Raining All Over The World

The Next Morning we met in Sam Mother's Diner for Breakfast...

A Heavy Rain was falling outside..The kind of rain that made it seem like it was raining all over the world!

"Did you guys hear what happened last night, right after we left?" I said..

"Damn...I'm hurting for him." said Kahlil..

''Didn't somebody target him a few years ago? Blew up two or three of his cars, even took out a gas station." said Sofia.

"Heads up, here he comes." said Bee Bee.

We were taking a chance eating here...We weren't involved in any court case involving him...We figured he wouldn't be on the warpath with us...

He walked in...He walked right past us...

"Just coffee today Sam... I'm putting a team together...We are going over that case a few years ago when somebody targeted me for assasaination...remember, blew up three of my cars and took out  a gas station. We never caught the perp...They just stopped...Now they're back at it again...Well, they won't get away with it this time." he snarled.

"Let's Meet Ms. Yvette on campus." I said , hugging Bee Bee.. There are some great make out spots in that building I used to dream of getting you alone in." I whispered to her..

We had eliminated two suspects...but there was still two more..

''Hello..As you know from your computers, phones, social media , radios and television...This has now gotten very serious...It just got real as they say...with real world consequences..Bobby Atwell has been missing now for 15 days...His father has put out a million dollar reward for anyone with any information as to his whereabouts..." said Ms. Yvette.

"I'm tellin you, if you wasn't married, I could really go for you." Gabe Cataldi said to Ms. Yvette.

Ms Yvette laughed.

"You couldn't handle all of this." she said.

"You never know..." he said salaciously..

Natalie and Madison sucked their teeth in disgust...

Darryl laughed...

"Natalie...you and Madison don't like each other do you?  I perfectly understand... ''We talked to both of them and they had iron clad alibis..One wasn't even in Philly and the other one was at work with plenty of witnesses...Which brings us to you Natalie..Where were you?" asked Sofia.

"Bee your husband is crazy" laughed Kahlil..

''Who are you telling? I'm married to him...I LIVE WITH HIM!" sighed Bee Bee.

"If you're going to be a Criminal Defense Attorney you have to think like a detective...You have to ask your client and anybody involved with your client all pertinent questions concerning them and their case.." said Ms. Yvette keeping the conversation serious.

"Which brings me to you Natalie...Several of the people on your floor recall hearing your music...but they. they don't recall seeing you....I would have been suspicious except..One person came forward...Wally Drollinger.. Apparently you weren't alone in that room, You two were, according to him, doing more than listening to music...and I'll leave it at that." I said.

"Oh My God...You and Wally Drollinger?  Wow...Breaking up with me hurt you more than I thought."laughed Gabe Cataldi...

"You know, people do get over you Gabe... Don't flatter yourself.. Wally Drollinger is not a jock , doesn't drive a fancy car, but he's kind and he's nice and he's smart...All the things you are not!"said Natalie.

Bee Bee ,Sofia and Ms. Yvette laughed.

''Which brings us to you Gabe..Where were you at 6:00 pm , the afternoon that Bobby Atwell vanished.?" asked Kahlil..

"In The Library, studying for my exam..But I'm sure you know that already and I'm sure you found witnesses to verify that." laughed Gabe.

''Oh we did...but they also said that you left and came back at least two times and one time you were gone for an hour."said Sofia.

"I went back to my room to get something and then came back to the library." said Gabe.

''Can you prove that?" asked Bee Bee.

"No and you can't prove otherwise." he said, smiling at Bee Bee and staring at her cleavage...

"Touche'  Okay kids...That's all for today...I'll see you tomorrow." said Yvette. "Let's Go Guys." she said.

"Ms. Yvette, you think maybe it's none of them???...They all have solid alibis.."said Sofia.

"I was looking hard at Gabe...but he got me today.."said Bee Bee.

"No he didn't..All he did was open himself up..Make himself look guilty.." said Ms. Yvette,.

"There is still a loose end we have to tie up." I said.

"Yeah...and I'm sure there is an explanation."said Kahlil..

"And that explanation will lead us to the real killer."said Jade.

As we pulled off in her Nissan Pathfinder...She filled Ms. Yvette in on Lt. Tragg's car exploding the night before and we all had a good hearty laugh as we headed home..

It was raining... We were close to wrapping this case up...We all chose to go home afterwords..
