He was studying the Defense Attorneys and the suspect himself..

As well as other cases on his desk.

Chris Garcetti, An Assistant District Attorney and the son of the present District Attorney walked into his office and peered at the dossiers on his desk... Except for Cheryl Williams and Joseph Bishop Jr. He knew all of the attorneys quite well..He'd been up against them before.

"Matt, you don't want to take this case..trust me you don't....Talk to Artie, get him to drop it.. it's a stone loser...I've had murder cases with more and better evidence than this and against these guys I've still come up short...This case is a stone loser...There was seven people, including the State's Attorney, The State's Attorney man, who said Lt. Tragg started the fight and now there is TWENTY FIVE witnesses who say Lt.Tragg started the fight...plus Olivia and Beverly are signing up all of their friends, people who Artie has annoyed the hell out of in Sam Mother's and in Curleys and in the courthouse and that list could rise to 50 people..They are laughing their heads off with this case...Who have you got? Have you got one witness in your favor? This vendetta Artie has is a loser for him..And that's what they are going to make this look like...and then this thing with the Mayor's Neice that he's gotten himself in further eludes his credibility...Everybody's heard about it...He's the laughing stock of the city.. Mannnn drop this case...Save yourself the humilation of losing and some embarrassment of being linked to it." said Chris.

"I know what you're saying Chris...but it's the challenge, the challenge of going up against Auntie and Neicey and being the first guy to beat them in a long time...That's what I live for."said Matthew Muldoon.

"This aint that time! Another case baby...A Murder case...Something else... They are laughing right now,licking their chops...They are so sure they are going to wipe the floor up with you...Don't do it. It's good to duck a few obvious punches."said Chris, leaving his office..

Matthew Muldoon stared at the dossiers again...He thought about what Chris was saying.

II-

Lt. Tragg was released from jail after spending 48 hours locked up...He went home, showered, shaved and put on a new suit...

He went to Sam Mothers and had his breakfast...

He then went back to the office..

He called the Judges Office...He set up a hearing to pull my license.. 

He then issued arrest warrants for Olivia, Beverly,Nelson, Josie and Bresha on the charge of Obstruction of Justice.

within an hour, Captain Cantrell and ADA Keith Wallace and ADA Rockland Cambridge walked into his office..

"What are you doing? Are you trying to embarrass this department more than you already have?" said a very angry Captain Eddie Cantrell, trying hard not to explode.

"I called Judge Harkins and cancelled your hearing to pull Donnie Ray Alexander's license..."said ADA Keith Wallace. "Your charges have no merit. You have no proof of any wrong doing on his part." he added.

"HE TOOK THOSE GPS TRACKERS OFF OF CHERYL WILLIAMS CAR AND PLACED THEM ON A RANDOM CAR.!!!!!  I WASN'T TRACKING THE MAYOR'S NIECE....I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HER BEFORE TWO NIGHTS AGO!!...I DON'T CARE THAT SHE'S A LESI!" said Lt. Tragg.

"That's who you were tracking..Cheryl Williams???, She works for the States Attorney, The States Attorney..An Unauthorized electronic tap on her car....My god...The legal trouble this department would be in."said an exasperated  Captain Cantrell.

Rockland had the warrants for our arrests  in his hands..He ripped them to shreds and dropped the pieces into the waste basket.

"Obstruction of Justice...Obstruction of Justice? Read a law book and find out the definition." he said.

"THEY LIED TO MY FACE, THEY  TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T KNOW BISHOP WHEN I WAS SEARCHING FOR HIM, AND THEN NO SOONER THAN CHERYL WILLIAMS SPRINGS HIM FROM JAIL, THEY ARE OVER THEIR HOUSE EATING BREAKFAST...I COULD HAVE HAD HIM A WEEK BEFORE!" scream Lt. Tragg.

"That's what this is all about? Because they told you they didn't know him?  Really Artie?/ This is petty, even for you."said Captain Cantrell.

"Donnie Ray took my tracker off of her car and put it on the Mayor's neice;s girlfriend's car...I wasn't tracking her." explained Lt. Tragg.

"Neither his fingerprints ,nor anybody elses is on the tracker, only yours."said Keith Wallace...

''And just for the record Knothead....They really didn't know this guy when you came by and asked about him...Tanya Mosley didn't introduce him to anyone...but Olivia knows Cheryl...They went to High School together and I believe they have Temple University in common...Cheryl made the introductions after arraignment..That's what you saw.."said Rockland.

"You aren't to go anywhere near them....You hear me? Not on their block, not to their house and not within 300 feet of them...That's a direct order...and Artie get yourself a lawyer...The Mayor and her niece are on the warpath...They are suing the city for 2.5 million....The Deputy of Operations is so livid he can't even talk to you right now..Oh and Sgt. Felton who gave you those two trackers against orders has earned himself two weeks on the Marine Boat...So Have you....Report to the port tomorrow morning.. You can come topside for the Bishop trial and this thing with the Mayor's niece...Other than That...I want you on the boat...and that comes from up top.Not me, Not  the Deputy of Operations, but the Police Commissioner." said Captain Cantrell.

The three men left his office.

Lt. Tragg was so angry, tears were flowing from his eyes...He banged his hands on his desk....

A Little while later at our Office /Duplex

In the conference room, Rockland delivered us today's news..

"You should have seen the look on his face when he was told that Felcher, the guy in the supply room and him were both going on that boat...He looked like he wanted to cry.." said Rockland.

 

"Thank you guys for canceling that phony hearing and tearing up those even more bogus arrest warrants. You saved us some work.'' said Olivia.

 

"He's going out of his way with this vendetta...More so than usual." I said.

"This thing with the Mayor's Neice is even worse...They're suing the city for 2.5 million."said Beverly...

'''Wow this is the second or third lawsuit involving him...He could lose his job behind this."said Nelson.

"Oh Joy, we'd be rid of him for good." said Josie.

"Imagine that..Imagine how peaceful it would be."laughed Bresha.

"Yeah but you know what they say about the devil you know is better than the devil you don't."laughed Alfreda.

And at the apartment complex of Joseph Bishop Jr.

"You have a beautiful apartment Joey...I'm surprised this is my first time here...Thank you for allowing me to change here for Stephon Bristol's all white party tonight."said Tanya Mosley...They had both taken the day off....

"That's because I've been over your house so much...I wanted you to come to my place.We've got plenty of time before that party...Let's uh make the best of it...Heh heh heh.." he said..

They kissed passionately.....

"Guilty as charged counselor.." said Joseph Bishop...

"Olivia , Beverly, Vettie , everybody....Hello...Well I guess some of you know him by now...This is my boyfriend, Joseph Bishop Jr. he's an attorney with the Harris Group." said Tanya...

"And presently a defendent in a felonious assault case against your friend and mine, 

"Hellooooo. Tanya you look incredible."said Olivia.

"Thank You Liv....Ouuuuu Chanel eh? Go ahead Boss lady."laughed Tanya,

"Oh I do what I cannnn"laughed Olivia.

"Hi Donnie Ray, Beverly, Nelson, Josie, Paris, Bresha, Tony, Alfreda and Rockland." said Tanya.

 

"Hello again!" I said.

"Wow..Stephon Bristol is going to keep us at nice gala events."said Beverly.

"Him and Rollie Rollerson are our two best clients." said Nelson.

"They're our richest...if nothing else. Hello Ms. Tanya.."said Josie,laughing..

''Damn you look girl...everybody looks good. Hi Ms. Tanya."gushed Paris.

"Awww you only say that cause it's true...Hi Ms. Tanya."laughed Bresha.

''Hello...What a night." said Tony..

"Hello states Attorney Mosley...This is warm weather for a winter night."said Alfreda.

"It is. Hello Tanya."laughed Rockland. 

"Tanya ,you look wonderful...very rested."said Yvette.

''Well Laid too!Huh?" whispered Yvette..

"Yeah it was...and good organizing on your part...Getting everybody to do it."said Dabnis.

"Our bags are all downstairs and we can just pick them up when the buses come to take us home."said Kayla.

''Mannnnn this is sooo cool and the best part is...it's an open bar and free."said Ray...

"Yesssssssssss." agreed Jessica.

''Enjoying yourself, Karen?"asked Chip..

"Immensely, this is soooo relaxing." said Karen ,who was sitting in her husband, B.L.'s lap.

"Man, I'll have to have Stephen Bristol on my show.." laughed B.L. "He throws the best events.." he said.

"Ouuuuuuu I love this." said Natalie.

"I love it too."said her husband, David.

Who kissed her slowly and softly...

"Open Bar...Free drinks...You can't beat that."said Brooke.

''No you can't and a D.J. too!" laughed her husband, Sean.

Zoey and Lem stood in a corner in each other's arms as if they were dancing......

"This is so romantic."said Renee.

It was a packed house tonight

...The drinks were flowing

 and the two D.J.'s were very good....

Standing there watching the entire thing and seeing all of us on the boat was Lt. Tragg,preparing to go out on the Marine Boat, He was out of Homicide and on the Police Marine boat indefinitely...until this trial was over..and the other matter with the lawsuit by the Mayor's Neice was settled. His future looked bleak at the moment.

He was livid...Especially seeing Joseph Bishop Jr. and states Attorney Tanya Mosley together on the boat..

kissing with wild passionate abandon, not worried about his upcoming trial..

..."Look at em partying their hearts out...Well Mr. Bishop, enjoy yourself..You'll be sitting in Stanga State Prison remembering it all and your girlfriend, Ms. States Attorney, Tanya Mosley will probably be laying up with another man....Just wait."he snarled angrilly.

He was livid as he boarded the Marine Boat for the first of his Night time cruises.

IV-

The next morning, we had a staff meeting in our conference room,,

"I've checked out the courtroom schedule for this case...With all of the back up in our court system...This case may not come up for awhile...I know you all have other cases on your dockets...just try not to get too bogged down." said Olivia.

"The Good News, The really good news is that Lt. Tragg is out of Homicide and assigned to the Marine Boat indefinitely...That means we can eat in Sam Mother's Diner and go to Couples Night at Curleys with no worries from him." I said.

Beverly, Josie and Bresha all cheered in unison.....

"Man this is going to be great, because I have some individual court work coming up...You girls do too!"said Nelson.

"He went too damn far with this vendetta of his....It's gotten him into more trouble than he imagined."said Beverly...

"Yes it did....He's off the streets until this case of ours is settled and that's not coming up anytime soon from the looks of things and then there is this matter of the Mayor's niece's lawsuit in civil court...So we'll be free of "The Great Detective " for a lonnng while..."said Olivia.

"Hallelujah" said Alfreda..

"THANK YOU JESUS!" said Olivia.

"Arthur Tragg off the streets indefinitely..."laughed Beverly...

"SAY IT AINT SO!" laughed Nelson...

"YESSSSSSSS!" said Josie.

"THANK YOU JESUS!" said Bresha.

This was the happiest I'd seen the whole team in a long time...I was genuinely happy for them...But you know me..I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

At this point the Philadelphia Police Unit rolled out on the River...

Lt. Tragg sat on the deck wondering if for just a moment , if he'd gone too far?
