A MONDAY MORNING- TWO MONTHS AGO

We were sitting in our conference room with a client...Christian Dayton Sr. New to me, but well known to my wife Olivia Bennett-Alexander, Attorney at law.

I'm Donnie Ray Alexander, An Investigator for the law firm...Alexander and West.. Attorney Olivia Bennett-Alexander is my wife....and her niece,

younger by only 9 years, Attorney Beverly West-East is my niece too by marriage...She was sitting with us too.

"Liv , this is quite a place you got here..Law Library, Media room and your two places upstairs is incredible...You got lots of working capital and retainer fees too." said Christian Dayton Sr. A wealthy

businessman.

"Like yours...I'll always be grateful to you for coming in with me and believing in me when I decided to go for my own." said Olivia.

"Nonsense...That was a no brainer...You always took good care of me when you were at Bang and I liked the idea of a young black woman like yourself, going off on her own...I was here for it...And look what you've accomplished..I'm proud of you." said Christian.

"More Coffee?" said Alfreda , who was pouring us all steaming hot cups

of coffee.

Alfreda blushed but said nothing as she continued to pour us coffee..

He flashed the engagement ring he had purchased from me.

Olivia was good like that...She always took care of her friends and the people she loved. Everyone at this law firm was a testamony to that!

Both Nelson and Beverly had met Mr. Baker's office manager,

Tiffany Rhodes.. She was their age, while Mr. Dayton was ten years older than Olivia..making him almost twenty years older than he and Tiffany.

"Yes...I've had my eyes on her for years....I think it's time.." said Christian Dayton.

He looked around the room..He looked at Alfreda, Beverly, Josie and Bresha....he smiled..

"I must say, you do keep some attractive women around you Liv...." he said..

"My girls are all spoken for... How is your son? I haven't seen him since before I started this law firm..." asked Olivia.

"Don't mention that bum... I sent him to Temple and he flunked out of there....He went to Community College and got his grades up, finished and went back to Temple and just barely graduated.. I pulled some strings and got him in PENN Law school...He was there when your niece and cousin was there..

He flunked out of there the first year.... I got him a job at my firm, He hardly came to work and they fired him... Then he just dropped out...Out of sight.. I haven't seen that bum in five years..I heard he's in London." said an angry and bitter Christian Dayton.

''So according to this new will you've drawn up...All you're leaving him is one of your two homes...No money, no car.? No stocks or bonds." asked Olivia.

"I just love the ambience of this place." said Bresha.
