We were at a hot new restaurant...

The Baked Potatoes were loaded with hot butter, just melting over...

And there was lovely salads to go with all of our meals...

"Thank you for inviting us to this place Ms. Yvette...We have to tell the others about this place." I said.

I am Keith Jones, Attorney at law.

"Oh you guys more than deserve this....We had a very good year...Winning cases and not to mention, saving the partners from having to pay out that big lawsuit." said Ms. Yvette, our boss...

"Wowwwwww! The food is delicious Ms. Yvette." said my wife, Bee Bee, Beatrice Evans-Jones, also an Attorney at Law at our firm...

"Thank you for this....Fine Dining, I couldn't even imagine just awhile ago...when I was a student at Girls High, dreaming of being a lawyer." said Sofia Garcia-Ahmed, My wife's best friend and also an attorney at our firm.

"I knew I'd be a successful attorney, but not living like this, A Senior Associate at a major law firm, my own office and eating high off the hog like this."laughed our colleague and friend, Kahlil Ahmed, Sofia's husband.

"Me neither to tell you the truth..."laughed Ms. Yvette...our supervisor and handler... She had hand picked the four of us...Graduates of PENN LAW, like her..She mentored us and groomed us and molded us four into fine lawyers... and when she made partner.,...She took the four of us with her to the building we are currently in. Got us offices of our own and promoted to Senior Associates...

"Everything is delicious.I love the ambience of this place.." said MS. Jade, our investigator, a former Tokyo Detective who moved to the United States...We helped her get her citizenship and she came to work for us as our investigator...

"Thank you for inviting me to this Yvette." said Virginia Shaw Dukes...The last member of our team..

Once a big time Attorney herself....She got into a little trouble that earned her seven years in prison and disbarment. Upon her release...Ms. Yvette hired her as our Office manager and consultant...Though she didn't practice in court...Her vast legal knowledge often helped us and our friends..The same way she helped several of her fellow inmates in prison..This Kept her close to the law.

"You're part of the team too Virginia....You all are...I wouldn't be as successful as I am without any of you....I love you all." said Yvette... " And the best part of all of this is that our meals are paid in full by McCluskey/Cozen/Connor and Pratt." said Ms. Yvette.

"YAYYYYYYYYYYY!" the four of us cheered...

Ms. Jade and Ms. Virginia smiled and clapped.....

"Love my squad." said Ms. Yvette..

As we enjoyed a night of fine dining......

Unknown to us...in the parking lot, across the street from where we were dining...A Murder had occurred.

"He took two shots to the back of the head and one to the abdomen...Death was instantaneous...He never knew what hit him."said a Crime Scene Investigator.

"He was shot with a .22 caliber slug....His body is still warm...He's only been dead about thirty minutes."said Dr. Hazel Baylor...

"Anybody see any spent shells?" asked Dr. Marcy Martin (nee Templeton)

""We have his drivers license and a Bar association card....He's a lawyer....His name is...." said a Homicide Detective...

"Jerry Nelson.....He's a New York Attorney...He's a colleague of mine." said Michael Pratt, one of our Partners..

"Who are you?" asked Lt. Tragg....

"I'm Mike Pratt, I'm an Attorney also....a Partner at McCluskey/Cozen/Connor and Pratt. Mr. Nolan was an associate of mine...I came here to meet with him." said Mike Pratt.

"Meet with him about what?" asked Lt. Tragg.

"I don't know....He called me...Said it was urgent...but by the time I got here...I found him like this and I called you guys." said Mike Pratt.

"McCluskey/Cozen/Connor and Pratt. That's the law firm Yvette Jones-Lockwood works for.....Isn't it?" asked Lt. Tragg.

"Yes..She's also a Partner...a Managing Partner... If I'm not mistaken, there she is...She and her staff were dining here tonight." he said.

Just then, we were all exiting the restaurant...

"WOWWWWWWW! WHAT HAPPENED HERE? Hi MIKE!" said Ms. Yvette..

"Hey Guys...Apparently there has been a shooting....A Guy I know.....Hope you all enjoyed your meals."said Mike Pratt.

"Oh wowwww, we enjoyed our meals immensely." I said.

"Yesssssssss...." said Bee Bee..

"Thank you guys for paying for this..We really enjoyed ourselves..."said Sofia.

"Yes..we really did." said Kahlil.

"Who was the victim? Anybody we know?" asked Jade.

"No he was a colleague of mine from New York....He called me here for a meeting...but when I got here..He was dead, Shot to death." said Mike Pratt.

"Oh Myyyy, Never a dull moment in the big city."said Virginia.

"Nobody saw or heard anything Lieutenant...This looks like a professional hit." said one of the homicide detectives.

"Mr. Pratt,I'm going to need you to come downtown with me for some questioning...The rest of you...Get out of here.... Bag him and tag him boys." said Lt. Tragg..

We piled into Jade's Pathfinder and headed home.

The Body of the dead man was put in a body bag, strapped to a gurney and made ready for shipment to the morgue.

Like Ms. Virginia said....Never a dull moment in the big city.

That night-

We had all come home after a night out! All of us full.,and all of us horny as hell. We were all settled down with our significant others.. What better way to spend a warm winter night than to be making love.?

"Thick Steaks Huh?" asked Dabnis.

I motioned with my thumb and forefinger..-"This thick man." I said.

"And Delicious!" added Kahlil.

"Ouuu sounds like a spot we all should go to in the future." said Kayla.

"Yeah."said her husband, Ray.

"We were just saying that last night." said Bee Bee.

"Yes, you all would love it!" said Sofia.

"Sounds like you all had a good time."said Jessica.

'The Only negative thing was...Somebody was shot and killed in the parking lot across the street from where we were eating....We didn't see it or hear it...We caught the tail end of it when we were leaving to go home."said Jade.

"Oh Wow! Well glad you guys weren't involved."said Chip.

"One of the partners from our firm knew the dead guy...A lawyer from New York."said Virginia.

"I saw it on the news this morning....His name was Jerry Nelson...A flamboyant New York City Defense Attorney." said her husband, Jetty.

"New York? What was he doing here in Philly?" asked Karen.

"God Only knows." said Ms. Yvette.

"Hmmm sounds like it would be an interesting story for "HARD BOTTOM" If I didn't have to deal with Arthur Tragg, I'd follow up on it."said B.L.

"We can't have things every way we want it."laughed Natalie.

"He was on the Marine Boat for two weeks after his last trial...I'm sure he's eager to get back in the swing of things." said David.

"I'm just glad we don't have to deal with him." said Brooke.

"That's how we feel....He was out there last night..."said Bee Bee.

"He question what you were doing there?" asked Sean..

"Nah, he could see we were out dining...."said Sofia.

"Well that's a relief." said Zoey.

"You said one of your firms partners was out there...Did he question him?" asked Lem.

"Yeah, he took him in for questioning....I hope he's alright...He knew the guy...The dead guy." I said.

"They were supposed to be meeting there for something, but when he got there , he found him dead...Shot to death...So he called the police."said Kahlil.

"I hope he doesn't wind up being charged with the murder..."said Renee.

"Yeah, you know how Lt. Tragg is." said her husband, Tyrell.

"Yeah, he always takes the easy way out." said Paris.

"Yeah , the wrong way..."said Tony...

Lee giggled at Paris and Tony's remarks....

"Your giggle is sooo cute." said Matthew,.

Her husband, Carlos, smiled.

After Breakfast, we chilled out in our conference room.

"I am a little worried ab out Mike Pratt....You know how when Lt. Tragg takes someone downtown for questioning they wind up being indicted for something."said Yvette.
