"Yes, the food is good...I don't come down here often enough.." I said.. I'm Attorney Keith Jones and we were here with our supervisor, Attorney Yvette Jones and an old friend of ours from college.
"It was nice of Jessica to invite us to lunch now that she's all set up..."said my other friend and associate, Attorney Sofia Garcia..
"Nicer still that our meals are all on the house.."said my buddy, Attorney Kahlil Ahmed..
"I'm surprised myself at my cousin's generosity . said our investigator, Jade Lee, who , small world that it is ,happened to be our old friend's second cousin...
"Thank you so much for inviting me and my staff out to lunch Jessica...."said Ms. Yvette..
"It's the least I could do...Your staff won me over a million dollars in that Jurgens settlement..."said a happy Jessica..
"How are things at the Women's Law Center?"asked Bee Bee.
"Oh just wonderful..I couldn't ask for better colleauges...and we are doing some fantastic work..."said Jessica.
"You've got it all girlfriend.." said Sofia.
"Noooo you and Bee Bee got it all...You work at a great firm and in addition you have great guys in your life...All of you." she said..Looking at me and Kahlil...
Even you and my cousin.." she said looking at Ms. Yvette and Jade.

"I don't even have a pet...I go home to my condo....and it's Netflix and Uber Eats..
"I seem to remember you and a certain Police Lieutenant were pretty hot and heavy for awhile...Going to the Zoo...Going to the Aquarium.."said Jade with tongue in cheek..
This brought guffaws of laughter from Bee Bee, Myself ,Sofia, Kahlil and Ms. Yvette..
"Oh My God...I saw you two together and I was like ,ole girl has taken a leave of her senses.."laughed Bee Bee.
"I was hoping, praying it wasn't true.."I laughed..
"I thought that maybe you were playing him.."said Sofia..
''I thought he was blackmailing you.."said Kahlil, which brought more loud laughter from our table..
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh come on......but I was worried there for a moment..."said Yvette.
"He came on pretty strong..but I got the impression at first that he was trying to make somebody jealous...Some other woman...Speaking of him...He's on a boat now, with the Marine Unit...I saw him about a week ago at Penns Landing...His hair was mussed up...He had on a bomber jacket.jeans and a denim shirt and he looked like he was tanked...A far cry from the spit shined shoes, tailored suit, every hair in place neat guy I uh tolerated.."said Jessica.
"He's off that boat....That was for a month...He's back on the street now."said Kahlil..
"In all his spit shined shoe, Tailored suit, annoying glory." I said..
''Yeah." said Bee Bee.
"We had a nice month ,while it lasted.."sighed Sofia.
"That's why it's nice to eat at different places for lunch, like this."said Ms. Yvette..

The proprieter of the restaurant....A man named Eddie Lee walked over to our table..
"Glad to see that you guys are enjoying yourselves...Your main courses are coming shortly."he said.
He looked over at Jade.
''Jade Lee is that you babe?" he said.
"Hello Eddie..." said Jade..
"Well Don't be rude...Introduce me to your friends..I heard you got your citizenship recently...Fantastic!"said Eddie Lee..
Jessica whispered to Bee Bee..
"He's Cute!" she said...
"He is..."said Bee Bee..
"Definitely."said Sofia..
" These are the attorneys who got me my citizenship....I work for them now as an Investigator, I have a P.I.'s license...To my left, Ms. Beatrice Evans, Ms. Sofia Garcia..
"Pleased to meet you.."said Bee Bee..
"Likewise."said Sofia..
and to my right..Mr. Keith Jones and Mr. Kahlil Ahmed..
''What's up Buddy?" I said.
''Hey what's happening?" said Kahlil.
and our supervisor, Ms. Yvette Jones..

"I never forget a face...You've been here before...With uh Lt. Gary Lockwood...He's uh an investigator for the D.A.'s office now."said Eddie Lee.

Before Jade could answer...Jessica, purely star struck said..."I'm Jessica, Jessica Lee...I'm Jade's second cousin.."she said..
"That Makes Sense....Jade is a beautiful woman, so naturally her relative would be equally beautiful...Oh look , here come your entree's enjoy!"said Eddie Lee..
as seven platters of steaming hot Asian cuisine was placed in front of us...
"Jade, you know him? Oh My God...He's fine!"said Jessica, who was more Americanized than even Jade.
"He is a very handsome man Jessie, but he's also a gangster..."said Jade.. This restaurant is five star, one of the best in Philadelphia...Wins awards...but it's also a front.." she said.
"A front?? Really?" I asked.
"Yes ,really..."Upstairs is where the real action is...Upstairs, houses a floating crap game attended by the Russian Mob and several Asian Mobsters..... Everybody knows about this...but Eddie Lee keeps things quiet in Chinatown and the Police mostly turn their backs to him...
He is said to be a loan shark...Because of his reputation...There is little if any violence in this neck of the woods...If people owed..They paid as far as Eddie Lee was concerned... His reputation guaruntees that people pay and nobody bucks the system."said Jade.
''Yeah, Gary has told me as much...He has gone to Eddie Lee for information several times...He likes him though as a person..but make no mistake...as charming as he is...He is indeed a gangster...No convictions though...Not one..Not even for jaywalking..No juvie record...and get this..He has a Bachelors Degree from Temple for Business Administration and an MBA from PENN....Not only that..a degree from the School for Culinary Arts.."said Yvette.
"I didn't even know that...His Father and his older brothers are from my village in Mainland China..They were stone cold gangsters...He was born here in Philadelphia..and to my knowledge , never set foot in China until he was 21....That's how I met him...When I was a young recruit on the Police Force.. I ran into him again years ago ,when I was on loan to the Philadelphia Police on a big case...I took down his cousin...The Black Dragon...His family name is Lei-Check....He has Americanized his name to "Eddie Lee."said Jade.
''So Have you..Your name isn't really Jade Lee...It's Moulan Ze Dong....Just as I am Jai Ze Dong...We have all Americanized our names..."said Jessica.
"It's Not About that Jessie...He's a gangster...He doesn't have a sheet for now...but it's just a matter of time...But I can't protect you from everything...I'm just your cousin....You're a grown woman and a successful attorney...Just be careful.."said Jade, who was 11 years older than Jessica.

After dinner....
A Bottle of Plum Wine was brought to our table
and seven glasses were brought and filled...
''Oh Myyyy...I-I didn't order this.."said Jessica...
"It's on the house.."said Eddie Lee...Smiling and if I'm not mistaken ,making goo goo eyes at Jessica.
''Was he making Goo Goo Eyes at Jessica?" I asked, well aware of her charms...I had fallen for them once..
"I think so...I definitely peeped it." whispered Bee Bee..
"I peeped it too."said Sofia..
''Well it wasn't just him..She was flashing the ole peepers at him too."whispered Kahlil..
"Well Thank you." said Jessica ,passing the waiter her Credit card ,to pay for all of our meals and with a generous tip...
The waiter brought her card back with a smile and mints for all seven of us...
"This is great...A nice meal and free drinks afterwords…"said Yvette//
"Gary is going to be in trouble tonight...So is Keith and Kahlil after you ladies drink this stuff..It makes you very horny..."giggled Jade..
"So a certain Robbery-Homicide Lieutenant whose last name is Ho might be in trouble tonight also."joked Yvette...
"Ohhh Most definitely.." said Jade,laughing as we all continued to drink..
Jessica and Eddie Lee talked quietly in the corner...They both pulled out phones and gave each other...Phone numbers and Home Addresses...and smiled sheepishly at each other..
"I have a feeling, Jessica's life is going to be complete soon after all.."said Bee Bee..
"Me too Bee...I have that same feeling."said Sofia..

Sofia and Kahlil started out making love on the sofa in the living room..
for close to FIVE HOURS....then eventually moved to her bedroom..

The Most surprising hook up of the night was Jessica Lee and Eddie Lee.
After we all had left and gone home...He'd called her...She came back out and met him at an after hours spot in Chinatown...
He took her to another bar..
They had drinks and quiet conversation in a private booth..
A Citris Martini for him and
and a Mango Martini for him..
"Mmmmm this is soooo nice.."said Jessica.
"I'm glad you like it...and it's on the house...The owner of this establishment owes me money.."said Eddie Lee..
Jessica's eyebrows raised..
"I know your cousin Jade told you who and what I am...I'm many things...but I'm not dishonest..." said Eddie Lee.
"I know you have a Bachelors Degree from Temple , An MBA from Penn and a Degree from the Philadelphia School of Culinary Arts and you run a very successful restaurant...I know you have no sheet as of now..."said Jessica.
"And Jade told you that I run a Semi-Legal Crap Game on top of my restaurant, peopled by Russian and Asian Gangsters...That's true...They play cards for money...but that's it..No drug dealing,, no money laundering and most of the cops know about it...They don't bother me, because I keep the neighborhood quiet and safe.."said Eddie Lee.
"But you're a loan shark.." said Jessica..
"Now that's not true...Not exactly.....A lot of people think that...Which is why when they owe me money...They pay...I've never had to have anyone tightened up let's say for non-payment..My rep or rather my late Father's rep does it for me..People that owe me money, owe me from over extending themselves during the card games...I don't have what they say, "Juice" on the streets , regardless of what some uninformed people may think...That's the truth...I wouldn't lie to you."said Eddie Lee..
"You've never had anybody killed?" asked Jessica.
"Noooooooooooooooooooooooo and as a lawyer, If I did...You couldn't say.."laughed Eddie..
"I'm not your lawyer.."laughed Jessica as she finished her drink...
"No...But I want you to be..I want you to be so many things to me.."said Eddie Lee..
''Is that right?" laughed Jessica Lee.
"I want you to be everything....I don't usually believe in stuff like this..but...but I've never felt this way about anybody I just met...in my life." said Eddie Lee.
"Me Neither..." said Jessica...
They kissed passionately for the first time..
They wound up at her place...Kissing and making out passionately
and then something she never did before on the first date, Making crazy, passionate love for the next SIX TO SEVEN HOURS....
Meanwhile in Chinatown, a man lies beaten to death on the floor of a popular restaurant...The same restaurant they had been drinking in hours before..
Crime Scene Investigators and Forensic specialist surveyed the body as usual..
Dr. Hazel Baylor was in attendance.. She had called Lt. Danny Ho, but he had left for the day...She knew that her husband Duke and Angie and Sissy and Carlotta,Rico, Jimmy, Sirena and Hop were off tonight...Oh how she hated who she knew was coming to catch this case...It had been a month and it had been sooo peaceful, so relaxing, sooo smooth..
Two Police cars drove up, facing each other...Lights flashing..
Lt. Arthur Tragg-Homicide, back from being on the Marine Boat got out of one of the cars, Four Uniformed officers followed him..His hair was perfect as was his make up...He had on a brand new suit and his shoes were so shiny you could see yourself in them...He was ready for television..
"Alright ,what have we got here?" he asked.
Didn't he always say this as if he was on Law And Order or something, Hazel sighed..
"His name is Ben..Benny Hanna...He owns this place...He appears to have died from blunt force trauma.. He was beaten to death..We have no murder weapon as of yet.."said Hazel...
"Officer , put a team on this...I want every nook and cranny checked for a 15 block radius...Question all these cooleys, I mean good people around here...Somebody knows something...Somebody saw something.." he said..
He looked at the body...
"Damn, he got a good whack on the head didn't he?" he said.."Alright Hazel bag him and tag him , have a report on my desk as soon as possible.." he said.
He was put in a body bag and on a stretcher and moved out...
