleased with the judge we got." said Bee Bee.

''We aren't going to tell you, we want you to be surprised." said Sofia.

Ms. Yvette loved their youthful enthusiasm... She smiled.   "I trust you...Judging by how happy you are..I know it's not someone who will make me cringe."said Ms. Yvette...

"She was the foxiest judge I'd ever seen next to Julie Wong, I thought.

''Here she comes.."said Kahlil.

Judge Elise Clemmons walked past us...she waved...

''Hi guys...I'll see you in court..." she said.

She was Lt. Tragg's worst nightmare.. He had arrested her once...She had endured a trial and had been acquitted...She despised him....the feeling was mutual..

Effrom looked tired, but ready for this to all get started...

The ADA was a new face...Jillian Baranski, the sister of Diane "Hot Panties" Baranksi..

Also an ADA...

COURTROOM A- 10:00 AM 

"ALL RISE FOR THE HONORABLE JUDGE ELISE CLEMMONS" said the Bailiff..

We all rose to our feet, Ms. Yvette, myself, Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil, Effrom and Jade.

"Let's see, what's on my docket....Oh Case 177, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vs. Effrom Burke, the charge is First Degree Murder."

"Your Honor.. On and About said date...Mr. Burke is charged with shooting and killing one Lenny Fischer and weighing his body down with a cement cinder block and dropping him into the ocean, never to be seen again...Due to the extremely cruel nature of this crime, we ask that Mr. Burke be held without bail as he represents a clear and present danger to our city." said  Jill Baranski.

"VA VA VA VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!" thought Lt. Tragg ,checking out her curves and rubbing her legs... "Ummmmmmmmmmmph!" he groaned..

She smiled and removed his hands... "What are you doing? What are you doing?   Keep your hands to yourself." she said firmly....

"My client is not a danger to the community...He is an officer of the court...A fellow Attorney and a champion of LGBTQ rights, an Activist...He is innocent of these charges and can't wait to have his day in court to address these outrageous and egregious charges...We are supposed to be acting on the presumption of innocence until proven guilty here." argued Yvette.

Bee Bee, Sofia, Me and Kahlil presented 5 charactor witnesses a piece who got on the stand and recounted their long association with Effrom and his sterling charactor. Most of these people were fellow attorneys, Judges , a few politicians..They made convincing witnesses.

"I'm setting his bail at $3000.00 dollars. " said Judge Clemmons.

Sofia paid the bailiff $300.00 dollars...

''Follow us Effrom We are going to take you somewhere where you can get some food.. Then you're going to go home..."said Yvette..

"Yeah I need some sleep, I need some food and a hot shower.."said Effrom..

"All in good time fella..We are gonna go with you...You're going to pack a bag and find a hotel.." I said.

"You'll register, using your real name.."said Bee Bee. "Find a hotel with an indoor parking lot." she added.

"Remember to use the Portal we gave you and only call us on that Burner phone."said Sofia.

"Get plenty of rest. We won't be calling you tomorrow."said Kahlil.

"Come on, let's slip out before Lt. Tragg sees us leaving."said Jade.

We were out of the courthouse and on the train to our building..

''So you're uh Diane's sister huh? I know Diane..."said Lt. Tragg..

"Did you sleep with her? I'm not her....So if that's what you're thinking...Think again...I'm no cheap thrill." said Jill Baranski,

She walked away...Leaving him standing there.

Staring balefully.

Back at our building... It was business as usual..

Our young neighbors and friends, Fellow Attorneys were eating lunch and talking ......

''Sooooooo this weekend, Beverly, Josie, myself and Jazmatazz will be getting Natalie ready for her wedding..We've got to take her to her hair appointment and we'll probably go to the mall, do some shopping.What are you going to do to amuse yourself?" asked Kayla.

"We will all be at Chip's house....The games will be on... There will be food and beverages...All the boys will be there, Keith, Kahlil, Nelson, Donnie Ray, Rockland, Gary, Paris, even some of the girls, Bee Bee, Sofia, Jade, Olivia, Alfreda, Ms. Yvette, Ms. Virginia, Judge Dukes...It'll be a good time."said her husband, Ray..

"Me and Bree will be there... I'll be late... I got a barbershop apointment...Gotta keep it fresh you know."joked Tony Billips.

"But of course...and you always do keep it fresh." joked Jazzy...

Dabnis softly palmed her behind and squeezed it...

"Ummmmmmmmmm, I know where I'll be tonight...ummmmmmmmmmm/" he moaned.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!! Ummmmmmmmmmm! speaking of being fresh!" Jazzy cooed, aroused by her husband's soft whispers in her ears...

"You've got to stop that in here, at work baby." she cooed and giggled.

"We've got to go grocery shopping tonight, if we expect to be ready for the weekend Papi."said Jessica.

"I already made a list...We can go right after we get home...We'll take your car.... Sean that invitation is open to you too... David will be there.. He'll be staying wih Olivia and Beverly..." said Chip.

"I think I will drop down, thanks for the invite.."said Sean.

"Good, you'll have something to do.. I'll be with Natalie, Beverly, Josie, Jazzy and Kayla Saturday, getting my girl ready for her wedding..."said Brooke.

"See babes , you are not just getting a wife, you're getting all of these sisters and brothers as well."said Natalie , smiling at David.

David felt a sense of warmth he had never felt before...He had the girl of his dreams and by default, all of these wonderful friends.....He had been a loner most of his life...The unpopular nerd in high school, The lonely lawyer that nobody associated with at the Public Defenders Office... Then he remade himself, bought a new wardrobe, a cooler car...and found his courage...the same courage he had in the courtroom and it paid off in divedends...He had Natalie..a girl ,he could only dream about before.

Across from them, ADA Karen Page sat with our office manager, Virginia and her husband, Judge Dukes..

"So you guys doing anything big this weekend? Look at us...It's Wednesday and we are already planning for the weekend..."laughed Karen..

"Nahhhhh, Saturday, Most of us will be over Jessica and Chip's house watching the game and hanging out...I think uh some of the young ladies will be with Natalie, getting her hair and other things together for her wedding...but mostly, we'll all be staying in this weekend..."said Virginia..

"Oh look, here comes Vettie and the gang, They apparently were successful at the arraignment...I'm sure Dudley Do Right is somewhere fuming..."laughed Jetty...

"And equally angry because he can't find any of us."said Virginia as we all came in...

"This building, this cafeteria is awesome...."said Effrom Burke...

''We love it...come on, let's get in line and get you a meal." said Bee Bee.

"We aren't going to discuss case related matters today...you've given us a big headstart...More than we usually have...You're going to eat and then Kahlil and Keith are going to take you home, you're going to pack and they 're going to follow you to a hotel, with an indoor parking lot where you are to stay."said Ms. Yvette.

"Keep a serious low profile man...Lt. Tragg likes to harrass people...Whether they are out on bail...So with you in that hotel...He can't find you or bother you."said Kahlil.

"You've got that Portal and that Burner phone we gave you if you need us." I said.

"Come on....Let's get some good hot food into you, it'll set you straight papi."said Sofia.

''Well escorted by two lovely ladies like you and Beatrice, how can I refuse?" said Effrom with a smile.

Jade got up....

"Make that Three lovely ladies." laughed Effrom.

CURLEY'S BAR...THAT NIGHT!

The steaks were thick and juicy....

The butter just melting off of the Baked Potato....

"Lt. Tragg I must say you are very persuasive...Lucky for you, I was very hungry...You weren't lying about how thick and juicy these steaks are , ummmmmmmmmmmmm this is soooo good and this baked potato and the butter....OH my godddd!" said Assistant District Attorney Jillian Baranski.

"I told you....Didn't I tell you?" said Lt. Tragg.

He poured her another glass of wine...

"Ummm and you know your wines...This wine is superb..." she said.

He leaned over and kissed her softly on her lips...She did not resist him...

"You're fresh Lieutenant.." she said, continuing to kiss him.. "OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she cooed.

''I never knew Diane had a sister." he said softly.."I take it you're down here from Boston huh?" he said.

"Nooooooo New York....She went to Harvard...I went to Columbia." said Jillian

"OHHHHHH I SEEE!" he said. His hands were way up her skirt at this point, rubbing her behind softly..She wasn't that drunk...She removed his hands and pulled her skirt down...

"Lieutenant, be nice.." she said giggling..

"I am being nice." he laughed raffishly.

Curley looked on...

"I'm so glad none of those lawyers that Artie feuds with are here tonight...It's a nice peaceful night..and it looks like Artie might get laid..." he said.

Lt. Tragg and ADA Jillian Baranski were kissing passionately.....

"Ummmmmmmmmmm you are fresh.. This is two times tonight you've kissed me... No kiss goodnight for you at my front door." she laughed.

"I was hoping you'd invite me in for some coffee." he said,laughing himself.

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmm coffee." she laughed slyly.

"You're not driving tonight... I'll take you home and bring you back tomorrow to pick up your car."whispered Lt. Tragg softly...

"Ouuuuuuu you nasty boy...you're not slick...in order for you to do that.....youuuuuuuu'd have to spend the night with meeeeeeee.....tee hee...I called an UBer." she giggled , now drunk..

"I'll take you home baby..My car is outside.."laughed Lt. Tragg snidely...

Lt. Tragg drove her to her apartment ...

Once inside, the hot and heavy kissing began...

"Ouuuuuuuuuu Mister handsy....You had your hands up my skirt all day long...In court ,in that restaurant....I knowwwwwwwwwwww what you wantttttt...ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu..and it's not coffee."she said.

"Yes indeed, ever since I first laid eyes on you..." he said.

"I am flattered..OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"she cooed.

Soon he was unbuckling her bra..

and sliding her panties down...

Within minutes, they were in bed.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHH LIEUTENANT!   OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU LIEUTENANT!!

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" she moaned..as her bed rocked and squeaked louder than it had since she'd moved in... The headboard creaked and sounded like it might split in half...

"VA VA VA VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM!" he moaned...

The bed squeaked even louder...

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she cooed.

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWW SWEEEEEET BABYYYYYY! OUUUUUUUUU!" he moaned..

They made love for the next NINE TO TEN HOURS!!

Still kissing passionately the next morning...

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM LIEUTENANT! THANK YOU FOR LAST NIGHTTTTT! " she cooed.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ANYTIME, ANYTIME !" he moaned.

Leaving with a smile on his face...

and driving away happy, singing with the radio.

THURSDAY MORNING!

The next morning , in our conference room..

"Soooooyou guys get Effrom situated?" asked Yvette.

''Yupper. Got him to his hotel room, got him checked in and everything.." I said,. 

"He said he was going to shower and get some sleep...He needed it..He was beat." said Kahlil.

"Yeah, I could see that...Lt. Tragg had him up half the night...He was at his breaking point." said Bee Bee.

"I wonder how many people have broken under the same circumstances and confessed to a crime they didn't committ, just so they could get some sleep, maybe some food? That practice is barbaric."said Sofia.

"It is...and it was worse in Taiwan and Japan, places I have been." said Jade.

"Okay, this go around, I'm going to switch assignments....Keith, Kahlil...I want you guys to do the research, look up laws pertaining to this type of case, predicates and like cases , the same things the girls do..If you need any help, We are all in the media room."said Ms. Yvette.

"Oh we did enough of this in law school...I think we'll be good!" I said.. I did it in my undergrad pre-law courses at Howard and at PENN LAW...

"Yeah, we are cool with this."said a confident Kahlil..

"Ladies, Jade has done breakdowns on all of the possible jurors, we are going to look at the jurors profiles and decide what type of juror we want...This is new to you, So I will be here to guide you...

I also want you to look thoroughly at the Autopsy Reports and the Crime scene reports and photos."said Ms. Yvette.

"Ouuuuu I like switching roles for a change....Not that I mind doing research...but this is fun too!"said Bee Bee.

"This way, we each can learn something about each other's jobs."said Sofia..

"They are soooo cute....I'm learning something about this trial science thing too...It wasn't a thing before I went away...apparently ,according to what I've been reading....a number of attorneys are using it now."said Ms. Virginia, who was allowed to sit in on this.

"I'll see you all in a little while...I'm going out and do a little more digging as far as this case is concerned." said Jade.

"Okay Jade...I will see you this afternoon." said Yvette.

IV-

SATURDAY- 11:45 AM

"Thank you guys for helping out."said Jessica... It was the first time she and her husband Chip had hosted an event, other than dinner for the two of them and the four of us.

Jessica and Chip hosted a Saturday afternoon get together....They had a finished basement...with a 74 inch Television screen..where a lot of the guys sat and watched the College Basketball Games....

Everyone else was upstairs helping to prepare the food.. Sofia, Kahlil, Bee Bee and I were already there, helping with the set up..Jade and Danny arrived shortly after we did..

 

"Ohhhh Jessica, Chip, this is beautiful...and believe me, you have more than enough for everybody."said Sofia.

''Awwww this is nice..first Saturday we didn't go to No I.D. Bar for Brunch...but it's cool.." said Kahlil.

"We didn't go out last night either to Josies or Aqua Bar or Stoleys...We all stayed in..."said Bee Bee.

"It was nice, just staying at home, snug and warm..."I said.

"Yeah, Danny and I stayed in too!" said Jade..

"You guys have been working hard on your upcoming case." said Danny.

There was plenty of food..

Hot Dogs and Cheese-Steak Sliders courtesy of Jakes...

and that Guava punch everybody likes...

And plenty of Beers.

The first visitors arrived.. Ms. Virginia, Jetty, Ms. Alfreda and Rockland..

"Heyyyyyyyyy guys....Ouuuuuuu everything is just beautiful." said Ms. Virginia.

"Pass me a beer.."said Jetty.

"Ohhhhhh Jessica, you have a beautiful house and this set up is sooo nice."said Alfreda.

"We should drop by more." joked Rockland.

Ms. Yvette, Gary, Dabnis, Ray, Paris, Nelson, The soon to be married David Charles, Olivia and Donnie Ray, Bresha and Tony and Zoey and Lem rounded out the group...

"Heyyyyyyyyy Jessica, Chip....Ouuuuuuu everything is just beautiful." said Ms. Yvette.

"Thank you everybody for coming out...You can all retreat to the basement...Chip and I will bring the rest of the food down." said Jessica.

''Enjoy!! The first of the games should be starting." said Chip..

"I'll help you guys take some things down." Gary...

"Nice Spread."said Dabnis..

"Yeah it is." said Ray.

"Hot Dogs and Sliders from Jakes...You can't go wrong with that.." said Paris.

"You can't go wrong with Jakes..The four of us, Me, Brookie, Nat and David drove up there one night last week..We were all hungry ,so we took our car and drove to Jakes and grabbed some dogs."said Sean.

"I can't tell you how many times  me, Bev, Josie and Paris have done the same thing.. One night..We ran into Keith , Bee Bee, Sofia and Kahlil..  They had the same idea..  said Nelson,laughing.. He turned his attention to David." Well David...In one more week...You won't be staring at us...You'll be staring at your beautiful Natalie.." said Nelson...

"Yeah....that's something to look forward to."said David.

"It's Just a week...We'll take good care of you."joked Olivia....He had just moved his things into their basement.. Both he and Natalie wouldn't be working at all next week..

"I'm going to grab a beer." said Donnie Ray.

"I grabbed two.One for me and one for you."said Bresha.

"Thanks Babe." said Tony.

"This is so nice...It couldn't have come at a better time." said Zoey.

"Mannnnn this is a nice spread." said Lem.

As we all headed to the basement...To watch the games (Guys) and to eat and dish (Gals)...

SATURDAY- 2:45 PM.

In the mall at the hairdressers-

"Okay Bernadette set it up...Our hair appointments are next Thursday...We are off from Thursday to Monday...."said Jazzy..

"You know, when we were back in 9th grade...I dreamed we'd all be doing this, planning each other's weddings..." gushed Kayla.

"You did? Cause I didn't......but I'm glad you all are here...All my girls with me on a day I never thought I'd see."said Natalie.

"I don't know why not...We all had our share of boys running after us and jealous girls who hated us."said Beverly...

"True...but I never thought of getting married...I never saw it in the cards for me.. When we saw each other again after so many years...I was so envious of all of you...Beverly, Jazzy, Kayla....all married and married to great guys...I mean I love Dabnis, Ray and Nelson as if they were my own brothers...I didn't see it for me."said Natalie.

''And just when you weren't looking, when you least expected it...It happened to you."said Josie.

When we worked at the Public Defenders Office there was about three guys practically slobbering over Natalie...and she wouldn't give them the time of day...We didn't know David liked her at the time.. He never said anything." said Brooke, laughing.

"Yeah, how about that?  But he did shoot his shot at just the right time too!   I am so excited...I can't wait..." said Natalie.

"Well that makes two of you...because he is sure excited about you.....You know you can talk to each other on the phone...You just can't see each other.. Nelson and I talked on the phone once...The week before we got married."said Beverly...

"We could, but I don't want to tempt fate.." said Natalie.

"Ohhhh don't be that way...Call him." said Brooke.

"Awwwwwwwwwwww call him, wait until around Wednesday..."said Jazzy.

"Ray called me....I wish I had talked to him."said Kayla.

"I told you to.."said Beverly.

Josie smiled...She had never had a close group of girlfriends like this before. She envied them, their lifetime of stories...She was glad to be with them now!

They next went shoe Shopping....

They next stopped  at their favorite lingerie store....Lady Chatterlies Lover, Panties and Bras for the Discriminating woman

"Nice to see you young ladies.. Congratulations on the upcoming wedding Natalie... Have I got something for you... This will blow your husbands mind..."said Bridget Jones, the Proprieter of the store..

Jazzy, Natalie, Beverly,Josie and Brooke looked at and purchased an assortment of panties, bra and sexy lingerie..

Kayla walked around in the store..She was looking for something special for herself..

She heard moaning in the next aisle....She peeped through the row of bras 

She saw a white man, who she did not know and a white woman, who she did know.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..UMMMMMMMMMM" he moaned in between kisses.

"Jeremy ,you're making too much noise...you've got to cool it.." said the woman, Candace Hamilton..

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..UMMMMMMMMMM, Let's get a room." he moaned in between kisses.

"SHHHHHHHHH...I've got to tell you something..We've got to cool it with these meetings..My husband is suspicious..He checks my credit card and debit card bills, I've started getting them sent to me on line...And there is something else.. I think he followed me, That day I had those sexy photos taken by Lenny Fischer.. I think he thought Lenny was the guy I was screwing behind his back.. One day after that photo shoot, Lenny went missing.  I swear, I think my husband had something to do with it.. He's insanely jealous." said Candace.

"That's crazy...Lenny was gay..." said the man named Jeremy.

"He didn't know that....He didn't know that until it came out on the news...He made a crack about Lenny that got me suspicious.that's all... I don't want you to all of a sudden turn up missing..so let's cool it for awhile.., at least until he cools off his suspicions." said Candace.

Kayla snapped a photo of them with her phone without them seeing her and cooly slipped away..

''Wow, do we have enough room in the trunk of your car for all the stuff we bought?" laughed Josie.

''Sure we do."laughed Jazzy.

''You alright Boo Boo?" said Beverly to her cousin...calling her by the childhood nickname she had applied to Kayla since before either of them could talk.

"Yeah I'm okay..." said Kayla.

"I wanna thank you guys, all of you for showing me all of this love today..."said Natalie..

"Because we love you boo!" said Brooke. "Look at the time..It's almost six thirty... We have made this a day.. I'm betting the others are still at Jessica and Chip's thing."said Brooke.

SATURDAY- 8:45 PM

Everyone had cleared out of Jessica and Chip's house..We had had a great time..We were all on our way home.

Gary and Yvette were standing in her doorway..

''Wait a minute, let me see what this is." said Yvette. "It's a text from Kayla.. She says it's important t that I talk to her first thing Monday Morning." said  Ms. Yvette.
