A Typical Saturday at Sam Mother's diner... Sam Mother was happy, The place was filled with people and orders were flying..

Orders were up...Food orders were being passed out..

"I'm telling you guys...Whenever you're in court you've got to stop by Malcolm Paltrow's trucks..The food is soooo good." gushed Olivia about our latest client.

''Oh My god yes...and in the summer, you can eat his sandwiches of other food right there on the courtroom steps." I said.

"Especially those Cuban sandwiches...Isn't that right Baby?" said Beverly to Nelson..

"Yes...He sent us a box of sandwiches during the trial..They were so good." said Nelson.

"YESSSSSSSS!" said Josie..

"I'm telling you...The man was on point with his food.."said Josie's boyfriend, Paris.

"Oh I've eaten off of his trucks...He has one in front of our building.."said Yvette.

"I hipped her to his trucks when she used to come to see me at lunch ." said Gary.

''We love his food."said Keith Jones..

"I wish he served Breakfast...We lost our good Coffee and doughnut guy,,,He used to make them right on his truck." said Bee Bee.

"Yeah, he was killed in a freak accident a year ago." said Sofia.

"Here comes our platters." said Kahlil as our food arrived.

"I know Malcolm....He and I developed a friendship , when I started coming to court with you guys."said Jade Lee..

The rest of our neighbors filed in...

"Hi Everybody." said Kayla..

''We decided to risk it all like Melo to eat breakfast this morning..We are glad you guys are here." said her husband, Ray..

He was speaking of Lt. Tragg and how he couldn't seem to help harrassing them when he came in..So much so that they were all either eating at home or going somewhere else to eat breakfast at times..

"There is safety in numbers."said Jazzy..

"I'm not worried about him...I came to eat and that's what I plan to do.."said Dabnis..

"Ohhhhhhh let's all eat and stop worrying about him...He's one guy...Cop or not ,he should not intimidate us so much that we can not enjoy our food."said Jessica.

"Yeah come on let's order..."said her husband Chip...

They all ordered...

ADA Ron Harper and Gerri Williams walked in, hand in hand and smiled and waved at everybody...They took a seat at the counter..

And then HE WALKED IN....Looking disheveled and drunk as usual on a Saturday Morning..

Even Sam Mother sighed. He didn't want any trouble.. Several people were in here eating that he usually warred with...Especially when he had just lost a case..

He saw all of them...The lawyers, The defense attorneys who had made his life and his reputation a living hell..

He was furious about losing a big case recently....but before he could concentrate on them, Two others walked in..

ADA Diane Baronski and ADA Jake Patais walked in...They were holding hands.. Out of all of her alleged lovers, Jake seemed to be lasting longer...He appeared to be the one.. Lt. Tragg hated him.

"Hi Olivia, Beverly, Yvette and crew." said Diane Baronski...She had nothing but respect for the two teams of attorneys who had beaten her in court..

They smiled and waved at everyone...Jake walked over to me and Nelson..

"Donnie Ray, Nelson...I never properly thanked you two for saving my life...I am in your debt...I owe you..One proffer.." he said and laughed..

"Oh You're welcome man...It was the least we could do.." I said.

"We didn't want to lose you...We were doing so well."said Nelson and they all laughed.

''We'll take that proffer though." said Olivia.

"ADA Baronski, does that go for you too?" asked Beverly..

"Yeah, how bout it?" laughed Josie..

"Hey you guys saved his life...Not Mine!" joked ADA Diane Baronski..

"Hi Yvette...Hello guys." said ADA Diane Baronski...

"Disgusting...All of those attorneys handed both of them stunning defeats...and they're over there laughing it up with them...Both of them."snarled Lt. Tragg..

"We don't hate them...I've lost my share to both groups...but it's just a job....Outside the job I don't have anything personal against Olivia or Yvette or their team members.. In fact, Olivia and I and Nelson and Beverly used to be Public Defenders at one time and Yvette and I worked at another Law Firm briefly before I took a job at the D.A.'s Office."said ADA Ron Harper.

"Yeah, win some, Lose some, appeal and move on..Olivia and Yvette and I get mani pedis together and go to the same hair dresser...How am I going to hate them?" said ADA Gerri Williams.

"Bahhhhh nonsense.."said Lt. Tragg..

"You don't hate Olivia or Yvette...I've seen you talking, even sharing a laugh with them in the hallway in between hearings..What's eating you now?" asked ADA Gerri Williams..

Before he could answer, the newest ADA walked in.. The very attractive ADA, Dr. Alice Bourdain walked in and sat at a table..

She looked at a menu...

Lt. Tragg, who hadn't ordered yet invited himself to her table..

"Good Morning Alice.." he said.

" Oh Good Morning Lieutenant...." said Alice.. "Have you been drinking?" she asked.. The smell of Jameson's Whiskey was all over him..

"Last night...What are you havin doll your breakfast is on me." he said smiling, running his hands along her legs and inching them up her skirt..

She removed his hands and placed them on the table..

"We aren't going to do this...Now I've told you that and uh ruh...I'm expecting a breakfast guest." she said.

"What? Breakfast Guest??" he asked.

"Yes...A Breakfast Guest....I've been subletting his condo...And I've found a new place..He's meeting me here this morning.." she said.

ADA Richard Gray walked in...

"Hiiiii Dr. Bourdain." he said as he sat down..."Sorry I'm Late..." he said.

"Hi Richie...You're not in my class anymore..I don't care.."Said Dr. Bourdain with a smile.

"You taught him too?" asked Lt. Tragg..

"Yes I did...At St. John's University..." said Alice Bourdain...

''Yes she did...We have history...Good Morning Artie, will you be dining with us this morning?" asked ADA Richard Gray.

"Uh NO HE IS NOT!!! I'll talk to you later Lieutenant!"said Alice Bourdain.

Lt. Tragg was as red as a beat..He stood up abruptly, stomped his foot and marched back to the counter..

Ray snickered and banged his hand on the table..

Dabnis laughed loudly...

''Come On you two don't...don't start..."said Kayla,pleading with her husband and her friend..

"Bad as I want to laugh...I'm going to hold it..We've finished our meals...Let's get out of here."said Beverly..

"Yeah, come on honey, don't start with him... I hate this. Much as I like this place..We gotta find another place to eat..Free of him."said Jazzy..

We all paid our bills and began to file out..

''Do you think either Lt. Tragg or ADA Bourdain knows that ADA Gray is Gay?" asked Jessica.

"I'm sure she knows...She was his teacher at St. Johns , Just like she taught Nelson...I don't think Lt. Tragg knows though he might..He was the arresting officer in that case where we defended him."said Olivia as we all filed out.

"Poor Guy...he can't win for losing."laughed Chip.

Every one of us was gone.. ADA Gerri Williams and ADA Ron Harper sat at the counter kissing passionately.. They had finished and paid for their meals..

"Ummm this is like dessert.." Gerri cooed..

"Jealous Artie?" said Sam Mother as he cleared away his plate... Lt. Tragg's eyes were on ADA Bourdain and ADA Gray....They had finished their meals, both thrown some dollars on the table and were laughing and talking famously...

oblivious to the fact that practically everyone else had left..

"I wonder if she knows he's queer?" said Lt. Tragg..

"Artie ,come on now...Knock it off."said Sam Mother.. Thinking about his late Father and Uncle, both who were horrible human beings and cops... He had thought young Artie would be better...but he was becoming just as bitter and just as bad as those two had been...

"Ummmmmm what do you want to do today?" said ADA Diane Baronski to her young beau, Jake Patais, nicknamed "Lawyer Bae by young female attorneys...

Lt. Tragg looked on in disgust...

"Those two are going to make me hurl.." he snarled..

ADA Diane Baronski paid both of their bills...She didn't look Lt. Traggs way...She was still smarting from their last conversation a few weeks ago at Curley's Bar.

She got up, tossed a few dollars on the table and walked out abruptly as people looked on and gasped...

Curley helped Lt. Tragg up off the floor..

"Artie, you really know how to bring it out in people, don't you? " he said and shook his head..

It was the cruelest and nastiest thing Artie or anyone had said to her...and she hadn't spoken to Lt. Tragg since that afternoon..It had been almost a month now..

She paid her bill and she and Jake

walked out of the door hand in hand...

Lt. Tragg left..

He stood on the corner and drank the entire bottle of Jameson's Whiskey and tossed the bottle in the trash...

He got in his car and begin to drive..

He saw people he knew. on the street..
