VENTURES: Contrition

The Next few weeks were pure heaven while we waited for a trial date in the Joseph Bishop case...

Lt. Tragg was out of Homicide indefinitely and assigned to the Police Marine Unit...until his two legal battles were settled..

Olivia began lecturing at Middleton Law School in Bayside for a week....

Beverly was reunited with her cousin Kayla and her high school buddies, Jazzy and Renee in a case in which Josie came along too!

I assisted them in their investigation.

The Girls had the time of their life in court...They won their case!

And enjoyed Breakfasts and Lunches in Sam Mother's Diner, without worrying about being hassled by Lt. Tragg. It was so Nice...

Nelson, Ray, Dabnis, Tony and Tyrell also worked on a case...

I also assisted them in their investigation.

Paris was in school the entire time...He couldn't wait to graduate ,pass the bar and be a working attorney.

Like the girls...They enjoyed their time in court...They won their case handily also...

and enjoyed Breakfasts and Lunches in Sam Mother's Diner, without worrying about being hassled by Lt. Tragg. It was so Nice...

Meanwhile , Bresha worked a case with Yvette Jones and her crew of Keith Jones, Beatrice Evans, Sofia Garcia-Ahmed, Kahlil Ahmed and Jade Lee Ho.

.She hadn't worked with them since she had been an intern...She enjoyed it immensely and they enjoyed her being around.

Like the others , they were in court...a case that might have involved Lt. Tragg... They ,also like the others won their case.

And they too had several meals and meetings at Sam Mother's Diner...Meals and meetings they couldn't have had in peace with Lt. Tragg around...

Everyone could see how peaceful it was without Arthur Tragg around..Sam Mother noticed it.

Her Stint Lecturing at Middleton Law School over, Olivia and the team, reunited again..worked a case with Our friends in The Innocence Project ,Attorneys Jessica Sanchez-Burrows, Charles "Chip" Burrows

, and Wrongful Conviction/Conviction Integrity Attorneys, . Karen Page-Benz, Natalie Charles, Brooke Marks, David Charles and Sean Marks...

A landmark case tried in Federal Court.. Another Big case that they won....

Finally, for the first time in four years...Olivia and team worked a case with good friends, Zoey and Lem Anderson...

Another Case argued in court and another big win....

Watching all of these trials very closely was Assistant District Attorney Matthew Muldoon...He was at every trial...All 5 of them..

"WOWWWW THEY ARE GOOD...AND THEY PREPARE WELL!!!THEY MAKE EVERYONE AROUND THEM BETTER! but with all of these trials..I'm betting they are exhausted and not ready for this Felonious Assault case when it comes up.I'm going after them full force...They are ripe for a defeat..He thought as he left court...

After a day on the Marine Boat

Lt. Tragg met with his F.O.P. Lawyer, Louis C. Brown..

And Prosecutor, Matthew Muldoon...

at a local bar near the wharf...

They ordered a round of beers...It was the end of a long day.....

"Thanks for meeting me here guys...What does it look like?" asked Lt. Tragg..

"This lawsuit doesn't look good Artie..The Mayor's niece is in seclusion...She hasn't been to work and her girlfriend has left town.....The Mayor is grappling over her discovery that she's Gay and the lawsuit is still on.. I have found out that a number of people knew she was gay, but that she wasn't flamboyant about it." said Louis C. Brown.

"Oh Hell, so what and who cares in this day and age, who is a lesbian or not???...What is the big deal?" scoffed Lt. Tragg.

"The Big Deal is it was a privacy issue...and it didn't help that you had the press there snapping photos...

and worse.....Guess who her attorney is... Justin Brown..

"Ohhhhh for the love of Pete..." sighed Lt. Tragg.

"The Good News is he doesn't hate MY guts...I'm meeting with him tomorrow...You never know what you can negotiate over a corn beef special."said Louis C. Brown.

"What have you got to report?" Lt. Tragg asked Assistant District Attorney Matthew Muldoon.

''A Trial date for this doesn't seem to be coming up anytime soon. Your "friends" however have been very busy.....Olivia lectured at Middleton School of Law for two weeks..Neicey Poo and The light skinned girl with the big tits tried a case with some other young ladies....Nelson East and some other guys ,including that guy who sued the city before tried a case, The youngest lawyer tried a case with Yvette Jones and her snot nosed youngins as you call them and then the whole group, reunited with the Innocence project and Wrongful Conviction/Conviction Integrity and tried a case in Federal Court and finnally they teamed up with two other attorneys and tried another big case in Federal Court..They won all five of those cases... I'm thinking they have been soooo busy that they have let thte particulars of this case fall by the way side... This would be the perfect time for me to catch them and beat them...When they're exhausted or shell shocked. " said Matthew Muldoon.

"Provided a court date comes up soon and they get their rest. You don't know them well do you?...Olivia, her niece, Beverly and Beverly's husband, Nelson...They're former Public Defenders...They've handled six cases at a time...They don't get exhausted...Pressure doesn't faze them."said Louis C. Brown...

Lt. Tragg looked weary...''Stop sounding like a fan girl Louie....What about Bishop? What's he been up to?" asked Lt. Tragg.

"He hasn't got a care in the world...He spends most of his nights at Tanya Mosley's house...and she spends her weekends at his apartment....They're pretty open with their relationship now.. Her office isn't paying his legal fees...Looks like his firm is..Cheryl Williams appears to be done with his case.we've got nothing to hang on States Attorney Mosley.." he said.

"How slick is she...This Tanya Mosley , She's totally insulated on this one." said Lt. Tragg, sighing and sipping his beer..He was miserable being out on the Marine Boat, away from Homicide..And this time there was no day limit..He couldn't come back until both of his legal cases were settled. Sgt. Felcher had done his two weeks and was already back at work, while he was stuck...stuck on the river...

He lamented his fate and the awful turn of events.

As he and the two other men drank their beers.

The Trials were over...We could rest for the first time in weeks....

''Funny you should mention him....He's next door...my staff attorney Justin....You know him, Justin Brown....He is representing the Mayor's Niece in the law suit against the city for Tragg's mishap in Lovers Lane...Tragg and his lawyer Louis C. Brown are meeting as we speak...They might be reaching a settlement today." said Vivian..

''Drag it out as long as possible...Keep him on that damn boat."joked Olivia.

''Aren't you representing the State's Attorney's boyfriend, who is accused of thrashing him?" asked Vivian, laughing..

"I am.... but a court date for that hasn't come up yet....Thank goodness....I am so enjoying him not being around...It's been a month and a half now..Almost two months....Pure Heaven girl!"laughed Olivia.

''Gentlemen...Good News for your side.The Mayor's Niece is willing to drop the entire matter...She's planning to move to San-Francisco...She's already quit her job... and she's planning to leave soon...She dropped the law suit because her Aunt is the Mayor and she didn't want to hurt the city....She really just wanted to hurt you Tragg....but you have what they call qualified immunity."said Justin..

The Three men enjoyed Corn Beef Specials and hot coffee while they talked.

"Well thank God for that...She came to her senses..."said Lt. Tragg.

"Buttttttttttt only if Lt. Tragg gives a full apology on Television at a news conference!!" stated Justin Brown.

"I WON'T DO IT!!! I'VE DONE NOTHING WRONG!! OUT OF THE QUESTION!!!" snarled Lt. Tragg.

"ARE YOU CRAZY ARTIE???? This is a chance to have the whole law suit dropped...The City pays nothing...You apoligize on TV and this whole law suit goes away....You're one step closer to being back in Homicide.back on the street, off that boat...Don't be a food Artie...This is a godsend."said his attorney

Louis C. Brown.

"It's the only move you have." said Justin....

Lt. Tragg was as red as a beet....but he knew both Attorneys were right...It was a small price to pay to make a 2.5 million dollar law suit go away.

TWO DAYS LATER-

We All, Olivia, Myself, Beverly, Nelson, Josie ,Bresha and Alfreda sat watching the news on the television monitor in our conference room..

as Lt. Tragg and his lawyer addressed the press..

"I uh Lieutenant Arthur Tragg the third of the Homicide Unit of the Philadelphia Police department would like to apologize to the Mayor's Niece, Lesley Girard and her uh friend, Willamena Jefferson for my most ergregious invasion of their privacy in my haphazard and truly reckless attempt at follwoing what I thought was uh er ruh criminal activity....For this I am deeply sorry and I uh ruh do deeply apologize to these women, They had a right to their privacy and to the Mayor and to you, the people of the city of Philadelphia." he said.

It was odd seeing Lt. Tragg show a bit of contrition.
