"These are the lawyers you're going to be up against."said Detective Kelly O'Reilly.

Assistant District Attorney Mike Pitt looked at the photos and read the biographies..

"Hmmm, Two of them are Penn Law graduates...I graduated from Penn Law...One of em went to Penn for undergrad and Drexel for Law school...hmmm impressive...I haven't been in Philly in years,.." was all he'd say...

"I didn't know you were from Philly."said Detective O'Reilly..

"I'm not!!..I'm from Santa Monica..but I lived in Philly while attending the University of Pennsylvania.I attended there for undergrad and law school. I worked in Philadelphia for about two years and then returned to California. I've heard of her at least, This Olivia Bennett-Alexander...A very pretty woman....I didn't realize she was married.

She gave a very good speech at the Law Review dinner here in San-Francisco a few years back...I was quite impressed...She's brought her entire staff with her to defend this man, Joseph Porter I see...

Her niece, her niece's husband, her husband and an additional attorney...They're here to assist young Richard Lawson eh? I can't stand him..." he said.

(He had lost two big cases to young Rick Lawson)

Rick Lawson didn't care much for Mike Pitt either.

"Hmm that's a vote of confidence for him...isn't it?" laughed Mike Pitt..

Detective O'Reilly laughed.

II-

In a coffee shop in downtown San-Francisco...Attorney Richard Lawson was looking over briefs while awaiting his coffee and breakfast..

He looked up and saw his friend.., Kelly

Kelly Payton...She worked as a Para-Legal in the D.A.'s office by day and attended law school at night..She had been his eyes and ears in the D.A. office for the past four years..

"Hey buddy.." she said.

"Heyyyy girl, how you doin? How is the law school?" asked Rick Lawson.

"You're late ! I graduated from law school a few weeks ago..." said Kelly, who was always so bubbly and good natured.

Kelly had a nice body...and a beautiful smile.. He had noticed ...He had never not noticed...But he treated her as "His Little Sister" He was more into Teel...

He dreamed of him and Teel at night making crazy love...

He fantasized about taking Teel in the Judges Chambers after a big trial and

having his way with her..

In reality...Teel Porter was never mean to him...She smiled weakly when he complimented her, but that was as far as it ever went..Her mind was usually miles away...

He stopped daydreaming about Teel and congratulated Kelly...

"Heyyyyy congratulations...I'm so sorry I missed it."said Rick ,who hugged her...Her body was soft and curvy....and she smelled nice... This was as close physical contact as he had ever had with Kelly.....

"I think I deserved that..since you weren't at my graduation...I sent you an invite.."she said..

"Hey listen, I overheard Detective O'Reilly and ADA Mike Pitt talking about you...He had Maxy do a work up on those attorneys from Philly

you'll be working with..He had photos and biographies..They made a joke about you...saying that Joey Porter

didn't have any faith in you..and that's why he called them in..."said Kelly..

"He didn't call them in..His ex-wife, ADA Teel Porter

called them in..They're her friends...and Mr. Porter asked them if I could stay a part of the team...They said yes and I've been with them the past few days...They're real good people...I like em."said Rick..

"You still got a thing for her huh? Teel ! She's got a man.!!...and plus she's older than you...I'm just sayin...You could do better."said Kelly..

"Could I? You got any ideas?" asked Rick..

"Yeah, ME FOR ONE!!! Yes I'm sayin it...I'd be a good girlfriend to you....If you'd give me a chance..I'm serious Rick! " she said and stared into his eyes... He went to embrace her again for another kiss, but she moved away..

Their coffee's arrived..

"And while you chew on that...Think about when you're going to help me study for the bar."she said and smiled..

He smiled and looked at her..

They both had Strawberry Waffles

They wound up back in Daley City at Kelly's apartment...Making sweet love for the first time..

"Ouuuuuuuuuuu Rick!...Rick....You don't know how long I've waited for this...Ouuuuuuuuuuuuu!" she moaned..as he bent her over the kitchen sink...slowly slipped her panties down and entered her from behind..

The Murder Trial of Joseph Porter began the next day!

He sat with his protoge, Rick Lawson by his side..

ADA Mike Pitt was on the prosecutions side and the Judge

Robert Clayton was presiding.

We were in Foreign Territory..We didn't know the Judge, The Prosecutor or the Case Detective..Kind of made you long for home...

Like Lt. Tragg, Detective O'Reilly loved to hear himself talk and loved to talk to the press

Who were assembled outside of the courtroom...This was a controversial case..

Nelson and Josie ,who he had teaching the art of Voir Dire knew the type of juror they wanted and they both played a game of bait and switch with ADA Mike Pitt

who was ill tempered and frustrated and had no time for what he considered courtroom stunts and shenanigans....

Nelson and Josie got 11 of the 12 jurors they wanted...

Olivia stared proudly at her one time protoge' Nelson and her newest attorney, Josie like a proud mother...

Beverly was amazingly very turned on by what Nelson had done...At that moment ,she wanted him very badly..

That night she rewarded him with hours of sensual loving..

The trial began with ADA Mike Pitt ,who was thinking about a run for the D.A.'s office giving a moving and eloquent oratory about our client's guilt..

He said that it was coldly and cruelly planned and that he would prove it...He discussed our client's two marriages and painted him as a "soul less adulterer and sociopath who had little regard for women...A little harsh...but effective...

Olivia and Beverly did what Olivia and Beverly do, give a brilliant counter argument to the contrary and promised that after this was over...The jury would have no doubt that their client was innocent.

Rick Lawson was impressed..

"They're quite good.."he said.. "I see why your uh ex-wife hired them."he whispered to Joe Porter.

"YESSSSSSSSSSSS...they are quite good."said a smiling Joe Porter..He was checking out Olivia and Beverly's bodies ,

the way their dresses fit them..how good they smelled..

He was so aroused...That he momentarily forgot that he was on trial for his life..

ADA Pitt brought out Policemen who had been at the scene as well as Crime Scene Investigators and Forensic people...

To his surprise...We didn't question any of them...There was no need to...

But his 10 eyewitnesses were a different story....He gently prodded them into testifying a little contrary to their original statements..and

Rick Lawson, Olivia, Beverly, Nelson and Josie went hard on them comparing their original police statements to what they told us in signed affadavits and recorded interviews..

ADA Mike Pitt objected vigorously and was over ruled 9 out of 10 times by

Judge Clayton, who was enjoying the legal sparring..

I was sitting next to Olivia...I rubbed her hands softly....

She smiled softly and rubbed one of my hands...

We hadn't changed the narrative too much...but had at least made the jury think..

Nelson had the jury at 7-5 , 7 to acquit, 5 to convict....

ADA Mike Pit showed the jury lurid photos of the death scene...Of Lorena Love in life and Lorena's lifeless body floating in the jacuzzi after death and begged for a guilty conviction and closed the Prosecution's case after four days...

"You knocked it out the box champ.."said Detective O'Reilly...

And spoke to the Press afterwords...

"They brought in these big shot lawyers from Philly for nothing...This aint corrupt Philly this is the city by the bay and we know our law here.." he said, sneering at us...

Olivia and Beverly had clearly won San-Francisco over the short time they'd been here..Featured on the nightly news and Jimmy's morning TV talk show..

They were a ratings hit...He had long bragged about his "Little Sister and His Daughter, who were big time attorneys out east.." Well now the city got to meet them and Us,

The men in their lives...His brother in law and son in law..

As well as Josie.

and Jimmy's "Little Cousin"Kayla and her husband, Ray, also attorneys..

The city loved us...Our fashion sense...The Restaurants and clubs we patronized...everything...We were all over the news..Constantly photographed...

and we gave Jimmy his best ratings yet!!!

We all had dinner with him and Malinda

a couple of nights...

The Jury loved us....and Olivia and Beverly milked it for all it was worth..

After a brilliant opening argument, Olivia and the team went to work on our client's alibi...

Nelson brought out three 64 inch Monitors and showed time stamped photos of our client in

Richmond, In Daley City , In Oakland and back in San Francisco...These were taken by street and traffic cameras and documented where he was the entire night...

He called Police officers to the stand that stated...He was sweaty and unwashed and had on the same clothing he had worn the day before when they arrived at the scene.

They also stated that he was dry...Not wet. Not a man who was in a bathrobe and had soaked someone in the jacuzzi.

Beverly produced Credit Card slips that co-incided with where he was the night before..At the Gas Station, at a restaurant, at a coffee shop at another gas station and finally at the pancake house.

She called the Coroner which put the death at 3:35am...

She stated that at 3:35 am...He had just gotten gas in Richmond and was on the road to Daley City,arguing, he couldn't have committed the murder.

Rick Lawson called Homer Wilson, the eyewitness, the man who put Joe Porter at the spot..The Prosecution's top witness...They purposely didn't question him during the prosecution's case...

Rick asked him if he was always looking into Joe Porter's window at his girlfriend..

ADA Pitt objected vigorously... It was sustained..

I handed Josie the enlarged glossies..

She showed them to the jury...

"Mr. Wilson... These photos were taken from your bedroom window...They were taken at several angles. Now there is Attorney Olivia Bennett-Alexander in a bathing suit getting in the Jacuzzi...She is a petite woman, you can see her fully....and there is her husband in the bathrobe...he's about the same height as Mr. Porter...You see his hands and his arms.. BUT YOU CAN'T SEE HIS HEAD....because in the third and fourth photos..That's ME!!! You can't see who it is in that bathrobe..All you know is someone wearing Mr. Porter's bathrobe, choked her out..You can't see it!"said Rick Lawson..

He admitted sadly that he couldn't...That he only saw the bathrobe..

The prosecutions main witness and the 10 witnesses to the altercation in the bar had been discredited..

ADA Pitt glared angrilly at Detective O'Reilly..

who was as red as a beet....

Josie called Ike Tolliver..

He remembered her from the bar...He couldn't take his eyes off her breasts...He remembered Beverly too.

"Why are you two fine honeys wasting your time with this??..Come work for me...I could use good lawyers."he snickered as he took the stand.

Josie asked him his occupation...He said he was an Investment Banker...She showed a copy of his last tax returns, which showed he made a little over 400K last year....

"And yet you have over one million dollars in liquid assets alone."said Josie.

"I save and invest well" he said with a smile...The Jury laughed. He was amazed at how much they knew about his business.

"Your bank statements show that you were taking out 100 large every month and had been taking it out for about six months...Ms. Love's bank account shows she was gaining an excess of 100K every month.."said Beverly..

"So? What's that got to do with me?" he asked.. He was getting a little nervous.

"Well for one thing, you wired her the money from your account into hers....She wasn't your lawyer was she? But she discovered what you were doing...You have a package on the street...a lucrative package of Heroin that your associates have been selling to rival drug organizations and you have been the target of investigations by the DEA and the San-Francisco Narcotics Unit...But Ms. Love had proof..Proof of your involvement and she was blackmailing you...She had been blackmailing you for months.. I have someone here that will testify that she was blackmailing you and was asking for more money...That's why you and her were out for drinks that night when my client ran up on you...It wasn't romantic..It was a business meeting."said Olivia.

"You're drawn...Nice story...but it's just a story.."said Ike Tolliver.

Nelson produced a time stamped photo of his car.

"That's your car, a block from Joe Porter's house....The time-3:15 am, 15 minutes before the murder..what were you doing there?" asked Nelson...

"That's your car ace, at the top of Mr. Porter's block at 3:37 am..Minutes after the murder. I'll ask you again,...What are you doing there.?" asked Rick.

"I aint sayin nothin else...I want a lawyer gotdamnit!"said Ike Tolliver..

"That's an excellent idea Ike."laughed Olivia.

IV-

The Jury took an hour and a half to come back..

Judge Clayton read the verdict!

''Baillif read the verdict" he instructed.

"IN THE MATTER OF THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA VS. JOSEPH PORTER.ON THE CAPITAL OFFENSE OF MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE, WE FIND THE DEFENDENT ,

NOT GUILTY!"

"Gotdamnit!" said ADA Mike Pitt, who slammed his palm on his desk...Got up and stormed out...

"OHHHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH, ALL OF YOU!!" said a very happy Joseph Porter, who hugged Olivia a little too long...

"UMMMMMMMMMM THANK YOUUUUUUUUU, AWWWWWWWW!" he moaned..

"You're, You're welcome..."said Olivia, who eased away from him...She felt very awkward and embarrassed.. She could feel his erection...She looked at him in horror!

He hugged Beverly the same way...

"UMMMMMMMMM THANK YOU SOOO MUCH...OUUUUUUUUUUU...AWWWWWWWW!" he moaned.

Beverly could actually feel his erection also...

"You...You...You're welcome." she said and quickly pulled away from him...looking at him in shock!

He shook both my hand and Nelson's hand and thanked us profusely...but he didn't hug us..

"Rick....Thank you....I hope you learned a lot from these guys.." he said.

"I sure did..."said Rick Lawson...

He hugged Josie...

"OHHHHHHHHHH...OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUU..AWWWWWWWWWWW LAWWWWWD!"he moaned, hugging Josie like he didn't want to let go..

"Uh...I can't breathe...Uhhh you're welcome!" she said as she pressed free..

"Uh excuse me..." he said ,smiling sheepishly and ran to the restroom.....

"He's Nasty"said Olivia.

"Yes he is.."said Beverly...

"YESSSSSS!"agreed Josie.

In the distance...Rick Lawson was with his friend..

"You guys were great....You were wonderful Rick.."said Kelly..

"Uhhhhh, ummmm I uh can start tutoring you to take the bar tonight if you like." said Rick..

"It's Thursday Night...You just won a big case...Wait until Monday night...but you can come over...if you like." she said and winked...

and they kissed passionately...

Beverly noticed it...She smiled..She was happy for them..

Teel walked over to us...

"You guys are the greatest...Thank you again!.....I see my boyfriend over there is stepping out on me with another woman." she joked ,pointing to Rick and Kelly kissing passionately in the corner..

"That's cute..."said Olivia..

''It is..."said Beverly....

"Awwwwww he found someone..."said Josie..

"She's nice." Nelson whispered to me..

"Yeah.." I said.

We were all interviewed by an adoring press...

The very happy now former Murder defendent, Attorney Joseph Porter, who put his arm around Olivia and kissed her on the cheek...His hand moving too close to her butt...

Olivia, who headed his defense team...Removing his hand and nervously moving away from him..

Beverly, who assisted in running his defense ,moved closer to me.

I had no idea what was going on until later and perhaps that was good...I would've hung that guy by his suit jacket...

So would Nelson, who also didn't know.

Josie was on the other side of Rick Lawson

who had his new girlfriend...Law school graduate ,Kelly Payton with him

She was so bubbly and happy to be with him

And ADA Teel Porter, who was not interviewed, but stood with us anyway.

After we cleared out , Detective Kelly O'Reilly

was interviewed...The Press was not kind to him the way they had been to us/...

"Loused up another case eh Kels?" asked one reporter....

"What are you now, 0-12?" asked another reporter...

'Hey you ever arrested anyone that actually got convicted.?" asked another one..

The room was filled with laughter.

That was all he could take..

"THAT DID IT!!!!" he yelled...He punched two reporters, an additional three punched him...Fists began swinging...Uniformed police officers swarmed into the area...Tables fell over...People began running, screaming..

"You Know, this makes me homesick." I said..

"Me too." said Olivia, laughing...

"Wow, this is just like home.."said Beverly..

"I knowwwwww." said Josie.

"My Man...Is there a side exit to this courtroom?" asked Nelson..

"Kelly, you know where all the exits are don't you baby?" asked Rick.

"Yeah, follow me you guys.."said Kelly...

I liked Kelly.

EPILOUGE-

Our Last Night in San Francisco... Larry North , who was rivalig me for picking great Eating places picked this restaurant....And we all came...

"Gee ,I'm sorry to see you guys go....You've got to come out here one time when you don't have to work."said Larry North..

"Yes Liv, Beverly, Josie.. Kayla...I'm sorry we didn't get to go shoe shopping.."said Teel.

"I knowwwww...but you can come to Philly....You've got to....We'll show you both a good time.:said Kayla..

"Yes...Come on Larry, Bring her to your home town." said Ray...

"Oh I plan to.." laughed Larry North..

"Promises, Promises.."laughed Teel.

''We'd really love to have you both and we have a place you both can stay..."said Olivia.

'Still, we had a great time....We always do when we come here." said Olivia.

"Yes...I'll certainly remember these restaurants.."I said, smiling..

"This was so much fun...Thank you all for your hospitality..."said Beverly.

"Yes.."said Nelson.

Josie and Paris walked in with Rick and his date...

"Heyyy Guys" they said..

"Hi everybody...This is Kelly ...Uh Kelly Payton...She just graduated from law school a few weeks ago...University of California, Berkeley School of Law.." he said.

"Awwww CONGRATULATIONS! !" said Olivia.
