It had been two weeks since Yvette had been sued by Sylvia Lively, an Attorney that formerly was employed by McCluskey/Cozen/Connor and Pratt

"You know...I consider it beneath even you to mock me, but then that's the side of you that no one ever sees...Good Luck Yvette, you're gonna need it...I've got killers too in my employ." said Sylvia.

Virginia snickered...

''Something funny ex-convict?   Yeah that's right...I know all about you...You can't practice law anymore and you won't even be present at the negotiations.." Sylvia snarled.

"Little Girl, I've forgotten more about the law than you appear to know."said Virginia.

"But I can definitely practice law and I WILL BE AT THE LITIGATIONS NEXT WEEK!" said Olivia.

"I Think it's sweet....Two old girlfriends helping each other out...She helped you when you got sued a few years ago and now you're helping her....Unfortunately...you're not going to be as successful as she was a few years ago...Have a nice afternoon ladies." said Sylvia as she walked away..

"Ouuuuu I just wanted to slap her face." said Yvette.

''Don't worry...She'll get that slap when we beat her in court next week." said Olivia,

as the three women picked up a few pieces to take home.

A DAY LATER- AT A SOUL FOOD RESTAURANT IN CHERRY HILL, NEW JERSEY...

 EMILY'S SOUL FOOD RESTAURANT-

"Tony thank you for suggesting this restaurant...It's beautiful."said Olivia.

"When I stopped working over here...They were breaking ground for it...And one of the Associate Attorneys at my old job is on it's board of directors..I thought it would be nice if we all came out here for dinner one Saturday Night." said Tony Billips.

 

"It's a great ..I'm surprised I hadn't heard of this." I said.

"Yes, I'm surprised too."joked Beverly, laughing...

"I love the ambience of this place.."said Nelson...

"Oh listen at him."laughed Josie.

"The place looks great and from the smell of things coming out of the kitchen...the food must be slamming."said Paris.

"Yes Husband, Good choice." said Bresha.

"I made reservations for us a few weeks in advance so that we could be seated together." said Tony.

"Good Move Tony..."said Alfreda.

 "Yes, excellent choice." said Rockland.

 "After the stress of having to research and prepare for this damn lawsuit , it's nice to have a nice night out like this at a new spot."said Yvette.

"It's going to come to an end babe... And you got great attorneys on the case...These four guys and Olivia, Bev, Nelson,Josie and Bree....I'd walk into any courtroom or litigation table with them.." said Gary.

"Wow, this place is nice.." said Keith Jones.

"Maybe we'll come here on a date date in the future ."said Bee Bee.

"That's a good idea.. After the trial."said Sofia.

''Wow! Not a bad idea... I really like this place." said Kahlil.

"I like this place.."said Jade.

"Yeah, me too!" said Danny.

"A Nice place....I'm surprised I hadn't heard of this."said Virginia.

"It hasn't been here that long...Tony said they were breaking ground for this place when he left Cherry Hill and came to work in our building."said Jetty.

''WOWW!  He must have made reservations for this crowd about three weeks ago." said Jazzy.
 

"Yeah, he did. He told me about the place." said Dabnis.

"Good move Tony...Good Move...This place is excellent."said Kayla.

"Great Dating site." said Ray.

"Yes it is....I know we are coming back here."said Jessica.

"Great place for a Date Date!"said her husband, Chip.

"I love this place..."said Karen..

"Yes it is nice."said B.L.

"I know Olivia and Bev and their people and Yvette and her team must feel a huge relief tonight..They've been working hard, both at Olivia's house and in Yvette's suite in our building."said Natalie.

"Yeah, I've seen them...They've been very focused.."said her husband, David.

"I'm hoping Yvette and Olivia win....They've come full circle.. Yvette defended Olivia aa few years ago and Olivia is defending Yvette now.." said Brooke.

"I remember that...."said her husband, Sean.

"This is a nice place to come for quiet private conversation."said Zoey...

"Yeah and there are a lot of hotels around here...We wouldn't have to go straight home."said Lem, smiling.

"Maybe we'll come back here on a week night after work."said Renee.

"Oh yeah, this would be nice."said Tyrell.

"You're bringing me back here."said Lee Phillips.

"Oh Most definitely..."said her boyfriend, Matthew Akes.

"Here comes the waitress with our orders.." said Nina.

"Yes.." said her husband, Carlos.

Hot Fried Chicken platters arrived for some of us...

Along with plates of sweet cornbread and butter..

and fried fish platters for the rest of the group..

The Food was delicious.

and cold refreshing Martinis...

To Top the night off...There was live entertainment...A Live Jazz band that performed while we ate.

It was a great night for us all.

II-

State Correctional Institution-PHOENIXVILLE,PA.. THAT SAME SATURDAY AFTERNOON-

DEATH ROW-

Death Row Prisoner James Smith, a three time convicted  murderer and former Judge was walked into the room where he was meeting with his attorney...

''Well do you have good news for me?" he asked.

"I do not.....I went to the fourth state appellate court and they turned down your appeal for clemancy. and they practically laughed me out of there when I tried to have your three murder convictions overturned...I did all I could." said Attorney H.Stanley Stanlison...."That is not your only problem...An Old Homicide Detective, turned P.I. named Robert Shylock has supposedly unearthed new evidence linking you to a 1971 murder....Hell you were 14, 15 years old...He's trying to get an indictment..."said H.Stanley Stanlison.

"And he'll keep trying....He has nothing...Nothing!"laughed James Smith.

"Jim, I thought I knew you....You have killed three people and there is an accusation of a fourth.....

What kind of person are you?" asked H.Stanley Stanlison, finally realizing just what type of sociopathic monster he was representing.

"Stan , we were in law school together...We started out as Judges in Common Pleas Court...You know me....."said James Smith,

"I don't think I do.....And I haven't been paid for my representation of you since your convictions...I don't think I should waste my time or yours coming back up here James."said H.Stanley Stanlison.

"Stanley, I'll pay you once I'm released and re-instated...Stanley, I don't want to die...I-I don't want to die." he said.

H.Stanley Stanlison looked at him....He was a pathetic monster...He knew he wasn't coming back here.

"Goodbye Jim..." he said and got up and walked out...

It was a beautiful moonlit night...

The Buses arrived on time and began transporting us across the bridge..

We had all boarded our buses after a delicious meal at Emily's in Cherry Hill and were headed back to Philadelphia. 

"This was a beautiful Saturday Night.. A nice way to begin our week."said Olivia.

 

"Yeah...because next week is going to be highly stressful for you...guys." I said.

Beverly and Nelson weren't thinking about next week...They were in each others arms, kissing passionately..

As was Josie and Paris..

and Tony and Bresha.

"Rockland, stop staring at me like a hungry wolf.." said Alfreda.  "I think these kids doing all of this kissing is turning you on." she added with a smile.

"She's not playing.....My question is...How is Sylvia paying for all of this..?  Those are top flight attorneys...They aren't cheap."said Yvette.

"She stands to gain over 10 million if she wins the suit...Perhaps she plans to pay them out of that."said Olivia.

"But how she pays her lawyers is not your worry.."said Danny...

"No it's not."said Olivia.

"All we are worried about is winning."said Yvette.

"And speaking of winning...Am I uh winning with you?" whispered Jetty into Virtginia's ears...

"OUUUUUUUUUUUU YOU'D BETTER STOP ITTT!" cooed Virginia.

On the second bus....

"There is famed attorney Wallace Payton....He has some familiarity with Both Olivia and her team and Yvette and her team..."

Famed Attorney and former Judge, H. Stanley Stanlison....He also has some familiarity with both teams...

"And last but not least , Tamera Perri , an old law school chum of mine and a high line attorney out of New York City...."said Michelle Aiken...

"This is the team I've put together to fight your case..."said Sylvia.

''Well...I've heard of Wallace Payton and who hasn't heard of H.Stanley Stanlison?....I'm honored to have you on the team."said Sylvia, who didn't acknowledge Tamara Perri at all.

Sitting with her was a very nervous McCluskey/Cozen/Connor & Pratt Senior Associate Attorney named Michael Zucker.. He kept looking around... He didn't want it to be known that he was even here..

He had taken money out of his trust fund to help Sylvia pay her present legal fees... With a promise to pay him back after the trial concluded and she had won her fee of 10 million dollars, which she hoped to pry from Yvette and the other partners..

No one knew he was here, just like no one at the firm knew that he was funneling information to her

about the partners movements and who they had now picked to represent them...

This was motivated by his enormous crush on her and a desire to date her...

Halfway across the city....At Josie's Bar and grille...Olivia and I, Yvette and all of us were enjoying Sunday's Super Brunch at Josie's Bar and Grille.

As expected, the food was incredible....

and the live band, a visiting band was very good.

Me, Olivia, Beverly, Nelson, Josie,Paris, Bresha, Tony, Alfreda, Yvette, Gary, Keith, Bee Bee, Sofia, Kahlil, Jade, Danny, Virginia and Jetty all found a long table and sat at it... 

"We are going to go right at them with facts, Sylvia's less than stellar performance record, lousing up those two big cases...We'll have the plaintiffs and the attorneys who protested her unprofessional behavior present and then we'll go into the cases she lost which might have been won, even though that is very subjective."explained Olivia as she put morsels of her food in her mouth..

 

I rubbed her shapely legs and slyly ran my hand up her skirt..

She looked at me and smiled.

"This woman is making this claim out of pure spite ,but a look at her work record should've told her to let this thing ride."said Beverly.

"And her lawyer, getting a bunch of heavyweights...Killers ,if you may is not going to help her."said Nelson.

"Some of them ,I want a chance to go up against again, Wallace Payton, H.Stanley Stanlison..."said Josie.

"Oh wow!  Them?" said Paris.

"Yeah , we've tangled with them before., but never directly...I'm looking forward to this."said Bresha.

''Wow...I wish I could be a fly on the wall."laughed Tony.

"Me too!  You should record it."said Alfreda.

"They can't do that."laughed Rockland..

 "I'm glad we are coming with receipts."said Yvette.

Gary fed her morsels of food..

She smiled at him....

Keith Jones put his arms around his wife, Bee Bee.

"This woman is making this claim out of pure spite and stupidity ,take a look at her work record and common sense should've told her to let this thing ride."said Bee Bee.

"Can you imagine if that had been the four of us at the beginning of our careers at the firm."said Sofia.

"We'd of been canned...We'd of never of made Senior Associate...And yet she did, despite losing practically every case she tried or represented.."said Kahlil..

''And having the clients complain bitterly about her attitude and performance."said Jade.

''Wow! It's a wonder she still had a job as long as she did."laughed Danny.

"Ahem, Lieutenant Tragg."laughed Virginia.

"Touche!"laughed Danny.

"That was a low blow."laughed Jetty...

At the tables behind us were the rest of our group, Jazzy, Dabnis, Kayla, Ray, Jessica, Chip, Karen, B.L., ,Natalie and David ,Brooke and Sean, Zoey and Lem, Renee, Tyrell, Lee, Matthew, Nina and Carlos ...
