"We've got to get you a hair appointment this week and go pick up our dresses..you'll be busy." said Bresha ,remembering her own wedding and the week before.

Her husband Tony sighed... "I feel for the brotha...It's hell the week before.." he said.

"You guys act as if you're deprived of sex for one week your world is about to cave in...He'll be fine, just like all of you guys were...It's just a week...."said Alfreda.

"I'm pleading the fifth on that one."laughed Rockland..

Meanwhile three blocks away... Tyrell got a phone call.

"Hello!" he said. He was hoping it was Renee... You weren't allowed to see the bride...No one said you couldn't talk to her... (Beverly had told him that she talked to Nelson once) , during the week before they got married.  It wasn't Renee though.

So I heard you're getting married..eh?   Wow....This is a big year for you....Passed the Bar, you're a big time lawyer now... I saw you on TV a few weeks ago...Niccccceeeeee...One of us...a former Bailiff, makes good... So listen, me and the guys have planned a bachelor party for you...Tomorrow night at McGinley's Rooftop Bar...9:00 PM...Be there or be square buddy.." he said.

"Awww Damn Buddy, thanks..." said Tyrell.   Ben was one of his fellow Bailiffs...They hadn't been particularly close, but this was a nice gesture...And he was no snob...Lawyer or not...He was going to party with his old friends..

"It's all set...He'll be there....So are we square?" asked Ben.

''We 're square...He'll be there....and so will I..Heh Heh Heh.."laughed Bruce Greene...

The next night...Tyrell joined his old Bailiff friends at his bachelor party at the rooftop bar...

They partied and danced to the sounds of five slick d.J.'s 

and maybe Tyrell had one too many drinks.

One or maybe two of those drinks had a powerful drug in it that put him to sleep... he was dragged to an empty room on the side of the Restaurant/Bar.

Sometime later the police were called, several drunken party goers were taken out of the party...

In a separate office, Attorney Tyrell Jones  was found unconscious...with no pants on , no socks, no shoes...

They told Tyrell to get dressed.... He did and promptly left... He had no idea what had happened..

By the time he got home the next day...

There was an Envelope addressed to Renee Cantrell...with no return address... It looked suspicious..

Gary Lockwood, Yvette's husband, laughed...

"You can burn those photos youngin...Renee is never going to see them... Donnie Ray and I got to the bottom of it...It wasn't hard..."said Gary..

"Your friend Ben was running an illegal, floating crap game.. apparently several other Bailiffs were involved..

"Bunco squad busted them...Assistant District Attorney was not only going to prosecute them , but they would all lose their jobs and do some time in county...

The charges were mysteriously dropped...and we were guessing because he called you and invited you to that bachelor party in which you were set up...." said Donnie Ray.

"That pretty lady in the photo was awaiting sentencing on a solicitation charge..her third...Another one of ADA Bruce Greene's cases...Charges on her were mysteriously dropped.. I suppose, if she did this favor for him.."said Gary.

"Your "friend" Ben had the negatives....He told us the whole story, once we cornered him..He gave us the negatives...He said he hates Bruce Greene, but that Bruce had him over a barrell..He said to tell you he was sorry." said Donnie Ray..

''What do we do about Bruce Greene?" asked a very angry Tyrell.

"Nothing...Just Get Married..That'll be revenge enough... He thinks Renee has seen those photos and thrown you out...Won't he be surprised?" said Donnie Ray.

"If I know right...He'll call Renee to try and "comfort her..." We've already told Renee about what he tried to do to you and what to expect...She said she didn't need to see the photos, so go on and burn them...She's fine...She can't wait to marry you....but she did tell us one thing though." said Gary...

''What was that?" asked Tyrell.

''She said to stay in the house...No More parties." said Donnie Ray...

All three men cracked up laughing.

TWO DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING- THE BRIDGE BUILDING.

THE CAFETERIA- 

Tyrell was doing his best to hold out during this week without Renee.. He kept himself busy around the house...He cleaned everything from pillar to post, did his and Renee's laundry at the local laundromat, and got all of their clothes out of the dry cleaners...  Then he took a train ride to the Bridge Building, their new place of employment and had lunch with his friends.

"I'm sure glad to see you guys.."said Tyrell.

"It's only been a few days Tyrell...Sorry about the dirty trick Bruce Greene played on you."said Jazzy..
 

"It's straight out of the Lt. Tragg playbook...The same thing happened to me right before Jazzy and I got married...Mine was worse...I was set up with Heroin and a mysterious death... I couldn't prove it...but I always thought Lt. Tragg masterminded it.." said Dabnis.

"He and Bruce Greene are friends, or at least they talk...Think he may have given him the idea?" said Kayla.

"Oh I'm sure of it...He didn't know that Renee is staying at Olivia's or count on you opening her mail."laughed Ray...

"Not to mention him falling on the floor and kicking his heels up in Curleys when he saw Tyrell kissing Renee." said Sean.

 "He can't stop the inevitable... You two will be wed in just two days...."said Ms. Yvette.

"That's right..48 Hours...and she'll be yours man.."said Keith Jones.

"You took a chance coming down here... Renee might have come down here too!"said Bee Bee.

"Nah, she's got a hair appointment, final dress fittings...mani-pedi...etc. Liv ,Bev, Josie and Bree are keeping her busy." said Sofia.

"YOU WHAT?  I-I-I MEAN YOU ARE??? After what your fiance was doing at that Bachelor Party??

I'm just saying?" said Bruce Greene.

"What are you talking about Bruce? what Bachelor Party...If he did go to one, He certainly wouldn't invite you...He doesn't particularly like you....So what Bachelor Party are you talking about??" asked Renee...turning her head away from her phone and snickering...

"Uh ...Oh Nothing...I-I-I thought we might talk before uh you did this." he said.

"Talk about what?   Listen I've got to go, My Hair appointment...Thank you for inquiring about me...I'm just fine...Byeeeeeeeee!" said Renee, hanging up...and busting out laughing...She had had her phone on speaker, so Olivia and her staff had heard the entire thing.

"That proves he set the whole thing up...He came very close to exposing himself." said Olivia.

 

"Oh I think he did expose himself....He's going to think that Renee never saw the photos...That Tyrell intercepted them and he's going to go for the negatives and attempt to send them again.." said Donnie Ray.

"Only there are no negatives....You guys burned them right?" said Beverly..

"Yeah and we spoke to Ben's supervisor.. Ben has taken a few days off and a trip to Virginia Beach to see some relatives..."laughed Nelson..

"He's got nothing!"said Josie.

"God!! He's a pest, an Obsessive man who can't take no for an answer." said Bresha.

"I hate guys like him...He's worse than a woman."said Alfreda,

And in the OFFICE OF ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY BRUCE GREENE-

An Angry Bruce Greene went to Benjamin's house... He wasn't home.... He now sat in his office, waiting for a report from Private Investigator, Bert Vandenberg.

"Did you get the negatives?   I knew I should have gotten the negatives from him." snarled Bruce Greene.

He met with Bert Vandenberg...

"He's in Virginia Beach....My Operatives tossed his apartment.. There were no negatives.. One of my operatives contacted him in Virginia Beach...He said he burned the negatives and that he wanted no part of any scheme you had or you period..... Just what were you up to Bruce? Still messing with that girl?  Did it ever occur to you that maybe...just maybe SHE DOESN'T LIKE YOU?  She's getting married in two days...Why don't you leave her alone?" said Bert Vandenberg, who got up and walked out of his office. Disgusted with Bruce Greene.

Once he was alone... Bruce Greene fell to the floor and kicked his heels up in the air like a petulant child who couldn't get his way....

He was livid!

NIGHTFALL-

Tyrell sat alone in his house..

Tyrell sat alone, staring out the window at the moonlit sky......

His phone rang....It was Renee! He hadn't seen or heard from her all week...

''Hi Baby...it's me"she said.

"Heyyyyyy girl, I'm sure glad to hear from you...I've been missing you like crazy." said Tyrell.

"I've been missing you too!  Just a few more hours babe...Just a few more hours..." said Renee.

"What color panties are you wearing?" asked Tyrell..

ADA Bruce Greene was sitting in Curley's It was 1:35 AM... He had called Renee several times and she had not answered... He had figured that she wasn't staying with Tyrell because of that stupid tradition of the groom not seeing the bride for a week.. He reasoned that when his photos arrived...Tyrell had intercepted them and destroyed them...and now because he failed to get the negatives from that stupid baillif, Benjamin ,he couldn't send them again...His Best Laid plan to exact revenge on Tyrell had failed.

He drunkenly sent Renee a text ,just as she was getting off of the phone with Tyrell.

"What color panties are you wearing?"

She sent him a text back!

"You'll never know....Are you drunk? Don't text me or call me again!" she texted back and then turned her phone off and put it on the charger.

Bruce Greene downed eight beers....

That made 16 in total....He was sloshed....

Lt. Tragg sat across the bar watching him....

"The poor guy is really going through it...I think I'd better take him home... He's in no mood to drive."said Lt. Tragg.

"Yeah Artie.....Take him home." said Curley.
