ADA Bruce Greene poured himself a cup of coffee as he looked at or dossiers...

And a few blocks away at Liberty Place in a Law Office known as Halsley and Associates, formerly the McCardle Group.

An important litigation was just settled and most of the litigants were leaving...

Attorney Jane Halsley, and her four attorneys were picking up papers off the desk and getting ready to leave when she looked up and saw Nelson...

"YOU!" she said derisively.

"Yes it's me... You told me the next time I came back to come back with a court order....Well ,I did..

I brought seven court orders to be exact and my associates.."said Nelson, smiling.. "My Boss, Mrs. Olivia Bennett-Alexander, My wife, Mrs. Beverly West East and my associates, Josie Boyd and Bresha Billips." said Nelson.

"Jane Halsley I've so wanted to meet you...I was a Public Defender for several years with major trial experience and I worked at a major firm here in the city for years and couldn't make Senior Associate Attorney let alone partner and yet you come in and you have not a third of my experience and you make Partner within months...How does that work?" asked Olivia.

"Maybe I just worked harder than you or maybe I was just lucky I guess." sneered Jane Halsley.

"Really? That's some Luck....I'd like you to tell us about that luck someday..."laughed Beverly...

"At any rate...you're going to tell us about that "luck" in court..." said Olivia.

Josie pulled out a stack of subpoenas...Placing one in Jane's hands...

"These are subpoena's, a court order for you to testify in court on behalf of Cynthia Redding..."Cricket" , who we are representing in the murder trial of your late founder...You didn't wait for his body to get cold in the ground did you? You took over , had your name put on the door." said Josie.

"Don't go anywhere ladies...There's one for you and you and you...and you too..." Bresha said to the four other female attorneys in the room....

"We gave one to your Office Manager too! Let me remind you...You'll all be under oath in a court of law....You're all attorneys like we are ,so you realize...Perjury carries a stiff sentence and can be detrimental to your careers." said Beverly with an angelic smile...

Jane looked at Beverly with an almost murderous anger....She didn't like her! She didn't like Olivia or Nelson either for that matter...Not that they cared.

"Nice Office....See you ladies in court...Come on guys." said Olivia.

"Good Day ladies" said Nelson with a smile as he followed Olivia and the girls out..

Tension began to brew between Halsley and Montgomery County District Attorney Scott Flanders..

On multiple occasions, Flanders spoke to Halsley concerning her violation of office policy. She had issued press releases with her own name—and not Flanders—on top. The relationship between Halsley and Flanders slowly deteriorated and after three years, she turned in her resignation and moved to Philadelphia where she took a job with the McCardle Group...a seemingly progressive law firm with an all female staff except it's boss, Former Judge, Sam McCardle.

She went from Associate Attorney to Senior Associate Attorney in one month and within the next month she was named Partner.... With the death of Sam McCardle...She renamed the firm, "Halsley and" Associates" and is it's head.

''Wow...she's been an ambitious, high achiever , her entire life." said Beverly.

''And you can bet that a girl like that has stabbed a few people in the back to get where she is."said Olivia.

I arrived in the office just then...They hadn't seen me all day...I had news...

"Guess what? That condom wrapper found in the waste basket at the crime scene could be our killer's undoing... It has a latent fingerprint on it and sweaty DNA....The print and the DNA doesn't match Cricket....meaning someone else had sex with Sam McCardle before he died...They were smart...They wiped that office down completely...No prints, not even his and no DNA on anything...They knew a condom would have his semen and DNA from whoever he had sex with on it and in it...They were smart enough to get rid of that....but they forgot about the wrapper in the trash can.... Also...there are prints on Cricket's desk drawer that aren't hers....And one of the prints is a match for the print on the condom wrapper. My theory is that killer planted that gun in her drawer and forgot to wipe it off completely... There is another latent print on that gun....that doesn't match Crickett.....So I had the condom wrapper and that drawer and the gun all dusted and tested and the prints match!! Only problem is...The prints aren't in the system anywhere..." I said.

"They might be somewhere....Maybe our killer has no criminal record but they have a civil service record.....Bree, feel like taking a drive out to Montgomery County?" asked Olivia.

Bresha smiled....

"Other detectives seem to do a better job on his investigations than he does." said Virginia.

who along with her boyfriend Carlos Ortiz had parked their car in back of our office /duplex and were staying in our sub-basement apartment the entire weekend..They had come here on our bus too!

"How was your first week back at The Women's Law Center Elaine?" asked Carlos.

"Yes Elaine, how was it?" asked our client ,Crickett, who was out with us tonight....

"It's been great....I love it.After this trial, I want you to come work with me... I imagine Jane isn't going to want you working there anymore. " said Elaine..

"I know, I haven't gone on trial yet, haven't been convicted and she's already sent me a termination letter." said Cricket.

"Why am I not surprised....Jane is a vindicative and Ambitious bitch..She always has been and now she's got everything she ever wanted." said Elaine.

"Crickett, we'll drive you back to your hotel when we leave." said Judge Charlotte Peterson, who had driven Elaine here tonight... Neither woman wanted to spend Friday Night at home alone...They chose to come here, surrounded by friends...

From a Distance, sat Jane Halsley and a date...a Man we did not know..She saw us..

"There's those lawyers that are defending that little trollip that used to work at my firm and that killed our boss." she snarled.

"Come on now...They look like nice enough people...They're just doing their jobs....and what if the girl is innocent, what if they get her off?" said her date.

''She's not innocent...She's as guilty as hell. And she's not coming back to my firm , even if she is acquitted." said Jane Halsley..

''Well will you look who is here tonight..Jane Halsley...Ms. Ambitious." said Olivia.

"Yeah...it is Friday....I suppose everyone needs to come out for a bit of fresh air.." I said.

''She's as slick as canned grease..." said Beverly..

"Guess she can sleep with the man of her choice now.."said Nelson.

"She's got nobody to put down now...She's on the top." said Josie.

"Yupper...She owns the joint..." said Paris.

"One good thing...At least those women aren't forced to sleep with the boss now...They can work a normal work day with no pressure..."said Bresha.

"I'm bettin one or two of them miss it."laughed Tony....

"I doubt that....Nobody wants to work under that type of pressure."said Alfreda.

Rockland just nodded...

"Oh Look..it's Jane! Hi Jane!" said Crickett , who waved..

Jane turned her head derisively....

"I know she saw me...She didn't speak.." said Crickett.

"Pay her no mind Crickett, She means you no good." said Elaine.

Three Days Later-

"Come and get it...Breakfast is served." said Alfreda..

This morning, Alfreda and I had fixed breakfast for everybody.....It was a Monday Morning...everybody was a little sleepy coming in...

"Ummmm let me throw some of those hot cakes on my plate.." said Nelson...

Beverly laughed at her husband as she herself put some pancakes on her plate......"Food and Me are his biggest hobbies..." she laughed...

Boy they sure are strict...They don't do that here."said Bresha.

"Oh yes they do, Mine, Beverly, Nelson, Karen, Natalie, David, Brooke, Jessica, Chip and Jazzy are all on file...We've all worked for the City of Philadelphia in some capacity...at one time or other...But good girl....Did you give the information to Danny?" asked Olivia.
