A lot had happened since Bridget Jones had turned herself over to us.

She got a good nights sleep in our sub-basement... Probably her most restful sleep in weeks

She got up showered and got a change of clothes the next morning..

She had a good breakfast with us that same morning..

"Olivia, guys, thank you for putting me up last night and for this incredible breakfast....You guys always eat like this?" asked Bridget.

''Well fed lawyers are the best lawyers." said Olivia.

"You certainly look better this morning than you did last night." I said.

"I was staying with a good friend..Two good friends to be exact....but I couldn't allow them to be jeopardized any further,.So I came here."said Bridget.

"The Best thing for you to do is to turn yourself in." said Olivia..

"You know we got your back!"said Beverly.

"The Case against you is so weak...it might get tossed out before it even gets started."said Nelson.

"No prints, No DNA..No real motive...Except that Purse...They know Olivia bought it for you as a Christmas present...It was in the car with the dead man."said Josie.

"Don't for right now...Save it....You're going to turn yourself in...We are going to get you arraigned and get you released and then you can tell us all about it."said Olivia.

"Give us a list of charactor witnesses...Home Addresses, Email Addresses, Phone numbers...We'll need that for the arraignment."said Bresha.

"You guys are a well oiled machine....You don't miss a trick..."laughed Bridget...

"That's why they win cases." said Alfreda.

And we went with her to Central Booking where she turned herself in to Lt. Tragg.

"I'm surprised...Your lawyer friends actually kept their word...They got you to turn yourself in."said Lt. Tragg..

"It's for a short while.. I'm innocent."said Bridget.

"Of course you are." smirked Lt. Tragg.

And she was formally charged with First Degree Murder, Booked and placed in custody...

II-

TWO NIGHTS LATER-

NIGHT COURT-

In Philadelphia, Night Court only operates two nights a week....Tuesday and Thursday, Tonight was Thursday...and fortunately...We got an arraignment date of 9:00 pm.

Lt. Tragg was not there... Night court was too low profile for him...No witnesses...No media..and a bunch of Judges and ADA's who were mostly older Judges and ADA's about to retire...It was lightweight. It was in session from 7:00 pm- 10:00 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays...We were quite fortunate to get a date.

The ADA that did show up was not going to be the ADA that tried the case...He had only the basic out line of the case at hand... He basically wanted to go home...So he didn't really put up much of a fight.

We presented 100 charactor witnesses , More than we'd ever had for any other client of ours..

Bridget Jones, a local business woman and entrepreneur had no priors...not so much as a parking ticket was very impressive.

.She was released on her own recognizance..without bail..and surprisingly without having to wear an ankle monitor..

"Olivia, Beverly, Donnie Ray, Josie ,Nelson and Bresha...I can't thank you enough....what a horrendous day...." said Bridget, newly freed ,awaiting trial and very happy...

It being Thursday....We took her to Curley's..It was Couples Night...

"Relax tonight Bridget...You're free, for now..Have some drinks on us." said Olivia.

"I haven't been in here in a minute." said Bridget..

"Relax... the worst is over." I said, reassuring her.

"You're amongst friends." said Beverly.

"And some of your best customers as well." said Nelson

"YES!"agreed Josie.

''Male and Female"laughed Bridget.

"That's right!"laughed Paris.

"You're loved and supported Bridget..."said Bresha.

"And I'm sure you'll be exonerated." said Tony.

"The case against you is weak." said Alfreda.

"From what I've viewed of it...It's very weak.. The Prosecutor they have on it..Joshua Hoffman never takes on a case unless he is certain he can get a conviction...I'm surprised it hasn't been tossed out."said Rockland.

"He might want to stay on the case because Olivia and Bev are on it and his ego wants a win over them."said Yvette.

'So my life is a requiem on his ego?" scoffed Bridget.

"You're right otherwise he would've tossed this case out or at least made Lt. Tragg go back and recanvass." said Gary,

'Speak of the devil, he's over there in the corner with Judge Kelly Anne, I know he's seen Bridget."said Keith Jones.

"Normally he would've been over here in our faces, bellowing and pontificating."said Bee Bee,.

"He won't be over here tonight..Trust me."said Sofia.

"No...Kelly Ann has him hemmed up." said Kahlil.

"You're right about that." said Jade.

"Hoffman is not one to mess with...He has drag with the Deputy Of Operations...Lt. Tragg fumbles the ball on this..he could definitely wind up on that Marine Boat."said Danny Ho.

"Hope Springs Eternal!" laughed Virginia.

Jetty laughed as another round of drinks arrived.

Lt. Tragg saw Bridget laughing, talking and drinking with us and was incensed....

"I don't believe it! She's out of jail already? She just turned herself in two days ago...They're magicians.." he snorted..

"Arrrrrthurr stop worrying about them and concentrate on meee." cooed Kelly Ann..

''Wow those two are really going at it in that corner....They need a room." said Natalie.

"Everybody reacts like that!"laughed Bresha.

"Have some Ice Tea." said Alfreda

As she poured glasses of Ice Tea for all of us.

"Bridget, what happened?" asked Olivia...It was the first time she had asked her good friend her side of the story.

"I was a fool...A Fool in lust...I was introduced to Tate Dennison by a board member...A Former Board member...I had no idea what tate Dennison did for a living...How he made his money...but that he was somewhat of a womanizer...

He wined and dined me for about six months and pretty soon..He made his way into my bedroom. I was mesmerized...He was a great lover...

He often talked to me about different members of my board of directors, who he didn't believe was cutting the mustard, who I should get rid of..and he started replacing them with very shady charactors..

He was beginning to have a lot of influence over my business....It was when I went to San-Francisco and mentioned his name that I found out the truth...That he was a corporate raider...That he liquadated companies for stock holders.. I found out that he tried to gain influence by getting closer to a leader and gaining influence over their companies...

When I returned to Philadelphia...I hired a Private Investigator..Milt Lewis.

He discovered that Tate was on the outs with a lot of people, legitimate people in the business world.and was starting to pal around with a lot of underworld figures...He discovered that he might be using my business to launder a great deal of money for a Russian Mobster...

I was incensed...I fired all of the "Board members" he had put in place and rehired the Board Members he had convinced me to fire. I told him I wanted our relationship to end and that I never wanted to see him asgain...

But I was weak Olivia..He convinced me to have one last fling, for "old times sake.." He was a little

taken with me too!

We had sex one last time at my townhouse...After he left...I noticed the purse you bought me was missing, along with a bra of mine and a pair of my panties..He had stolen that from my townhouse. That was the last time I saw him..

I walked over to a card game in session..

"Are you playing?" said a man who was dealing cards...His name was Mikal Mogolovich, The Russian American Gangster said to be a close associate of the late Tate Dennison.
