She was once again up against a team of very good attorneys.. And once again that Jackass ,Lt. Arthur Tragg was the case detective..

She had said she never wanted to work a case with him again and she hadn't for eleven straight cases...Ten convictions.. One hung jury...And now here she was again involved in a case Lt. Tragg had brought in..which like his other cases was as weak as hell.. No fingerprints, no DNA at the residence, A Murder weapon with no fingerprints or DNA, discarded in a trash can, not one eyewitness....but three witnesses who witnessed a violent argument and heard a threat....It was weak and it was not enough....To make matters worse..He wound up getting himself arrested not once, but twice in one night. You had to be a real butthead to get yourself arrested twice in one night, she thought.

"She was a Public Defender and an Assistant District Attorney in Bayside before moving back to Philadelphia and taking a job in the District Attorney's office...Not bad....She's sharp...She dresses sharp and she's sharp in court. I like her."said Beverly...

''Yes she is sharp!.. Who was her baby's father? Did you know?" asked Josie.

"Gary Lockwood!" said Olivia..

"WHATTTTTTT?" asked Bresha.

"MS YVETTE'S GARY?" asked Josie.

"Did she know?" asked Beverly..

"Yes she knew....That was a long time ago, before Yvette and Gary were a couple...Back then us attorneys and the cops were pretty cool with each other.. Me, Vettie, Karen Page, Duke, Sissy , Angie, Tyriq,Gary, Danny Ho..

We all used to drink together and talk..I mean we are still cool with them...This was before Lt. Tragg became so unhinged...

We never warmed to him, he was an asshole then and still one now...He was always a self important jerk of sorts.. Because of him...The Cops all eat in the cafeteria in their new building..

and the attorneys all eat at the Bridge...

We all see each other in Josie's

but it's not like it was before.. A lot of that is because of how Lt. Tragg just annoyed and drove a wedge between everybody....We used to share information...He put a stop to that...and kind of drove a wedge between all of us...Not a big wedge...but enough that we all are in our own camps somewhat."explained Olivia.

"I remember when I first moved here how tight you guys were...You did Sissy's hair for her wedding Liv.." I said.

"Yes, I did,,,,,I remember." said Olivia.

''We ought to start doing things with them again." said Nelson...

"I'm going to call Sissy, invite them to Laundry day and see if we can secure another bus.." said Beverly...

"That's a good idea shortcake, the more the merrier." I said.

II-

An Overcast Saturday Morning -10:00 AM

We stood with several of our neighbors outside of our Office and Duplex...

Two of the Mini Buses owned by our law firm drove up...

Beverly clapped when she saw us...

"Good Morning Everybody...We are going to have Breakfast for you when you get there as well as Lunch." said Olivia.

''Let's get loaded up." I said as we loaded our laundry bags on the bus.

"Everytime is better than the last." said Keith Jones.

"I love your outfits Olivia and Bev, You're matching." said Bee Bee.

"Really, you guys look great." said Sofia.

" Good, because I'm starving." said Kahlil. each had a bag of laundry... They each had a bag of laundry.

" Hi Everyone." said Yvette.

Gary yawned as he carried both of their bags to the bus,.

"Good Morning" said Jade, yawning..and carrying a laundry bag.

''Good Morning." said Danny Ho, also carrying a laundry bag and yawning.

" Good Morning... Glad everybody came out." said Nelson..

"This is going to be the best one yet.." said Josie.

Her husband, Paris yawned also as he loaded their three bags on the bus.

"Liv and Bev out did themselves with the planning." said Bresha..

"Man I love yall, yall is mad cool." said Tony, loading his things on the bus..He had never had friends like this...So cool, so together. He loved being a part of us... He was envious when he first started dating Bresha and was introduced to her friends.

Jazzy, Jessica, Kayla, Dabnis, Ray and Chip were already on the bus..with their laundry..

"This is just in the nick of time....Me and my hubby have two laundry bags a piece." said Jazzy..

''Aye Mios dios..I can't wait...It's been a month since we did any laundry...We stayed in last night bagging everything up and getting it ready." said Jessica.

''I hear you girl, same here..We are busy during the week and Fridays and Saturdays , we're at the gym in the morning, Bar hopping and clubbing all night and too tired to move on Sunday..."said Kayla..

''Well We went out last night, Aqua Bar and Stoleys. but tonight, We are going to Netflix and chill."said Dabnis.

"We Stayed in. We did have dinner at the Mermaid Crabhouse earlier with Liv ,Donnie Ray, Yvette and Gary. Then we all went home. 'We were ready for today." said Chip.

''Kayla and I we were at Aqua Bar and Stoleys last night with Keith ,Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil and Ms. Virginia. We were in Josies for awhile too!.."said Ray

"Josie and I saw you guys in Aqua Bar and Stoleys Last Night..We were there with Bev and Nelson..but we went home after that..We didn't go to Josies. We chillin tonight."said Paris.

''We basically Nexflix and chilled last night and plan to do it tonight too! "said Tony...

"Heyyy everybody." said Zoey, who ran up with her husband and two bags of laundry.

"Hey Guys." said Lem, her husband.

To our surprise, Virginia walked up with her one bag of laundry...We were all so happy to see her.

Jetty was with her, even he had a bag of laundry...

"Heyyy Virginia..I'm so happy you and Jetty could come." said Olivia, who hugged her.

"I was bar hopping with the youngins last night.. I didn't know if I was going to make it." she laughed." I love you and Beverly's matching outfits." she said.

"Thank You...Donnie Ray and I and your Boss and her husband were all at The Mermaid Crab Tavern...For a light Dinner, then we all went home." said Olivia..

''Well, everybody's here...Let's go.." said Beverly..

We all piled on to the two buses and headed off...

Olivia took Nelson's advice about doing more things with our friends in the police department, Most of whom were now in the Criminal Investigation Division... Beverly called Sissy and Sharon...and had another bus

pick up Lt. Sissy Van Buren, her husband, Eddie C. , ADA Keith Wallace, his wife, Carlotta, Tyriq and Sirena, Jimmy and Angie, Duke and Hazel, Sharon and Hop, Private Investigator, Kevin Morris , who had helped us all at one time or another, his wife Sepia, who had sold all of us our homes and Bonnie and Ronnie Shay. I worked with Sissy and her detectives from time to time, sharing information and Kevin had helped me get a foot hold here in the city when I first arrived and his operatives swept our offices for us...Of course Bonnie Shay helped all of us with her computer wizardry. It only made sense that we all should hang out from time to time.

They were overjoyed to be bringing their laundry with them.

On a 45 minute ride, halfway across the city...

To A huge tony ,ritsy titsy building that none of us looked like we belonged in...

It was modern..Ultra modern and beautiful....and empty.....We quickly commandeered it.. filling up the washing machines with our laundry...This laundromat was filled to capacity...

''Beverly, I love this place...We gotta petition our neighborhood laundromat." said Bee Bee.

"Oh My God...I love it!!! So much more space and room and so clean." said Sofia.

"We do have to petition our laundromat to step it up."said Beverly..

"I'm thinking about getting a washer and dryer for our basement." said Olivia.. "But I would still go to this..It's so much fun.

"Let's start loading up while we got this laundromat to ourselves." said Josie..

"The people that live in this building must use it during the week." said Bresha..

"Girl I love it..." said Jazzy...

"This is great Cousin Bev."said Kayla.

''Thank you for bringing us here...You've spoiled us. I don't want to go back to our neighborhood laundromat. said Jessica.

''This is sooo nice, Thank you for inviting me and Jetty.." said Virginia.

"She told me about when you guys did this before... This is nice...Whoever owns this building is cleaning up in this laundromat...At least when you guys come here.

"I told you it would be nice and we are so glad to have you here." said Yvette.

"This place is sooo huge." said Zoey..

"It is " said Jade.

"Liv this is incredible..." said Sissy.

"It's not even a neighborhood laundromat...It's part of this apartment complex and it's bigger and better than ours." said Carlotta.

"Oh My god, this is sooo nice and the best thing, My husband doesn't mind coming with me."said Sirena.

''Liv, Bev, thank you so much for inviting us." said Sharon.

''We need a modern Laundromat like this around our way." said Angie.

"Yesssssss. " said Bonnie Shay.

"We've got to petition our local laundromat." said Sepia..

"Beverly was saying the same thing." said Olivia.

"Thank You for inviting us...This is sooo nice, so relaxing."said Hazel.

After their clothes were in the washing machines..They had a seperate section where they all could talk and dish....

The girls weren't the only ones who liked the place.. Us guys liked it too.. We all loaded our clothes in the washers too and sat and talked and even started a card game that the girls eventually joined in.

There was Baseball and Pre season Football on the huge screens that we watched also..

''Surround Sound and wide screens...Can't beat this." I said.

"I gotta hand it to Bev, this was a great idea." said Gary.

"Man, I'm glad we live on the block with Olivia and Beverly.... They are the best social planners." joked Danny Ho.

"If they ever get tired of practicing law, They've got a second career as event planners.. They already own a bus company." said Lem.

"This is sooo cool, I for once don't mind doing laundry." said Ray..

"You said it man." agreed Dabnis..

"We don't miss the game ...and we can eat and chill." said Nelson...

"I'm glad we live on the block with Olivia and Beverly.... They are the best social planners."said Keith.

''Aint they though?"said Kahlil.

''Ever since I've known them, they've always liked socializing..."said Paris.

''Yeah they mad cool...I knew it when I first met em." said Tony...

"This is nice eh?" said Chip...

"I love it."said Keith Wallace..

"Yeah this is cool."said Jimmy.

"Reminds me how tight we used to be with Olivia , Beverly, Yvette, before Lt. Tragg drove a wedge between us.. We all used to eat at Sam Mother's diner at the same time...That was our warm, safe place." said Tyriq.

"It can still be that way... He can't harrass us all.....And with us surrounding Olivia and her people...He'd have a harder time."said Hop.

"Yeah Perhaps." said Duke.

"He made a disparging remark to my wife about my kid the last time I was in Sam Mother's joint. I avoid the place to keep from kicking his ass and having my license pulled." said Kevin.

"I'm glad I don't have any dealings with him... My wife has told me about his behavior." said Ronnie Shay.

"Here comes my mom with the food."said Beverly.

''I'll help them set up." said Eddie C.

Everybody clapped and cheered.

A Catering Van drove up..

Rockland and Alfreda unloaded and set up everything. Because there was so many people..She had two Breakfast tables set up....That was good because we ate every single thing...

They set up catered Breakfast Trays and passed everybody plates and utensils..Pancakes, Bacon , sausage, Eggs,Hash browns ,orange juice and hot coffee.. Everybody was immensely happy..

We all enjoyed a very good breakfast..while our clothes washed.

''Heyyy everybody is there a washer available.? " asked Karen Page.

We all clapped..She had said she was coming through.

"Heyyy Karen.. Yesss.. There's a washer and a dryer right here!" said Olivia, hugging her.

"Heyyy girl!" said Yvette...who also hugged her.

"Get some food...Grab a plate Ms. Karen." said Beverly.

There was two cold cut trays provided for lunch , with breads, mustard and mayo for sandwiches..

and cokes..

As our clothes were in the dryer...We all watched some Baseball games on the huge monitors with our girls and chowed down on the good sandwiches and sodas... It was a good day...Friendship, Fellowship and Good Food,,Attorneys and Cops..

When we were all done, our clothes washed and dried and bagged up..We left the laundromat as we found it..It's machines with a lot more money in them than they had before we came today!

We all piled into our three buses and vehicles and headed home..Nice way to spend a Saturday.

III-

MONDAY MORNING!

Lt. Tragg was released from custody... He had been locked up since early Thursday Morning, had missed the entire weekend.. He was as could be expected ,Livid...

He noticed Dr. Hazel Baylor sitting and conversing with Olivia..

Naturally he angrily stomped over to their table..

"I know you are not discussing the particulars of the autopsy of Teddy Williamson with Olivia, am I correct?" said Lt. Tragg..

"If I was, you wouldn't know...You never read em.." said Hazel.."And besides...what I'm discussing with Olivia is none of your business.." said Hazel..

"It'll be your business if Doc Gibbons should find out. He and I go back...I've got some drag with him." snarled Lt. Tragg..

Hazel calmly pulled her phone out and passed it to him...

"I've got him on Speed dial...Why don't you call him...See how much drag you think you got!" said Hazel.

He stood there staring balefully at her.. He had gone to

Doc Gibbons about Hazel two times, attempting to have her fired and Doc Gibbons had all but laughed him out of his office.. Doc Gibbons didn't like Lt. Tragg and hadn't liked his father or his uncle either...Though none of them ever knew that..

His Father and His Uncle died never knowing how Doc Gibbons felt about them, But Lt. Tragg certainly knew that Doc Gibbons was no fan of his and he knew Hazel knew that, which was why she was so cocky and disrespectful towards him....

He then turned his attention to Olivia.

" I NEED TO TALK TO YOUR HUSBAND...I INTEND TO PULL HIS LICENSE FOR THAT LITTLE STUNT HE PULLED THURSDAY!"he screamed..

"Do you now? Why don't you check your device...You won't find his prints or DNA on it...Only yours...That seems to be a thing with you...No prints, No DNA...And then you'll explain to your Captain and The Deputy of Operations how you took a GPS Tracking device and placed it on the vehicle of Attorneys you weren't supposed to be within 200 feet of.. with no probable cause , no suspicion of any wrong doing... I'm sure that will go over real well with your superiors..So don't come over here threatening my husband or anyone else on my team....Go on over there and order your breakfast and leave us alone." said Olivia.

He knew Olivia had him dead to rights.. He was already in enough hot water about that GPS device and the incident in Pennsauken...plus he had gotten himself arrested again , THE SAME NIGHT for coming to her house, knocking on her door.. He was the laughing stock of the entire department...

"Look who they let out of the hoosegal, Jack the panty ripper." said Beverly , sitting down..

Nelson usually tried to be stoic, but he couldn't help it...He cracked up laughing..

So Did Josie....

And Bresha...

I smiled, but I didn't bust out laughing... I hugged Olivia

and spoke to Hazel...

Lt. Tragg still stood by our table balefully staring...but we had tuned him out now...

We didn't discuss the case...even though we wanted to...but we would have to wait until we got home...

Beverly, Nelson, Josie, Bresha and I all ordered breakfast...

Olivia ordered more coffee..

"Well Liv, guys...It was nice talkin to you...I've got to get back to work...And like I say..we all should do that again...We loved it." said Hazel, who went to the counter to pay her bill and left..

Lt. Tragg still stood over us balefully staring, as red as a beet..

''Don't you have somebody's panties to rip off or something?" asked Beverly...

The entire table erupted in laughter..

"That's what I mean Liv, you've got to teach these partners of yours some GOTDAMN RESPECT!" he said, so angry his hands were shaking..

We all finished our meals eventually and got up and paid our bills..

We all knew we wouldn't be eating in Sam Mother's anytime soon.

There was no tracking device on our SUV this time and we got in and pulled off,

Leaving Lt. Tragg still standing there.. He had failed to intimidate any one who had been sitting there and like most bullies..He was bewildered. He didn't order any food, He simply left..

Nightfall came.. It had been quite a day....

I stared at the moonlit sky...

I walked into our bedroom..
