"Doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would commit a murder and such a sloppy one like this." she thought.

Lt. Tragg walked into her office...The door was slanted..not closed, so he didn't bother to knock.

"I'm Arthur Tragg....Lieutenant Arthur Tragg....I'm the arresting officer, er uh detective..We'll be working this case together.Heh heh heh." he said.

"I'm Assistant District Attorney Thelma Bell...Pleased to meet you Lieutenant...  This case you've presented me is weak..... You have an Assistant U.S. Attorney, without a blemish on his record luring a man, a man he claims is an informant to a warehouse and killing him and then sticking around for you to come and arrest him... It doesn't make any sense....." she said.

"The murder weapon...a gun we have in evidence...is an unresgistered street gun...His fingerprints and DNA are all over it...It was in his hands when  the Police and Medical Examiners got there..There was no evidence of anyone else on the scene..."said Lt, Tragg...

"He was unconscious.. The M.E. said that he was treated for a head wound...She sent me a photo..Dr. Hazel Baylor.. Someone else must have been there... How did you even know he and the deadman were there?? An empty warehouse out in the middle of nowhere... No one heard the gunshot...They both could have been out there for days....Lieutenant.....If I'm saying this...Olivia Bennett-Alexander and her niece and the attorneys that work for them are going to be saying the same thing.. What is the motive?"asked Thelma Bell.

Lt. Tragg put some glossies on the desk...

"The oldest motive known to man.. BLACKMAIL.

Her name is Millicent Caldwell...She's a high powered attorney from New York City....according to these photos ...she and Todd Dellums got pretty cozy a few months back... She had a baby recently...Todd Dellums love child..

He's currently involved with this woman, Assistant District Attorney , Vanessa Stevens...If she got wind of his dalliances with Millicent Caldwell and the child.. Well, she'd drop him like a bad habit.. He's already lost another girlfriend because of his dalliances.. He wasn't about to lose another one.."said Lt. Tragg..

"And these photos were found in the dead man's apartment.huh?" she asked.

"That's right?" said Lt. Tragg.

"You check his bank account? You check Todd Dellums bank account?? Any proof of any money transferred between the two?" asked Thelma Bell..

"Uh er ruh no I didn't.." said Lt. Tragg...He didn't like where this was going.

''Check those bank accounts and check any phone correspondence between the two and recanvass that crime scene." said Thelma Bell.

He stood there with a blank expression on his face...

"If I'm asking these questions, Olivia and Beverly will be asking them too....Her Husband is a very good investigator....Former Homicide Detective....You don't want him getting a one up on you... I'll talk to you later..." she said and got up... She was heading out to a meeting.

He stood there with a blank look on his face... Olivia and Beverly, Olivia and Beverly...How long had  those two been thorns in his side? He began to remember his history with them...It went back a few years

 

 II-

COURTROOM B- SEVERAL YEARS AGO...

Judge Jerry "Hangman" Hawkins was presiding...He had the record at the time of having sentenced more men to death row than any Judge in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania..

The Assistant District Attorney , Mike Purvis had never lost a case yet...Especially a capital case..but he had never faced a Public Defender quite like her..

Olivia Barnes then...She was married..

Her young protoge. Neice, Beverly West..

and protoge' Nelson East...

They were defending a young Puerto Rican, Luis Obispo....A two time loser, accused of murdering an off duty cop. This particular cop had arrested  him twice on drug charges and allegedly beaten him up pretty bad...The two had a dislike for each other, but other than that ...there was little to no real evidence against him..Not a bit of forensic or fingerprint evidence and no eyewitness....

The dead officer had had 31 police brutality complaints filed against him by Black and Puerto Rican residents in the area and 2 whites... He had just come off desk duty and was sleeping on duty in his squad car when someone walked by a little after midnight and shot him in the head one time, killing him..

Could have been anybody!  Detectives Dominick Evans and Arthur Tragg kicked his door in and rousted him hours later....He was unarmed....He was on parole at the time and couldn't have a weapon.

The murder weapon has never been found!!!!!

The two arresting detectives, Detective Dominick Evans and Detective Arthur Tragg  had allegedly planted evidence on him...(They planted a throwdown gun in Obispo's  girlfriend's apartment, which matched the caliber, but failed a ballistics test) In addition, they strong armed several witnesses into testifying against him...

This woman, Olivia Barnes and her niece, Beverly and her other little protoge, Nelson discovered all of this and had all of the so called witnesses admit that they had lied , that they had been threatened and strong armed into testifying against the defendent.

They also were very adept at the law and cited predicates, old cases that related to this one and current laws...

Most Public Defenders went for a plea, they rarely took a case to court.....They were usually bogged down with cases.... These three almost always went to court and almost always won...A lot of defendents asked for them...They actually cared...They actually tried to win a case.

Detectives Tragg and Evans hated this....

They frustrated the ADA to no end and made him look like a first year law graduate...He was frustrated...They were prepared, very prepared.. Olivia and Beverly were both graduates of PENN LAW SCHOOL...He wondered why two IVY League educated Attorneys weren't working in the private sector in Corporate law or something...Why were they working "Beneath themselves " in the Public Defenders office?

Judge "Hangman" Hawkins was also frustrated too... He wanted to help the prosecution, but he found he couldn't..

Olivia Barnes was simply the smartest Public Defender he had ever seen...She didn't settle, she didn't take plea agreements...She went to court...and out of 200 cases...She'd lost only 4 .....She was cut throat...A Killer.

Her little niece ,Beverly was following in her footsteps, winning a series of cases by herself..she was just as cut-throat ,if not more so than her auntie...

As was Olivia's other  protoge' Nelson East ..He was going to court and making a name for himself..(He was excellent at reading and selecting  jurors.) 

When the three of them worked together... They were undefeated...

"Has the Jury come to a decision?" he asked, exasperated...

''We have your honor." said the foreman...

"Pass it to the bailiff." he said.

He read the verdict...He couldn't hide the disapointment on his face..

"READ IT!! " he said.

"In The Matter of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vs. Luis Obispo , We the jury find the defendent  NOT GUILTY!"

ADA Mike Purvis was livid!! His first loss and to Public Defenders...He glared at Detectives Evans and Tragg!!

"You two lunkheads.. You brought me this loser case!!...I told you to recanvass...I told you to bring me credible witnesses...OUUUUUUUUUUUU BOTH OF YOU , GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!" he yelled.

Detective Arthur Tragg and Detective Dominick Evans both slinked out of the courtroom embarrassed and frustrated...They had blown what everybody thought was an open and shut case..

COURTROOM C- TWO YEARS LATER...

Another Judge... Anthony Pompei,  The end of another trial..Another murder trial..

A Beautiful Brunette Assistant District Attorney, Elaine Young.

Now Sgt. Arthur Tragg, spending the trial, rubbing her legs and trying to run his hands up her skirt and having his hands removed and his advances rebuffed.. had arrested a suspect ,charged with murder..

A Black man named Arthur Clark accused of killing his wife....

Now calling herself ,Olivia Bennett...(She and her husband were estranged ,seperated for a bit was using her maiden name,) She emerged again.

As did her niece, Beverly West...

with protoge ,Nelson East. , Once again they were in court defending someone he had arrested and charged with murder.

This trio ,took another Assistant District Attorney to task....confounded her with laws, predicates and examples from other like cases, never being surprised and yet surprising her at every step...

"Has the jury come to a decision?" asked the Judge..

"Yes your honor...We have..." said the Foreman...

The Bailiff brought it to him...He read it.. His face betrayed no emotion..

"Read it." he said.

"In the matter of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vs. Arthur Clark on the charge of First Degree Murder..We find the Defendent.. NOT GUILTY!

Again this woman, Olivia...and her niece had thwarted him!! He took  these losses personally.

"Sgt. Tragg, you are the worst detective I have ever seen in my life....I told you to recanvas...I told you to find me more evidence...But noooooooooo, you were more interested in getting in my panties than bringing in a good case...GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!snarled an Angry ADA Elaine Young.

"I uh guess this means we can't go out huh?" he said.

"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING...GET OUTTA MY SIGHT!" yelled ADA Elaine Young.

Over the years...He didn't see Olivia again...both she and her niece had left the Public Defenders Office, So Had Nelson... Olivia was working downtown at a Private Law firm, Nelson was working at a Private firm too. and he moved up the ladder and became a Lieutenant..

Olivia had gotten a divorce,  had purchased a property that served as her law practice and her home as well as the home for her niece.. And she was back...Now in Private Practice. Her own practice!

She had remarried.. Her name was now Olivia Bennett-Alexander,  She married a retired Homicide Detective from New Orleans she had met , who had moved up here named Donnie Ray Alexander.. a very good investigator..

Her niece, Beverly West and her protoge, Nelson East got married and moved in with her and Donnie Ray...

She added two additional attorneys..Josie Boyd and Bresha Billips..

And Beverly's mother,Alfreda  who had her with Olivia's older brother as her office manager...

Together , they have become the bane of his existence... Winning case after case and making him look like a fool..

III-

TODAY-

We were back at our home...Our Duplex- Office.. We gave Todd and Vanessa  the tour of our Office Depot...

We took them upstairs to Nelson and Beverly's domicile.

and then a floor up to Olivia and my domicile...

Josie showed them our Law Library...

and our Media room.

They were both impressed..

Bresha showed them photos of all of our friends and neighbors who came through here to use our Conference room to work remotely.. The Law Library and The Media Room.

Some people he didn't know and others like Yvette Jones -Lockwood and staff,  Keith Jones, Bee Bee Evans, his ex fiance, Sofia Garcia Ahmed, Kahlil Ahmed and Jade Lee - Ho ,he knew quite well....

Even Bresha's husband, Attorney Tony Billips worked here remotely and used the Law Library and Media Room.

Todd was quite impressed.

"WOWWWWW! This place is like the center of the community..."gushed Todd.

"Yes , it is sometimes! Now that we have got all of that taken care of.. Here comes our spiel..Hit it Niecey Poo." said Olivia.

Beverly passed him a Burner Phone..

"This is a burner phone..from this time and until the trial is done..You call this number and this number only...Not our business phones or our personal phone numbers.."said Beverly.

Nelson passed him a Portal...

"It's your choice..We always tell our clients to rent a room somewhere ,using their real name and keep a low profile because of Lt. Tragg, but I suppose you're not going to do that are you?  Well here is a Portal.. We can keep you abreast of your case by this.." he said.

''You can relax where ever you are,."said Josie.

"I plan to...and let me remind you... That Cease and Desist is still in effect , Let Lt. Tragg get caught on this block and he's going to the Cooler.. Just call me..."said Todd..

"Well Thank You!"said Olivia.

"Olivia, where is your husband?" asked Vanessa.

"He's going over the crime scene." said Olivia.

I was back at the warehouse where the murder took place ,looking for any clue of someone else being there...

IV-

I found a line from where the killer must have stood and found what I was looking for..

I found cigarette butts and a single shell casing... I couldn't believe the police had missed these...It was a Lt Tragg investigation...Of course they did..

I grabbed two baggies and scooped them up..

I returned home.. It was late... I could hear Beverly and Nelson making sweet love..

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm husband..." moaned Beverly...

"OHHHHHHHHHHHH BEVERLY..."moaned Nelson..

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she cooed. They were kissing up against the door... Nelson had taken her skirt off and had opened her blouse and was unhooking her bra...

"Slip my panties to the side baby..." she cooed.

"I'm slipping them off.." he said.

"Ouuuuuuuuuuuuu OUUUUUUUUUU Nastyyyyyyyyy boy!" she cooed.

"AWWWWWWWWWWW....OHHHHHHHHHHHH MY GOD!" he moaned...

"UMMMMMMMMMM!" she cooed.

Olivia was in our bedroom...She was dressed for bed in her white babydoll....

"What you got?" she asked as I undressed.,

"I went back to that crime scene... Olivia...somebody was definitely there...Somebody other than Todd Dellums... I found these cigarette butts and a spent shell casing all in a corner...I'm really surprised the cops missed it." I said,

"It's a Lieutenant Tragg investigation, what do you expect?" asked Olivia. "What are you going to do with that?" she asked.

"Taking it to our friends over at the C.I.D. and get a DNA reading on them... What are you doing?." I said..

"Gathering some information on our opposition..." she said.

and I got in bed and slipped her panties off..

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...Ummmmmmmmm!" she moaned..

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW..LAWWWWWWWWWWWWD!" I cried out..

She was the softest woman...baby soft, wettest woman I had ever held.....

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she cried out as I placed her on the dresser drawer and pounded away...

We sat on the side of the bed...Her riding me slowly and drowning me with soft kisses....

It had been quite a day....We were making sweet love for the rest of the night....
