THE OFFICE OF DETECTIVE FRANK BONNEVILE, BAYSIDE HOMICIDE
"As you now know, Joe Teegan was murdered last night...He had a record...arrested three times for car theft...acquitted all three times...Has one conviction for Car theft...spent 3 years upstate as a guest of the state...Has been clean for close to twenty years...Worked at a Meat Packing plant...Was in the union..I understand you people subpoened him a few days ago as a witness in the Schwartz trial...wanna tell me what that was about?" asked the detective.
I showed him bank records...
"This was his normal take home pay....After bills were paid...this was what was left...roughly 15K...Pretty normal...now look..about a week ago , a huge deposit of 25K...just like that...He didn't get this on a Union Salary...We wanted to ask him how he got it," I said.
"Okay, it does look weird and a large amount like that would have to be reported...but what does that have to do with you guys? Your case?" asked Detective Bonneville.
"Mr. Teegan had a particular skill set as you well know..He was a master car theif..You guys busted him three times, four times...."said my wife Olivia.
"We think he was paid to break into our client's car and place a hot gun with a silencer that had been used in a double murder there...Our client has no idea how the gun got there and he said it isn't his gun..I checked the gun...The serial numbers were as expected filed off, but a further check shows this gun was stolen years ago and the silencer was ordered off the black market by persons unknown." I said.
Detective Bonneville laughed.. "You did good work...You used to be a cop didn't you? I can tell." he laughed..
"I was a Homicide Detective just like you in New Orleans before I uh...met her.." I said..
He looked at Olivia...She was an attractive woman..
"Heh heh heh...and she lured you from the Big Easy all the way up here to Philadelphia huh? I can understand that...She's a very attractive woman... Now this is a very fantastic story...Someone, the murderer pays this guy to break into your client's car and place the gun in the trunk...wow! That's good!"said Detective Bonneville.
"Come on Detective...My client is going to kill two people and leave the murder weapon around in the trunk of his car in full view for the cops to find it? That's too easy don't you think?" said Beverly.
"Plus he's a lawyer...He knows about evidence...He wouldn't make that kind of mistake. "said Nelson..
"You guys only know about the gun, only found it because of an anonymous tip...Now who would call you guys with that kind of knowledge? Who would know that?" asked Josie..
"I don't know....ohhhhhhhh let's see...The real murderer.." said Bresha.
Detective Bonneville laughed..
"You guys are good...I don't think Mr. Lancaster has anything to worry about..Between me and you...I know the guy...I don't think he killed them either...I like the husband, Alvin Schwartz for this...but he's got an alibi..." he said.
"He represented Teegan in all three of his cases...kept him out of prison and when Teegan's son got hooked on drugs..Schwartz got him into a rehab center.. Teegan owed him...and when he planted the gun.. and made the anonymous call...He was paying him back...We were going to ask him that in court under oath...but now we can't." I said.
"Okay, say you're right...Why is Teegan Dead?" asked Frank Bonneville.
"Because we subpoenaed him."said Olivia.
"He became a loose end, a liability...Schwartz couldn't count on his silence...The man was afraid..He had built a good life for himself since his young days...He didn't want to risk going back to jail..losing his job, his pension...He probably called Schwartz with his concerns...and Schwartz or persons unnown decided..He had to go."I said.
"You've seen this plot unfold on TV a hundred times." said Beverly...
Detective Bonneville laughed.. "She's a Cutey...She looks like you Mrs. Alexander...She your sister?" he asked.
"Everybody thinks so...She's my niece, My Older brother's daughter.."said Olivia.
"And she followed you into the law....wow..That's so cool..." said Detective Bonneville.. "Well good luck to you in your trial...I'll keep you up to date on anything I find... Personally, I believe you guys, I think you're on the right track." he said.
"Thanks sir." said Nelson.
"So refreshing to work with a detective with some common sense."said Josie.
"That's any detective who is not Lt. Tragg." said Bresha.
We all laughed as we left his office.

COURTROOM B- BAYSIDE COURTHOUSE
"Good Morning Jurors , I am Judge Julia Bruton........Welcome to my courtroom....Due to courtroom crowding of cases , we are going to bypass a preliminary hearing...We know that a crime, a heinous crime has been committed so we are going to go straight to trial.. We will have Jury selection today...So Tomorrow, we will begin with trial." said Judge Bruton.. "We will start today with introductions.." she said.
She was pretty and pleasent woman.
"I amAssistant District Attorney Daniel Masters, representing the commonwealth your honor."said Dan Masters, peering at us..
"Olivia Bennett-Alexander, Lead Attorney for the Defense your Honor." said Olivia..
"Beverly West-East, Second chair for the defense, your honor." said Beverly.
"Nelson East, Attorney for the Defense your honor." said Nelson.
"Josephine Boyd, Attorney for the Defense your honor." said Josie.
"Bresha Billips, Attorney for the Defense." said Bresha.
"Very Proffessional, Very well disciplined...Your wife has done an incredible job with those young attorneys."said our client, George Lancaster.
I smiled.. He hadn't seen anything yet.
"Good! Now that we are done with introductions, we'll have Voir dire....Potential Jurors are here." said Judge Bruton.
Danny Masters came prepared to put on a show....He had questions ready for the jurors ....
Nelson had minored in Trial Science during law school and had used it his entire career..He was a master of Voir Dire.Dan Masters had no idea that Nelson already knew all there was to know about the jurors and which ones he'd find acceptable and which ones he wouldn't...Nelson had carefully worded questions ready for each person he talked to...
George Lancaster was impressed..
Josie and Bresha, his little understudies , Protoge's if you will both were helping him today...They sat behind their laptops and whispered certain things they had talked about into his ear.. He smiled.
Nelson wound up with an even dozen...All 12 of the jurors we said we wanted for this trial.
7 African Americans, 5 Whites, 6 females, 6 males, all fairly young and urban...
George Lancaster was a bit weary of the jury selection...but he trusted his lawyers...He was very impressed with their proffessionalism..He looked at Olivia and smiled...
Olivia smiled at Nelson...
So did Beverly.
"Alright...We have a jury..It's Tuesday ..Trial will begin promptly Wednesday Morning at 9:00 AM, Jurors, Attorneys Be on time and Be ready for trial." said Judge Bruton...."You are dismissed." she said, striking her gavel.
We left court and returned home..
Alfreda smiled upon seeing us...
"You got a package in the mail today..." she said ,passing us a plastic bag with a smart phone in it.
"A Phone...Hmmmmmmmmmmm"said Olivia looking at me..
"A Burner Phone...wanna take a bet on who's phone it is?" I said smiling.
"Joe Teegan's and I'll bet it has the phone number of him calling the police on the day after the murder."said Beverly...
"Oh wowwww...So Joe Teegan committed the murders and broke into Lancaster's car ,planted the murder weapon and called the police anonymously."said Nelson.
"Or so someone would have us believe." said Josie.
"You think any prints are on it?" asked Bresha.
"I doubt it.."I said.
"I'm betting the prosecution knows we have this too!"said Olivia.
"Somebody is doing a little too much." said Beverly.
III-
COURTROOM B- BAYSIDE COURTHOUSE
ADA DANNY MASTERS began his prosecution the way so many prosecutors began their stories....He spent a few days showing the jurors the gruesome photos of the bloody loft....both dead bodies, the bullet holes..the blood on the walls, ceiling, mattress etc..
Naturally the jury was horrified....
He had a series of cops, detectives, CSI personell and the coroner testify to what they saw....
Then he presented the two detectives who made the case...
They talked about the crime scene...finding Mrs. Schwazt and her lover, Samuel Knoph in bed together and shot to death...
On Cross, Olivia, Beverly and Nelson went hard on them , getting them to explain their investigative techniques and asking how they came to the conclusion the killer was Mr. Lancaster and not the most obvious suspect, the husband, Alvin Schwartz?....It was after all his wife who was in bed with his partner in their loft...
They scored some good points here..
ADA Masters objected vigourously accusing, Olivia , Beverly and Nelson of badgering the witnesses.and stating that the two homicide detectives were not on trial here, but George Lancaster.
Judge Julia Bruton disagreed....
"I don't see them being argumentative or badgering ADA Masters....They are merely and politely asking questions..I'll allow it...answer the questions please." she said.
The two Homicide detectives were not used to being questioned like this, to being under the spotlight...They came off as being very unsure......
Olivia with Josie and Bresha continued to question them about how they "discovered"the gun in George Lancaster's trunk...
They said they got an anonymous tip....and that frequently anonymous tips have helped them solve many a homicide...
Nelson produced a cell phone...
"Your anonymous tip came from this, a smartphone....an untraceable "burner phone" that we have found belonged to Joseph Teegan...The late Joseph Teegan , who was a former car thief...He knew the gun was in Mr. Lancaster's trunk because he more than likely placed it there and then called you." said Nelson.
"SPECULATION....SPECULATION!!! YOU HAVE NO PROOF OF THIS!" screamed ADA Danny Master's who was watching his carefully stitched case come apart in the seam...These guys had really prepared and prepared well he mused.
Alvin Schwartz was called to testify....He said that he and George Lancaster had dinner and drinks and he had to tell him that he didn't make partner...That Samuel Knopf had voted him down...He said he went into a rage after that...and to calm him down they went to a strip club...but he was still in a rage..
"That's a lie, a bold faced lie...I was not in a rage and I didn't even want to go to that strip club...It was a horrible, smelly place." snarled Geore Lancaster...
''Don't Worry...We got you covered..." said Beverly.
"What time did you two part ways?" asked Olivia..
"I left at about 12:30, He left at around 9:00...He was angry because I told him that Samuel Knoph voted against hin being a partner...According to our by laws it has to be unanimous."said Alvin Schwartz..
"You didn't bother to tell him that YOU VOTED AGAINST HIM BEING PARTNER TOO! Did you?" said Beverly...
"That's not true....How do you know how we voted?" Schwartz snarled, now turning beat red...
Bresha presented notes from their meeting..
"All of your employees aren't intimidated by you....One who refuses to be named ,gave our investigator confidential notes of the partners meeting." said Bresha.
"It appears you and Mr. Knoph voted against Mr. Lancaster being partners....Partner Knotz was the only partner that DID vote in favor of Mr. Lancaster becoming partner....Either you lied to him or you left your vote out..."said Josie..
"The detectives said you had an alibi.....and we checked... People remember you in that bar...but your credit card records show you left also at 9:30 and returned at 11:30...and stayed until 12:30....You got gas in your car and you made a late night call to this very burner phone ,belonging to Joe Teegan..."said Nelson...
Mr. Schwartz was a s red as a beet...We had caught him in several lies and inconsistancies and now his solid alibi didn't look so solid..The worst was yet to come...
Without the jury present...ADA Masters gave oral arguments as to why we shouldn't be able to question Alvin Schwartz as our witness , since he was already a witness for the prosecution...
"They had ample time to question him...what more could they want?"? he asked... They had damaged his case enough...He had to try and tidy up the mess that had been made.
Olivia, Beverly, Nelson, Josie and Bresha argued ,using predicates, past cases and laws stating that they indeed could call him as a "Hostile Witness" , even if he was a witness for the prosecution.
Judge Julia Bruton was impressed with their preparation....
She ruled in our favor...said we could call Schwartz as a hostile witness for the defense..
"Excellent, Excellent Lawyering." said George Lancaster to me..
"They all work very hard." I said.
''Yes they do...and very well." said George Lancaster.
A Day later, we began our defense..
Alvin Schwartz was furious...Furious at being a defense witness....It was clear he was trying to bury our client.
"Do you know Joseph Teegan?" asked Olivia.
"He's an old client of mine. I haven't seen or talked to him in years ." he said dryly...
"You represented him three times....all on car theft charges....All three times you were able to get him off on a technicality...." said Beverly...
"When he got a job working at a Food Processing Center, a recomendation from you ,got him a good paying position in the Union and when his son got hooked on drugs...You got him in a rehab center.."said Nelson.
"You knew him from your early days of being an attorney....You had moved on , established your own firm, become a well to do man and you still kept up with this man.....This man so far from your past." said Josie.
''He was a friend."said Alvin Schwartz.
''Something's been bothering me about this entire case...You say my client was in a rage after you told him that Samuel Knoph was the one who voted against him right?" asked Olivia.
"That's right...he was inconsolable. He wanted that partnership very badly...He had campaigned for it for about a year.."said Alvin Schwartz...
"He's lying....I was angry, but not in a rage.." protested George Lancaster.."Plus he never told me who voted against me....I guessed it was Samuel Knoph...but he never confirmed.." he said.
"Shhhhhhhhhh,We got this..." said Beverly...
"Just relax." I said.
"How did my client, Mr. Lancaster know Mr. Knoph was at your loft in bed with your wife?? I mean if he went to Mr. Knoph's home to confront him I could understand...but he went to your home...... Why would he do that? You made 26 calls to your wife's cell phone from 3:00 pm- 9::30pm....Judging by the times here on this phone record...She never answered..."said Olivia.
"Here is a crime scene photo ....Her phone was on the charger....For obvious reasons...She was busy."said Bresha..
The entire courtroom erupted into loud raucous laughter...
"Your former client got a windfall.. 25 large, just one week after the double murder...We subpoenaed him and were going to ask him where he got all of that money....Only....he was murdered....How convenient , for you.....You know what I think?...I think you killed your wife and your partner....Everybody knew he was sleeping with her behind your back....I think you paid known car thief and your former client, Joe Teegan to plant that gun in the trunk.... Once Subpoened , Joe Teegan got nervous...He didn't want to go back to jail or get into any trouble with the law...he became a liability and he had to go. UNFORTUNATELY it is all speculation...so I have to rest my case here....but I hope the jury sees that there is REASONABLE DOUBT here...a lot of it.. The Defense rests." said Olivia.
"It's Friday....This case goes to the jury...We'll reconvene on Monday Morning...Attorneys, Jurors be on time and be ready to continue the trial.."said Judge Bruton...
SATURDAY MORNING...
It was Laundry Day-
We took over a tony laundromat across town.. and we brought a catered Breakfast and Lunch....
Pillow cases, Bed spreads, Sheets, Panties, Bras, Boxer Shorts, Undershirts...Blouses, shirts all filled the washing machines.. As we all helped ourselves to a catered breakfast and lunch..
Some of the guys watched Baseball and Basketball on Television, while the women folk mostly talked.
"I hate when a trial ends on Friday without a verdict."said Olivia.
"It's okay....you guys were fantastic..Masters knows he lost the jury....He knew it before you even began your defense." I said.
"George Lancaster thought so too." laughed Beverly.
"Yeah, he was real impressed with us." said Nelson..
"You don't have to worry about him anymore baby...You've graduated from law school in the top five percent of your class and you got a lot of sound legal minds around you that are going to make sure you pass the bar.and become a fine lawyer...Even he said that." said Josie.
"He said that?" asked Paris.
"He did!" said Bresha.
"High Praise indeed." said Tony.
"Stop looking at my underwear....you've seen me in all of these pieces anyway.."said Alfreda as she loaded the washing machine.. "Go fix me a plate..." she commanded and laughed.
Rockland laughed devilishly and went and fixed two plates.
Yvette and Gary had all of their clothes in the washing machines...and were already sitting down eating breakfast...
"You know ,usually I hate going to the laundromat..., but this is fun....We have food....We can watch sports on television and talk and it takes your mind off of the drudgery of washing and folding clothes."said Gary.
"In law school , the fopur of us used to buy sandwiches and do our laundry together.. just like this almost." said Keith Jones.
"Yeah, every other Saturday we did this...This is just on a much larger scale." said Bee Bee.
''A Bigger Better laundromat..More people ,more friends...More fun..."said Sofia.
''We even did this when we lived in our apartment."said Kahlil.
"I lived across the street...I used to go with you...They had washing machines and dryers in the basement of their building.. We would sit on the rooftop in the summer and drink and talk, waiting for our clothes to dry in the Summer time..It was fun."said Jade.
"You guys are so close knit...You did a lot together." said Danny Ho.
"And they still do...They fit into this larger group just perfectly.."said Virginia, glad to be a part of this big group of friends.
She and Jetty and the others were sitting around the table eating breakfast while the clothes washed.
"I miss not going to the NO I.D. Bar for Brunch today, but we needed a day like today...I had a ton of laundry to do." said Jazzy...
"You and me both and I've got some dry cleaning to pick up too!" said her husband, Dabnis.
"That makes two of us." said Kayla.
"Yeah me too!" said Ray.
"We get a lot of work done today...." said Jessica..
''Sure do!" agreed her husband, Chip...
"I remember when I lived a few blocks from here and I joined you guys once...It feels different living on the same block with you guys and riding up here on the buses." said Karen.
"Yeah it does." says B.L.
Natalie fixed her husband David a plate of food and herself one and sat next to him at the big table while their clothes washed...
David smiled at her as he ate his food.
Brooke did the same for her husband....
She sat on David's lap as they ate...He had a pleased as punch look on his face...
'Wow , most of us work in the same building daily and we all hang out together on the weekends.. I love this." said Zoey...
"Yeah I love it too!" said Lem.
"We have quite the community." said Renee...
"Yeah quite."agreed her husband, Tyrell.
as "Laundry day" continued.
IV-
MONDAY MORNING- We were at the courthouse waiting to see if the jury came to a decision today...It had been all weekend....
Olivia was in the judges chambers fixing her hair and applying make up.. I walked in...
"I'm pretty sure they'll come in with a decision in a few hours.." I said with a smile.
"We can only hope. Why are you in here? What do you want? You could have waited until I came out to say that...." she whispered, smiling..
"Yeah I could have." I said.
I took her in my arms and kissed her passionately...
"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...I know what you want...You always want it..We've got to be careful...We aren''t home you know..Anyone could walk in on us." she moaned..
She slowly and descretely ran her hands down my leg, felt my erection and squeezed it a little bit....Her eyes grew wide and she looked at me...she smiled..
She looked down at my trousers...My pants were sticking out like a circus tent. She looked at me again...put her hand over her mouth and giggled...
"WOW!" she said..
I stared at her...
"The Judge hasn't even arrived yet...We are very early you know." I said.
She smiled. I reached up under her dress...
"You really want some don't you? Poor thing." she laughed..
I slipped her panties down....
There was no resistance from her..She was very quiet and unusually submissive.
I lifted her up and placed her on the dresser , spread her legs and slowly entered her...still kissing her passionately...
Olivia as usual began to tremble something fierce....her head turned from side to side and tears flowed down her face....She was crying tears of joy I suppose..Having an intense orgasm..
I knew we couldn't be in here for long...but I just had to have her....
I turned her around, spread her legs and entered her doggie style...
."UMMMMMMMMMMM OLIVIA..." I moaned.
It was followed by another orgasm..
"OH I LOVE YOU DONNIE RAY!" she cried out..
"OH I LOVE YOU TOO!! I LOVE YOU TOO!" I moaned..
OLIVIA HAD ANOTHER QUICK ORGASM....
"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she cried out!
We made love for ANOTHER HOUR!
I lifted her up, spread her legs and entered her again....She wrapped her legs around my waste and held on to me for dear life...her body trembling....tears flowing down the side of her face...
Olivia once again began to tremble something fierce....her head turned from side to side and tears flowed down her face...
"OH MY GODDDD!" she cried out.. having a third intense orgasm....."OUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she cried out...as I let her down.....
Nothing like a courtroom quickie..
Olivia stared at me...
she slipped her panties back on...
She gave me a slow sweet kiss that seemed to linger.....
Afterword, Olivia and I emerged from the Judges Chambers...
Beverly took a disinfectant wipe and wiped her aunt's lipstick off the lapel of my jacket and off my face.. She didn't say anything, she just smiled.
"I brought you all coffee's " said Josie , who along with Bresha had tumblers of hot coffee.
"We found a Coffee Shop around the corner from the courthouse." said Bresha.
It was nice to be able to sit and drink our coffee without Lt. Tragg in our faces pontificating about the trial and how wrong we were for defending our client... These past two weeks in Bayside had been so nice. Co-Operative police....The works..
"Oh Thank you...Just what I need.."said Olivia, taking a coffee...
"Just what I need too! " I said as I took mine..
Nelson walked up after awhile..He was with our client..
"The Jury is back with a verdict.." he said.
"Good let's get this farce over with.."said George Lancaster...
We all entered the courtroom...
"Has the Jury come to a decision?" asked Judge Julia Bruton...
"We have your honor." said the jury foreman...
"Bailiff, bring me the decision." she said.
He did..and she read it...Without betraying any emotions...She passed it back to him.
"Read it." she said softly...
"COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA VS. GEORGE LANCASTER, COUNT ONE
FIRST DEGREE MURDER, SYLVIA SCHWARTZ, WE FIND THE DEFENDENT, NOT GUILTY!
COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA VS. GEORGE LANCASTER, COUNT TWO,
FIRST DEGREE MURDER, SAMUEL KNOPH, WE FIND THE DEFENDENT, NOT GUILTY!
Olivia and Beverly leaped into the air, high fived each other and shouted.. "WHOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEE!!" in jubilation...
"Well thank the lord, it's over....I'm free of that foolishness." said George Lancaster, breathing a sigh of relief..
"I knew we could get you off...I just feel bad I didn't get enough information on Schwartz to put him away...I'm one hundred percent certain he killed his wife and his partner and Joseph Teegan too!"I said.
"That's alright, snakes like him often get what's coming to them.."said George Lancaster..
ADA Frank Masters was not at all happy losing a high profile case like this...He grumbled incessantly...
"Gotdamn Outside lawyers....Who brought them in on this? I'll bet it was Britt Reid...to make me look bad... OUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I'd better not find out he had anything to do with this.." he grumbled.
"So what will you do now Mr. Lancaster?" asked Josie.
"I've turned in my resignation from that law firm....I can't work for a firm like that....It was clear no one there liked me...Not one person vouched for me or stood up for me...Not even people I thought were my friends...I'm going to teach law at Middleton Law School full time and perhaps I'll align myself with another law firm..." he said.
"Someone of your stature shouldn't have a hard time at all finding a new law firm." said Bresha.
"They'll be fortunate to have you." said Nelson...
"Thank you...Thank you all...Olivia, I'm forever in your debt....If I can ever do anything for you guys, any of you...Just let me know.."said a happy George Lancaster.."And tell my secret benefactor, I also said thank you....Goodbye for now." said George Lancaster, walking away, a free man...Exonerated.
"You know...He wasn't so bad after all." said Olivia.
"No he wasn't." I said, smiling.
"You know...I wonder if he knows who paid our fee and who brought us in...?" asked Beverly...
"Nahhh, I don't think he knew.." said Nelson.
"Somehow, I think that sly fox does know...I mean it's the only friend he has in this town."said Josie.
Bresha laughed......
"Come on guys...let's go home." said Olivia.
EPILOUGE-
It would take a month but attorney Alvin Schwartz was arrested and charged with the murders of partner, Samuel Knoph, his wife, Sylvia Schwartz and of Joe Teegan....He was convicted of all three murders , disbarred and sentenced to three life sentences with no parole...
With only one partner left, George Lancaster was offered a partnership in the firm...He declined. He continues to teach law at Middleton Law School
and has opened a small private firm of his own..
Ironically enough, he hired Jolene Wells as his Associate Attorney and she still lives in Bayside and works with him....
We were all in Josie's tonight....
And as usual...it was packed..
''So glad to hear you got a job Jolene...I'm just surprised at who it is with.." said Olivia.
''Yeah...I'm very surprised myself..Mr. Lancaster came by my office, he apologized for being so short with me....He said I had impeccable qualifications....He didn't know I got my J.D. from Harvard, like he did.. and he offered me a job with his private firm...He's hired three students at Middleton to be para-legals and we are looking for an Office manager...We are coming along..We've rented office space in a building across the street from the courthouse."said Jolene Wells.
"That's a perfect place for it...I guess we wore off on him..."said Beverly.
"It's been awhile since I've partied with you guys...Thanks for letting us stay with you guys tonight." said Nina Rios.
"Oh it's no problem...Niceness always wins out.." said Olivia.
"I think so." I said..
I gave Olivia a sweet kiss.
"This is soooo relaxing..." said Beverly...
"We are home tonight...It's a nice night...We can walk home..." said Nelson.
"We had a nice happy ending." said Josie.
"And there is no better place to celebrate than our bar..."JOSIE'S" said Paris, laying back...
"I agree...we are guaranteed a peaceful night."said Bresha.
"The last two times we were in Curley's was pretty peaceful..."said Tony...
"Yeah they were.. One time Lt. Tragg wasn't there at all...the other time...He was all wrapped up in that woman, he didn't even notice us." said Alfreda.
''Well from what I hear...He's still wrapped up in her."laughed Rockland.
More drinks arrived...
"I'm glad to hear you got a job Jolene...and you're office is right across the street from the courthouse too!" said Yvette.
"Yes." said Jolene.
"That's a good place for your office.." laughed Gary.
''Very Strategic."said Keith Jones...
"Next Saturday, we'll all be in Bayside to travel to the mall, hang out at out favorite bar and go roller skating." said Bee Bee.
"You should meet us there."said Sofia.
"We'd love to see your new apartment too!" said Kahlil.
"That would be great...I'd love to hang out with you guys." said Jolene.
''We'll bring Nina with us." said Jade.
"Thank You...I really didn't feel like driving." said Nina.
"You can ride with us...We'll pick you up after Brunch at NO I.D. " said Danny.
"It'll be a great Day Trip." said Virginia..
"Sounds like it'll be a lot of fun" said Jetty.
Sissy and her detectives were also there tonight...
''Olivia, Yvette it's soo nice to see you guys in here tonight.. I'm used to seeing you guys only on Sunday at Super Brunch."laughed Sissy.
"It feels good to be in here tonight..."said Olivia.
"This is like Homecoming to us." said Yvette.
"I know...It feels like it for us too..We are so busy fighting crime...We hardly have the energy to come out for a night of enjoyment." said Carlotta.
''Well I'm glad we are out tonight..We all needed this."said Tyriq.
"I sure did." said Jimmy.
"You guys were in Bayside ...We read about it in the papers." said Sirena.
"And we were busy bringing down another Crime Kingpin." said Hop.
"Speaking of Which Donnie Ray....We heard you helped catch a double murderer out in Bayside." said Duke.
"Wow! You did their work, just like you do Lt. Tragg's work here in Philly." laughed Angie.
"There is a difference." said Danny.
"The difference is...The Bayside Coppers didn't blow me off, they co-operated with me and we kind of solved the crime together...Nothing like Lt. Tragg ,who refuses to co-operate at all." I said.
''We don't see him around much....That Judge he's been bopping around with has his nose wide open and takes up a lot of his time."laughed Gary.
"I wonder how long we can depend on that...Him and Her..?" asked Sharon.
"Well it's been going on longer than I expected." said Keith Wallace.
"Maybe they'll get married and he'll retire."laughed Eddie C.
"Hope Springs Eternal." laughed Hazel.
''So Jolene, you've got a new job and a new apartment....When are we going to hear about a new man?" asked Jazzy.
"Well I've got three guys trying to date me presently...Two Attorneys and a Detective..."said Jolene..
"Go ahead Hot Stuff..."laughed Dabnis...
''Good for you Jolene...Take your time...You don't have to decide too soon." said Kayla.
"Listen to Dear Abby here." laughed her husband, Ray...
"I'm Happy for you Jolene..."said Jessica.
"I am too, I wish you much success."said Ray...
"Thank You!" said Jolene.
"Congratulations!" said Karen...
"Here come the refills." said B.L.
More Drinks arrived......
"Mmmmmmmm Just in time...I was geting thirsty."said Natalie..
''Me too!"said David.
"That makes four of us."said Brooke.
''Yes." said Sean.
"Josie's was always the main place to hang out...Even before I lived in this neighborhood."said Zoey..
"For Sure." said Lem.
"I'm so Happy for you Jolene." said Renee.
"Thank you Renee'...it's been a long time coming."said Jolene..
"The best things always are..." said Tyrell.
Indeed! It was a warm, beautiful night.... Olivia and I stood outside Josie's....
Enjoying a soft, sweet kiss...The Best things were indeed a long time coming.
