H. Stanley Stanlison studied our dossiers.. He had been in court with us a few times and had narrowly beat us once in a hearing back in January....It wasn't the same as trying a complete case against us...but he was planning to win this case.

"They're quite impressive....but they're young and they can be beat..." he reasoned.

Just a few blocks away at a tony coffee shoppe...We were meeting with our friend, Attorney and Insurance Investigator, Bonnie Shay..

"If your husband really is dead..He had a life insurance policy out on you for 3 million dollars.Which you're entitled to providing Olivia and company help you beat this murder rap, which I'm certain they can do."said Bonnie.

"Right now we are still waiting to see if that even is your husband who was in that plane crash."said Olivia.

 

"I've got the Medical Examiner's Office on Speed Dial.  Your Husband's Dentist was on Vacation in the Bahamas. He is due back today.  They'll get those dental records and the results from the DNA sample they took." I said.

"Once we know who it is.. We can move forward from there." said Beverly.

"Your husband had a lady friend....You know that don't you?" asked Nelson.

"You mean a mistress...Yes, I know all about that tramp...Amber Williams is her name."said Rosie.

"I've been tracking her...She moved out of her last known address the day before the plane crash and left no forwarding address and hasn't been seen or heard from since., but I'm still hunting." I said.

"What if she and your husband ran off and he faked his death in that plane crash?" asked Josie.

"Well Somebody is dead in that plane crash and they have to be accounted for..."said Bresha.

"But that gets me out of a murder rap if that's true....I can't imagine Rance doing something like that." said Rosie.

"Trust me...I've been a Defense Attorney, An Assistant District Attorney and now as an Insurance Investigator...I've seen it all...Stranger things have happened." said Bonnie Shay.

"We can only hope that Rance wouldn't be privy to something like this...but right now..I don't honestly know.." sighed Olivia.

Hot Croissants arrived, right out of the oven

A Little While Later-

I successfully traced Amber Williams to an address very close to us. Beverly and I arrived there shortly with a subpoena.

''Well we do know he was in deep financial trouble at the time of his uh er death...His business was about to go belly up and he was trying to line up investors to loan him money and that was failing."said Bresha.

"A nice time to fake a death..." said Alfreda, laughing a little bit.

TWO NIGHTS LATER-

At a bar in another section of the city...

Amber Williams stood in a corner in the bar dialing a number on her phone and apparently not getting an answer..
