ADA Wilbur Patch who had tried the case of Alex Williams against an inexperienced Public Defender found he'd be trying the case again and against more experienced attorneys from the Wrongful Conviction.Conviction Integrity Unit of his own D.A.'s office.

Lt. Chris Curtis was standing, looking over his shoulder..

"They are yours...They are from the D.A.'s Office...Can't you get them to cease and desist?" he bellowed.

"NO I CAN NOT! Gil Garcetti gives them a free hand in their case work, free from the rest of the D.A.'s Office interference.." said Wilbur Patch who was equally upset about having to retry this case and facing us in court..

"I'll be damned.." said Chris Curtis.

"There was a lot of information and evidence that wound up missing...Pray that they don't know about it or get their hands on it." said Wilbur Patch..

"What are you going to do?" asked Lt. Curtis.

"The Real Question is WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? Me? I'm going to go home and celebrate Thanksgiving with my family....I'll see you Monday...Happy Thanksgiving." said Wilbur Patch as he left the office...

Lt. Curtis stood there in silence...For the first time...He felt a bit of fear.

THANKSGIVING DAY-

Kayla hosted Thanksgiving Dinner as she usually did...On the top floor of her and Ray's house-

We were off...but we decided to visit our client and bring him some Thanksgiving Cheer..

Kayla had lots of food left over , so we decided to take some food to Alex at the men's detention center..
