Marriage and An Old Murder

CURLEY'S BAR-THURSDAY- COUPLES NIGHT!

Natalie and I were kissing passionately...We hadn't stopped since we'd sat down...

"Ummmmmmmm David....that's enough baby! save some of this for tonight when we get home.."cooed Natalie, who was sitting on my lap.

"Okay....I hope Boss Lady arrives soon, before I eat you up..."I chuckled...

Across from us...Brooke and Sean were also steaming up the windows...Kissing...

"Ouuuuuuuuuu we keep this up and we aren't going to make it home." Brooke cooed.

"I'm ready to lift you up and take you to the bathroom right now." moaned Sean...

William "Bull" Bailey, former Homicide Detective, Former Federal Investigator, now Prison check in guard sat a few tables away from the four of us, fuming.....He couldn't stand this public display of affection, especially between Brooke and her Black husband...It was all he could do to get up and toss a cold glass of water on the two of them...He had carried a torch for Brooke for years....She had never given him the time of day...Now he was disgraced and out of his lofty job, largely because of the lawyers she was socializing and sitting with and had married a Black man...He was livid..literally shaking in his seat with anger...

Tyrell and Renee Jones, Newlyweds were also sucking face...

"Damnnnnn girl, your lips are sooo damn soft..." said Tyrell...

"UMMMMMM SO ARE YOURS! Save that energy for tonight in bed, at home..." moaned Renee...

ADA Bruce Green sat a few tables from them, fuming....He still carried a torch for Renee and couldn't believe she had married, Bailiff turned Attorney, Tyrell Jones, who he hated with a passion.He was livid..literally shaking in his seat with anger watching Renee kiss this man....Her sweet voluptuous lips should be on his lips....His arms should be around that sexy body of hers....He was so angry, he could barely finish his drink...

Most of us had worked a half day today.... Ms. Yvette, Ms. Virginia, Ms. Olivia and Ms. Alfreda had come here earlier and had gotten Curley to give us a section of our own...and have it roped off..

 

 "Karen has an announcement to make tonight..." said Yvette, smiling

"I think I know what it is.." said Gary slyly...

"Maybe her and B.L. have decided to tie the knot." said Keith Jones.

"Or Maybe she's pregnant!" said Bee Bee.

"Maybe Both!" said Sofia.

"Anybody want to take a wager.?" asked Kahlil..

Jade laughed. "No because I know what it is." she said.

"And you're going to keep us in suspense.right?" said her husband, Danny...

"That's right...Let her tell it." said Virginia, who also knew.

"The way you're smiling I'm sure I know." said her husband, Jetty...

There was plenty to drink around us all. 

Two Cold Cut Rays arrived along with condiments, hard rolls and mayo and mustard for sandwiches...

"I'm glad all of the sandwiches are here and hot cocoa...Go ahead everybody...dig in.."said Olivia.

 

"Yeah don't be shy." joked Donnie Ray...

"Nobody here is shy.."laughed Olivia's niece, Beverly...

"I know I'm Not." said Nelson , who made himself a few sandwiches...and scooped some Pasta Salad and Cole Slaw on to a plate.

Josie laughed.. "You're not shy and neither is my husband.."she laughed.

"Me neither." said her husband, Paris, who made them both plates...

"This is nice...Considering we haven't been here in three weeks..."said Bresha.

"I just hope we can enjoy it."said her husband Tony,making himself a sandwich and scooping up Cole slaw and Pasta on his plate....

Alfreda smiled as she made plates for herself and her husband, Rockland..

Rockland smiled...He felt warm , having a wife and friends...and being a part of this group.

Olivia and Alfreda's caterers brought in 2 more  sandwich trays...with the finest meats and cheeses and condiments...Mayo, Mustard and Hard Rolls for sandwiches and Hot Chocolate....as well as Pasta Salad and Cole Slaw.

More drinks arrived..

 

"Olivia and Beverly and Ms. Alfreda really know how to set out a nice affair.." said Jazzy...
 

"Don't they now.? That's why I'm proud to be their neighbors."laughed Dabnis, who was munching on a sandwich and devouring the cole slaw..

''Awwwwww that's so nice."said Kaya, Olivia and Beverly's cousin.

"You damn Bennett Women, you keep things poppin." said her husband, Ray.

Jessica laughed..."I'm an unofficial Bennett woman." she joked.

"Nahhh you're one of Vettie's girls.."laughed her husband, Chip.

"I'm both."laughed Jessica as she helped herself to Pasta and made sandwiches for her and her husband..

 "Boss Lady  has an announcement to make tonight....I hope it's not that she's leaving..." said  Natalie..

"Nah, she would have told us that first...don't you think?" I said.

"Yeah she would have...She loves her job and she loves us..."said Brooke, who was also worried that that was what it was also. 

"Nah, she loves this job...It's not that." said Sean as he made another sandwich...

"Well you'll know in a few minutes...She and B.L. just walked in.."said Zoey...

Lem was munching on a sandwich and gulping down a Hot Chocolate...

"Oh Look, the Champaigne arrived." said Renee'.

"WOWWWWW!" said her husband, Tyrell.

Several Bottles of the finest Champaigne arrived along with glasses for everyone..

Curley, the bar's owner was as happy as a clam tonight...He was making money off of us..All of the drinks we ordered, plus his top shelf champaigne...

Karen and B.L. walked in together....B.L.'s face was as red as a beet...

Their arrival was met by a standing ovation and cheers from all of us..

Lt. Tragg was ironically enough , arriving right behind them..He didn't know what all the hullabaloo was, but he saw all of us...In here for the first time in about a month...He saw all of the food and the  Hot Chocolate as well as all of the drinks and the champaigne..

"WELLLL LOOK AT THIS!!! ALL YOU HIGH FALLUTIN LAWYER TYPES!! IS THIS FOOD COURTESY OF THE CITY???? I CERTAINLY HOPE NOT AND I SINCERELY HOPE YOU ALL AREN'T GOING TO BE DRIVIN PRIVATELY OWNED VEHICLES TONIGHT WITH ALL THE DRINKING I SEE YOU'RE DOING!" he bellowed....

"Artie, give it a rest huh?" said B.L.

"Hello Everybody.....I'm sorry I couldn't tell you before....B.L. and I got married this afternoon at a small ceremony at the courthouse in Bayside..

"I am Mrs. Brian Lazurus Benz...I is a married lady now.." she said and showed her wedding bands..

The announcement was met with loud clapping and cheering...Not just by our group, but other patrons within earshot...

Their marriage made it complete....Everybody in our group was now married...

Lt. Tragg , who had carried a torch for Karen for years slumped down in a chair...He looked like he wanted to faint...For him, it was as if the sun had suddenly fallen out of the sky or in this case, the moon!

II-

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US? WE'RE YOUR GIRLS?" laughed Natalie , hugging Karen...

"I KNOW! WE DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE!" laughed Brooke , hugging her also....

"I HAVE TO GIVE YOU SOME SURPRISES TO KEEP YOU ON YOUR TOES!" laughed Karen...

"You didn't get married because uh YOU HAD TO, DID YOU?" joked Yvette...

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU NOOOOOOOOOOOOO VETTIE!"laughed Karen....."What am I, 17?" she laughed...and hugged her good friend...

"The Second time is the best..."said Olivia...hugging Karen ..(This was Karen's second marriage.. Her first husband, a Black man had been murdered.)

"Oh Olivia, Dear Olivia, I hope so.." said Karen ,hugging Olivia the longest... Olivia and Yvette had been her closest friends since they were in law school together..They had lived across the hall from her in the dorms and later on in an apartment bulding...The three women had formed a bond over the years...They were like sisters.

One by one, everybody congratulated them... 

"CONGRATULATIONS LADY!" said Jazzy, her first friend when she moved into the building..
 

"CONGRATULATIONS KAREN, B.L." said Dabnis..

"Thank you." said B.L.

"CONGRATULATIONS LADY!" said Kayla.

"CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!" said Ray...

"CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!" said Jessica.

"CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!" said  Chip.

"THANK YOUUU!" said Karen..

"THANK YOUUU!" said B.L.

"Come on , sit down here...Have some food." said Natalie.

"Have some Champaigne." said David.

"Yes.."said Brooke..

Brooke was sitting on Sean's lap ...She leaned her head into his shoulders...She was a little tipsy...

They kissed every other second...

"Yeah ,there is still plenty of food. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" said Sean, moaning.. 

"CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!" said Zoey...

"CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!" said Lem.....

"CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!" said Renee..."This is sooo sweet." she said.

Renee leaned over and gave her husband, a wet sloppy kiss..

"I feel soooooooo romantic Rell Rell." she whispered in his ear...

An imprint of her lipstick was on his lapel.

"Lawdddddd! I'm gonna get some tonight." whispered Tyrell to Nelson...

"Oh no doubt.....You and me both!." whispered Nelson to him as they both giggled. 

 "I'm so happy for Karen." said Olivia.

"I knew B.L. was going to get around to this eventually."said Donnie Ray, smiling...

"It took him long enough, but he got around to it." said Beverly, who was sitting on Nelson's lap with her arms around his neck.. She felt his hand on her butt.....

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she cooed...

Nelson slyly slid his hand up Beverly's dress...

She looked at him and smiled sheepishly..

Josie was also sitting in her husband's lap...

Paris had a wide grin on his face...

Bresha was sitting in her husband's lap....

Tony held her softly and hugged her...

Alfreda and Rockland were sipping champaigne and looking at each other and smiling sheepishly.

"You horny toad....I know what you're thinking." she whispered..

Rockland looked  at Alfreda and smiled serenely...

"Yes indeed..." he said..

Soon they were kissing like two horny teenagers...

 

 "I'm so happy for Karen." said Yvette.

"I think B.L. is relieved...He wanted to take Karen off the market." said Gary.

Bee Bee sat on Keith's lap.....She leaned her head into his shoulders...She was a little tipsy...

Sofia sat on Kahlil's lap...She leaned her head into his shoulders...She was a little tipsy too! 

"Ms. Yvette and Olivia chipped in and bought a hotel room for them tonight.."said Jade.

''So they knew ahead of time?" said Danny Ho.

"Of course they knew...She ,Karen is their closest friend."laughed Virginia, who along with Jade and Alfreda also knew in advance before everyone else..

"It Makes Sense They would know.. Those three have been close friends since law school." said Jetty.

Bull Bailey was so upset seeing Brooke hugged up with Sean ,that he paid his bill and quietly left....

THREE HOURS OF WATCHING THEM ALL EAT, DRINK AND MAKE OUT WAS ALL HE COULD TAKE!

ADA Bruce Green felt the same way....He paid his bill and quietly left....He couldn't bare seeing Renee on Tyrell's lap with her arms around him...kissing him...He stomped his foot angrilly and stormed out..Neither Renee nor Tyrell was aware of his presence...

But not Lt. Tragg , He had to put on a performance..

"LOOK AT THIS...ALL YOU HIGH FALLUTIN LAWYER TYPES, EATING AND DRINKING OFF THE PUBLIC DIME!!!" he bellowed..

"GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL....OUR CATERER PROVIDED THE FOOD, ALL OF IT...AND WE ALL PAID FOR THE DRINKS OUT OF OUR OWN POCKETS....THE CITY DIDN'T PAY FOR ANY OF THIS...WE AREN'T EATING AND DRINKING OFF OF THE PUBLIC DIME. AND YOU KNOW THIS!!"said an angry Beverly....

"Come on Honey Bun...Chill!"said her husband, Nelson..

"BEV DON'T GET YOURSELF UPSET OVER HIM...HE KNOWS WE PAID FOR ALL OF THIS..HE DOESN'T CARE , HE JUST WANTS TO TRIGGER US GET US ALL UPSET...AND EVEN IF IT WAS ON THE PUBLIC DIME..WHAT'S IT TO HIM? HE'S JUST A MISERABLE PETTY MAN!" said Natalie, calming her good friend down....

''Don't let him get to you like that Nat, I'm here...come on.." chided David ,staring angrilly at Lt. Tragg.

"Beverly, Natalie, Chill ,Don't argue with him...That's what he wants todo... trigger us...To get a rise out of us..."pleaded Kayla.

"Bev, Nat...She's right... He aint jumpin up in nobody's face tonight...."said Ray, who had thrashed Lt. Tragg once before..

"Yeah come on...We are having a good time." said Jazzy....

"He sure aint!" said Dabnis...

"Girls, Girls, Don't let him ruin our night...We've been having a good time..."said Jade, who feared a small riot might ensue...

We had all been drinking a lot...and tempers could easily flare out of control...

"Ignore him everybody...The rest of us are. Just go back to your tables." said Olivia., determined not to let Lt. Tragg spoil what had been a great evening.. The young people listened...They all returned to their tables...

We all continued eating and drinking and talking as if he wasn't there.. 

"Olivia just saved you from a serious beatdown....Why do you insist on always being obnoxious.?" said an angry Danny Ho...

 "Remember , you're talking to a superior officer..."snarled Lt. Tragg.

He stood there staring balefully at us...He was being totally ignored now.

"THAT'S RIGHT MUZZLE THEM LIV.....THEY NEED TO SHOW SOME RESPECT FOR MY AUTHORITY!" he said...

Everyone broke into loud raucous laughter at that..... Thin skinned Lt. Tragg was taken aback....He didn't like being the lightning rod for laughter...The Butt of the joke.Everybody was laughing at him...Which made him angrier and more unhinged...

"Artie...Leave em alone, they aren't bothering you or anybody...Leave em alone or I'm going to have to ask you to leave...I mean it! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT...NOW WALK AWAY!" said Curley.

Lt. Tragg stomped his foot and  reluctantly walked over to the bar...

"And another thing Artie, you aren't following any of my customers out of here  to give them a ticket...Got it?  You're off duty anyway."said Curley...

A Contrite Lt. Tragg walked over to the bar and ordered several beers..He didn't bother us the rest of the night..He just drank, upset that Karen and B.L. had gotten married.

He got sloppy drunk, hiding the fact that he was broken hearted about Karen and B.L. getting married..

at 2:00 AM, We piled into our buses and were followed by the catering van...There was only a little bit of food left...We all took some leftovers.

Karen and B.L. left a little before the rest of us.

They drove their rental car to their hotel on their wedding night.

Such a beautiful night... For everybody except Lt. Tragg...

A drunken Lt. Tragg stood outside, watching as we all drove off..

III-

It was an unseasonably warm fall night ....

Olivia and Yvette had chipped in and purchased a room in a hotel,not far from the Bridge Building where Karen worked.. for her and B.L.

In their Honeymoon Suite-

"Hello Mr. Benz..." said Karen...

"Hello Mrs. Benz." said B.L. looking Karen up and down...

"MMMMMMMMMMMM....OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.... OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Karen moaned in between kisses.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH......OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GODDDDDDD!" B.L. cried out..

"TAKE YOUR CLOTHES OFF B.L!" she cooed..

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW !" he moaned as the kissing got hotter..

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ...Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"she moaned as he slipped her dress over her head...

"Call me HUSBAND, Baby, Heh heh heh!" he laughed..

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMM   HUSBAND!!!!" she whispered.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU WIFE!" he moaned..

Karen giggled....

His eyes bulged as he ogled her black baby doll and matching thong.....

.She gave these to me last week as a wedding gift." said  Karen.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY! WELL I'M READY TO GET DOWN TO SOME BUSINESS!"  said B.L..

"MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY GODDD B.L., THIS MAKES NO SENSE...YOU BEING THIS EXCITED...YOU ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS OVER ME?" she asked.

" YESSSSSSSSSSSSS...I SHOULD HAVE MARRIED YOU SOONER" he said..laughing.

"I TOLD YOU!" she laughed.....

They stood in the middle of the floor kissing passionately....

"MMMMMMMMMMMM....OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU....YOU'RE SO BIG AND SO HARDDDD! OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Karen moaned..

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LAWWWWD!" B.L. moaned..

They wasted no time consumating their marriage.....

They made sweet love for the next NINE TO TEN HOURS!!  and then some.....

"AWWWWWWWWWW I'M ABOUT TO BLOW MY LOAD!" B.L. moaned..

"MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM NOT YET BABY...NOT YET, HOLD ON..." cooed Karen...

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW :LAWWWD!" cried B.L. ,cumming so hard he thought he was dying..

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I LOVE YOUUUUUU!" cried Karen, having an intense orgasm....

They both lie on the bedroom floor, laughing....

Karen straddled him and began riding him again after a few minutes..

"SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?? YOU COULD GET THIS EVERYDAY NOW!" Karen  cooed.

They were the last couple in our group to get married and now it was official...We were a clique of married couples..

IV-

MONDAY- 

Work goes on...We were back in our office...

"Boss Lady and B.L. are in Cancun for their honeymoon....They'll be back in two weeks." gushed Brooke.

''Awwwww that's so nice." gushed Natalie.

Everybody was off Friday.. We all spent the day resting, relaxing around our homes, making love...Nobody I know even went out Friday night....

We all met up Saturday...We all Had  Brunch at the NO ID BAR on Saturday Morning..

and then returned home...Some of us did some shopping, the rest of us relaxed and or napped in our homes until the afternoon...

We then boarded the buses and headed out to Cherry Hill.

Saturday Night , We had all had a nice dinner at a Sea Food Restaurant in Cherry Hill....

And Sunday Morning, We went to Super Brunch at Josie's....

and enjoyed the sounds of a live band while we ate, talked and enjoyed our food.

Monday Morning found us all at work....and our office, minus one person.

"Coffee's everyone!" I said.

I walked in with coffee's...

"Ouuuuu thank you." said Brooke...

"Ummmmmmmmmmmm thank you husband.." said Natalie, kissing me slowly and softly...

"Ummmmmmmmmmmm you're welcome." I said....

"Natalie!" came a voice... It was former ADA Rick Madewell...Natalie's old boyfriend..

"Rick , what are you doing here?" asked Natalie...

"Well first I want to say Congratulations on your wedding...I know I'm a year late." he said and shook my hand..

"Congratulations...You've got a great girl." he said.

"Thank you, I know.." I said.

"I'm here at Wrongful Conviction/Conviction Integrity because I need your help....I've got a case that's right up your alley. It's a murder...an old double murder case....and it's right up this group's alley." he said.

"We've heard that before." laughed Brooke.
