Another Happy Customer

It was a beautiful balmy day out on the river.....We were on Millionaire /Entrepreneur Rollie Rollerson's new Yacht...
 

"How is my favorite attorney and her crew doing today?" asked a happy Rollie Rollerson.

"Just fine....Rollie this yacht is beautiful...Thank you for inviting us.." said Olivia..

Beverly, Nelson, Myself, Josie, Paris ,Bresha, Tony and Alfreda were all popping bottles of Champaigne and pouring glasses.....

"This is soooooo nice Rollie." said Beverly....

"Yeah , thanks for inviting us." said Nelson...

Rollie kept looking at Beverly and smiling and shaking his head.. "Lawd that girl is fine...Her husband is a lucky man..." he said..

He was unaware that Olivia heard him.. "Would you leave my niece alone?...Aren't you married?" she asked, playfully swatting at him..

"Just because you have the Mona Lisa, doesn't mean you can't observe the rest of the portraits in the museum...." he said.

I cracked up laughing....

"Donnie Ray, Don't egg him on!" said Olivia, laughing..

There was one last bottle of Champaigne left... Olivia and I were sharing that with Josie, Paris, Bresha, Tony, and Alfreda..

"This is going to get me tipsy." giggled Josie.. "I'm glad you're with me Paris." she said to her husband..

"I'm glad I'm with you too!" said Paris,laughing sheepishly...

"Ouuuuuuu I'm a little woozy myself...I'd better sit down..."said Bresha..

Tony laughed... "This is Mad Cool and in the middle of the week too." he said.

"Yeah..."said Alfreda..  Her husband, ADA Rockland Cambridge couldn't take off today, A Tuesday....but everyone else's husband did...We closed up the office and joined Rollie on his new Yacht.. He was happy for a successful negotiation we had done for him just a day before..

in a stylish conference room downtown....In appreciation...One of our richest clients...rewarded us with a day on his new Yacht, which he had recently purchased for himself. It wasn't often that we took a day off in the middle of the week...but we'd all been working  pretty hard lately...We deserved  a break.

His Yacht was beautiful...and we were having a very relaxing day......

Rollie had Sandwiches, chips,cookies and a nice salad prepared for our lunch.....

Across from us was another Yacht.... A Mini Yacht... Nelson spotted it.

"Look at that Yacht over there...It's pretty fast...." said Nelson..

''Yeah, but it's not as fly as this one.." said Beverly.

"I know most of the guys with boats out here....I've never seen that one before.."said Rollie.

"It Looks like there is three people on that Yacht and they are jumping off.. Ouuuu Maybe they're hunting treasure."laughed Alfreda.

Three people were diving off the Yacht in Scuba Gear..

"Treasure in this water? This river? Ha...That's a laugh." said Olivia.

"You never know...Some Pirate might have dropped something in this river..." I said.

" Then it would have been found by now." said Josie..

"Unless they dropped something recently." said Paris.

"Listen at us...Just coming up with stuff..We don't know why they're down there...Maybe they like Scuba Diving." said Bresha.

"Maybe....but they could pick better water than this."laughed Tony.

"I'm with you there." said Rollie.

We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing,laughing and talking on Rollie's Yacht...

II-

The Mini Yacht was still across from us.

"I recognize the people on that Yacht..." said Callie  Lowe, who was observing us from the mini yacht..

She was an Attorney, an Attorney on the opposing side of the negotiation we had had yesterday...

in town....

"I don't recognize everybody on that boat, but I do recognize, Olivia Bennett-Alexander, Her niece ,Beverly West, and her husband, Nelson and Olivia's husband, Donnie Ray...I recognize the other two 

attorneys...Josie Boyd and Bresha Billips... I was in an intense negotiation with them yesterday.... Judging by the body language of the other two men... I'm assuming they are the husbands or significant others of the two female attorneys.... I don't know who that other woman is...but I recognize, Rollie Rollerson...He was the plaintiff in the settlement..." she said.

'Well, I don't want them seeing me on this boat..." said her guest, Judge William Brau.

"You know it's not good for the two of us to be seen together anyway...Me being a Judge and you being an Attorney..." he said.

"Oh relax... They aren't worried about us... Moneybags Rollie is celebrating his win yesterday and is treating his legal team to a ride on his big boat...They're probably sloshed right now if I know right...."said Callie Lowe...

"While you were down there , did you find the loot.?" asked William Brau..

"I saw where it was....We are going to have to go down again....but not today...There is too much traffic...Maybe at night...when there aren't any boats out here...It's not going anywhere..We can take our time." said Callie...

"What about Willie?" asked the Judge..

"They'll find him in a few days probably....His body will float to the shore...I made it look as much like an accident as I possibly could..."said Callie..

"Goooood...Goood..."said The Judge...He pulled her to him...

"You won't believe how aroused I am right now..." he said..

''Why wouldn't I?  That's all you think about, besides money..." laughed Callie..

As they began kissing.....passionately....

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!...UMMMMMMMMMMMM MEOWWWWWWW!" she cooed.

"Come Here, you little Minx.....UMMMMMMMMMMM!" he moaned..

He slipped he panties down...

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!! Your hands are so cold....." she said..

"You'll be warmed up soon baby." he said..

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYY!" she cooed..

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!" he moaned loudly..

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!...UMMMMMMMMMMMM MEOWWWWWWW!" she cooed.

As the bed began to squeak loudly...

They wound up in the Cabin Bedroom, making sweet love for the rest of the afternoon......

Nightfall came....

Rollie treated us to a delicious dinner at the Moshulu, seaside restaurant....

"Enjoy Guys...You Earned it." he said.

"You know...Maybe I should go into Private Practice... There is something to be said about the perks you guys get...Although...I get a little nice perk every day....Ummmmmmmm." said Rockland, who joined us after he got off work, sliding his hands up Alfreda's dress..

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" he moaned loudly....

''Would you cool it Horny Toad?" said Alfreda, who was no fan of Public displays of Affection...removing Rockland's hands from up under her dress..

"Wait until we get homeeee....You know I'll take care of you." she whispered in his ear..

Rockland stared at her with a baleful stare...

"Today was simply amazing...."said Olivia.

"I know we'll all sleep good tonight." I said.

"Yes...Out at sea all day...Eating good food, drinking..."said Beverly , who leaned up against her husband's shoulders..

Nelson hugged her gently...

Josie was a little tipsy...but was enjoying her food never the less..

Paris had his hands around her waste.....

Bresha was the first one finished her meal...

Her husband Tony smiled and hugged her tightly...

"I still love you Horny Toad....." she whispered in his ear...as she kissed him and stroked him discreetly under the table...

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" Rockland Moaned..

Alfreda , leaned over and kissed him slowly, softly and  passionately.....

Rollie looked on at his friends...His Attorneys for years...and smiled.. He had remembered when Olivia and Beverly opened the doors of their practice.. 

It had just been the two of them and Josie, who wasn't even a lawyer yet... He watched her law practice grow..to include me, Her husband, Beverly's Husband,

Josie going to Law School and becoming an Attorney and the addition of young Bresha and Beverly's sexy mother as Office manager...

He had lent Olivia money to build her law library and her media room in the adjacent building...

and had given her sound advice on investments...He was proud of Olivia and how she had grown her boutique law firm...

.Had gotten a small Bus Company from a grateful client and had gone in with Beverly's Mother, Alfreda and bought a Catering company...

Olivia was quite the shrewd businesswoman.. He would have married her himself , had he of gotten to her first... he thought and smiled.

III-

TWO DAYS LATER-

The body of a young black man was fished out of the river...he had on a skin diving suit, but no mask and no oxygen tanks..

"Damn... he looks like he's been in the water for about two days...I would say he drowned.."said one CSI official..

"He's got a big head bruise....Hmmmmmm and where is his tank and his mask?" asked Dr. Hazel Baylor., Deputy Coroner

"Yeah?  This looks peculiar..."said Dr. Marcy Martin, also a Deputy Coronor..

Detective Sgt. Brice was first on the scene...He used a finger print capture machine on the victim..

"He's Willie Galvenston..... He's got an extensive sheet...He's a stick up boy...and a box man... Just recently released from prison after serving a two year sentence...He was part of a crew who hit a jewelry store for 2.5 million dollars in jewelry....The swag was never found....The other four boys are still in prison, serving 20 years....Amazing that he got out...." he said.

"Soooooooo he gets a light sentence...That means he finked on the rest of the crew...And somebody took him out as payback." said Lt. Tragg, who was just arriving and heard the tail end of it..

''Lieutenant, we don't know the full circumstances of his death....He may have well been swimming, hit his head on a rock and drowned...We don't know anything yet....Would you let us take him to the morgue ,examine the body and then make a determination?" asked Hazel.

"Hazel, I'm going to have a long talk with Duke, your husband, someone who did go to the academy and someone who like me, IS A DETECTIVE!!!!  MAYBE HE CAN TALK SOME SENSE INTO YOU!!!  "Alright guys, wrap him up and get him out of here... Marcy, I trust you'll get that Autopsy Report to me as soon as possible?" he said.

"Yes Lieutenant!" she said.. "How could I have ever of slept with that man?" she whispered to Hazel..

"A Moment of severe bad judgement.." said Hazel...

"YES!" said Dr. Marcy Martin....

The Body of  Willie Galvenston was removed from the water and placed on a gurney and carted to a nearby van ,which was going to transfer him to the Medical Examiner's Office.

Insurance Investigator, Bonnie Shay stood nearby, watching the whole thing....She didn't want any interaction with Lt. Tragg...

ONE WEEK LATER-

We were having a nice continental breakfast care of our catering company... There was Hot Coffee, Fresh Bagels with Cream Cheese and Jelly, Doughnuts, hot out of the oven and Pastries..

"Ummmmmmmm this is delish." said Olivia..

"Yes.....It's so nice to have this kind of breakfast every now and then, when you don't feel like cooking."said Alfreda.

''Well Dig in everybody....I shouldn't have to tell you guys that." I said.

"Ummmmmmmmm, I'm so glad I don't have any cases on my docket."said Beverly...

"Me Neither....How about you Jo?" asked Nelson as he spread cream cheese on a bagel..

"No , none for me.. I finished up my bond case yesterday....I am helping Bree on her preliminary case."said Josie.

"I should wrap that up in a day or two...but nothing heavy for me." said Bresha.

"Good, maybe we all can go on a short vacay with our friends and neighbors..."said Olivia.. "There's the bell, who's at the door?" said Olivia, before turning on the monitor... "Oh it's Bonnie.. "Come on up Bonnie, we are upstairs." said Olivia through the intercom.."

Our good friend, Bonnie Shay, presently an Insurance Investigator for the Cyclops Insurance Agency and a former New York City Public Defender and Assistant District Attorney as well as IT expert walked upstairs to our domicile..

"Whoooooooo look at all of this.." she said, smiling..

"Pull up a seat...There is more than enough here Bon Bon." I said...

"Awwwww Thank You!" said Bonnie.

"Haven't seen you in a minute girlfriend...How have you been?" asked Olivia..

"Hi Bonnie."said Beverly...

"Hi Bonnie."said Nelson..

"You're still keepin it sharp girl."said Alfreda..

"I'm tryin to be like you." said Bonnie, smiling..

"Hi Bonnie."said Josie..

"Hi Ms. Bonnie."said Bresha...

"Hi Guys....The Reason why I'm here is I need your help....I feel as though Lt. Tragg has arrested the wrong person and it is putting a fork in the road of an ongoing investigation of mine."said Bonnie.

"So What else is new? He always arrests the wrong person." asked Beverly..

"How can we say no to you Bonnie, after all you've done for us?" said Olivia.

IV-

"Four Years Ago...A connected guy named Victor O'Day recruited a stick up crew of five guys...to hit the home of a very wealthy client...Parker Godfrey...."said Bonnie..

"PARKER GODFREY!!!! The Billionaire Philanthropist???" asked Beverly.. 

"He Lives out in Chestnut Hill ,doesn't he?" asked Nelson.

"That is he and to answer your question Nelson, Yes he did...He's in Florida now, a place he considers much safer." said Bonnie.

"As you can see...My uh two lieutenants are well read on the city's movers and shakers."laughed Olivia, smiling and shaking her head.

"Vic O'Day set up the score...His shot Caller...had a complete map of Parker Godfrey's Chest Hill estate....Knew where the Alarm lines were and the crew successfully disabled them...They walked in and they had an expert Boxman or safe cracker with them, who beat the safe alarm and opened the safe and they helped themselves to 2.5 million dollars in jewelry and an additional 1.5 million in foreign bearer bonds... Mr. Godfrey was insured by Cyclops Insurance and I immediately got on the trail of the crew....

I shared information with and formed an alliance with Lt. Danny Ho of Robbery-Homicide and Lt. Sissy Van Buren and her detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division and the FBI and ATF and within a month, we successfully rounded up the entire five man crew , and the shot caller.. We recovered the Foreign Bearer Bonds, but we never recovered the jewels..

ADA's Keith Wallace and Rockland Cambridge prosecuted the whole gang and all but one of them got at least 20 years in prison...

That was a guy who was fished out of the river, a week ago..Willie Galvenston.....

He had a very attractive defense attorney and the Judge was the late Joe Menken

and you know what he had long been rumored to be doing.. Sleeping with the attractive wives or girlfriends of defendant's and giving them a slap on the wrist at sentencing time.. I don't put it past him to have slept with an attorney or two either.

Galvenston's Attorney, Callie Lowe was very attractive and wore tight dresses that accentuated her every cure throughout the trial and made goo goo eyes at the Judge..

.and even though I can't prove it...I wouldn't have put it past her to have slept with the Judge in order to curry favor...

When it came time for sentencing....Willie got two years in prison and was paroled after serving little more than a year and six months...." said Bonnie..

"And Everybody else got Twenty years or more." said Josie.

"You know what that was...Hit it Girls!" said Olivia.

"THE POWER OF THE PANTAYYYYS!" said Beverly, Bresha and Josie in unison...

"I remember that case...Rockland nearly blew a gasket at such a light sentence, especially since this guy didn't co-operate  at all with the authorities...He wondered why he got such a light sentence?"said Alfreda..

"Yeah, it did look mighty suspicious..Talk about going to the mat for you client."said Nelson.

"Yeah she literally went to the mat for her client!" laughed Beverly...

"Yeah it makes you wonder!  What happened to Vic O'Day, the mastermind?" I asked.

''Well nobody would give him up..and there was no forensic evidence that he was at the scene of the robbery, so we were never able to press charges against him...but he paid in a higher court you might say... He was discovered in Camden in a stolen car, a few nights after the final trial with a bullet  right between his eyes and out of the back of his head, slumped over the steering wheel... Looked like a mob hit..  The Jewelry was insured...and Godfrey was happy to get the bearer bonds back...but I still wondered where those jewels were...So when I heard Galvenston was out of prison a few months ago , I began following him... I thought he might lead me to them...  He got away from me and a week ago, he's floating in the river.... Lt. Tragg has arrested his girlfriend, Raylene Singelton....

Charged her with his murder... He's got the wrong person...She didn't do it..I don't think she knows anything about this at all.." said Bonnie.

"And you'd like us to defend her right?" I asked.

"Yes...I believe she's innocent and I can, well ,Cyclops Insurance can pay her legal fees..."said Bonnie.

''Always a nice thing."said Beverly smiling..

''Well Guys, you ready?" asked Olivia.

"I'm ready."said Josie..

"So am I!" said Bresha.

"Then it's unanimous... Raylene Singleton has a legal team." said Nelson.

"Thanks Guys...I knew I could depend on you..."said Bonnie.

"Of course you can." said Olivia, hugging her...

And so, we were on yet another case.
