Former Homicide Detective, Now ADA Bill Swift sat in his office and looked at the dossiers on us..

He was quite pleased with himself.. He had won 25 straight prosecutions since passing the bar recently...

He had graduated from  Univeristy of Pennsylvania Law school two years before Olivia Bennett-Alexander, Yvette Jones-Lockwood and Karen Page....but could not pass the bar exam!..He had failed it a record five times and had instead gone to the police academy, become a cop and then a Homicide Detective.

He took a chance and studied for it again...and this time , he passed with flying colors.. He had taken and passed the New Jersey, New York and Deleware State Bar exams  since then... He felt pretty damn good about himself. He turned in his gold shield and accepted a job in the D.A.'s Office. He was quite pleased with himself.. He was what he had always wanted to be...A Lawyer.

He had a special guest this morning, Lt. Arthur Tragg, the arresting officer...Once his supervisor....Now the roles had been reversed kind of...

"Billy Swift, what do ya know? What do ya say huh?   Now you're a big time Assistant D.A.  Hey I heard you won your first 25 cases,,,Nice eh?" said a happy Lt. Tragg.

The two men enjoyed  hot steaming cups of coffee.

Lt. Tragg looked at our dossiers..

"Yeah, Vettie and her snot nosed youngins...They're the defense attorneys in this case... You know them? I see they all attended PENN, just like you." said Lt. Tragg.

"I know Yvette...I've known her for years....She was a Freshman at PENN LAW , the year I graduated....I don't know her young associates...but I've seen them around over the years...Looks like she hand picked them...They're all from PENN LAW and they all appear to have known one another while in law school.. Them notwithstanding... This case...That anonymous tip you got that lead you to the scalpel in Cherry's kitchen....It does seem rather odd that she'd murder somebody and leave the murder weapon on her kitchen floor for a week, without trying to wash the blood off of it and conceal it or toss it.. And who would know it was there and what had been done with it??  It all seems too good to be true...Like a plant..A Red Herring... I need you to look into that Artie and look into this Susan Hyland charactor...The broad that sued the hospital...The Doc made 124 calls to her after the operation." said Bill Swift.

"Yeah the good doctor was afraid of a big law suit...after he butchered her...He was probably trying to persuade her not to do it."said Lt. Tragg..

"Get this....After she got the 2.5 million pay day.. He called her 23 times and she called him 13 times, including the day before he was murdered....Now what would they have to talk about? She sued and she got her money...I just need you to check it out Artie." said William Swift.

"Come on Billy you're barking up the wrong tree....There is no Red Herring here...Brenda Cherry had a loud argument with him just four days before he was murdered...She had a motive..He fired her and blackballed her....She's the only one of the four women he was mixed up with that doesn't have a credible alibi...She's your killer..I just handed you an easy case.Take the win."said Lt. Tragg..

His phone rang....

It was a Text from Kelly Ann....Her plane had landed...She was back from Alabama... She had been gone for two weeks...He'd missed her..

"Gotta go Billy....Take it easy." he said.

William Swift just looked at him and shook his head.

"How Did he get to be Lieutenant?" he thought.

II-

We were back at the Bohemian Coffee shop we had visited after we had won our big litigation.....
 

They had Jenga blocks on the tables and Kahlil and I were involved in another spirited game while we waited on our coffees..

"I got you homeslice...You're goin down with the next block." said Kahlil.

"Don't count on that...I've been playin this game for years...Goes back to when I was at Howard,,,There..take that." I said.

"Look at them both...like two little boys." said my wife, Bee Bee, smiling..

She and Sofia were playing a quiet game of Jenga themselves.

"Two cute little boys."laughed Sofia.

Ms. Yvette sat at a seperate table awaiting Susan Hyland..

"You think she'll show up Jade?" asked Ms. Yvette..

"She'll show up.." said Jade.

Our hot tumblers of coffee arrived.

And just like that, Susan Hyland walked in...She looked like she had been assigned this case from Central Casting...Young,Beautiful, Blonde and seemingly unaffected by the entire world..

She walked over to Yvette and Jade's table....

Jade passed her a tumbler of coffee, some creamers , some sugar and a stirrer.

"Hello Ms. Hyland.." she said.

"Hello...Thank you for the coffee....So....You're the attorneys defending the young lady accused of murdering Dr. Bauer huh?"she asked as she sipped her coffee.

"That's right..."said Yvette.

"I didn't think she could afford an Attorney....She had been out of work." said Susan Hyland dismissively...

"She's a childhood friend... I'm taking her case Pro Bono." said Yvette.

"Ohhhh how lucky for her!"said Susan Hyland.

''Speaking of Luck....You just walked away with 2.5 million dollars after taxes...and you only had to lose a kidney for it huh?" said Yvette.

''I wouldn't call that luck Mrs. Lockwood." said Susan Hyland..

"You and the Doctor talked a lot on the phone...In fact he made 124 calls...124 calls to your cell phone in the days after your discharge from the hospital...up until you went to court and won your settlement.That's a lot of calls Ms. Hyland."said Ms. Yvette.

"Oh he bugged me to death...Reccomending Kidney specialists who could help me learn to live with one kidney, and at one point reccomending donors for another kidney if I would like..He didn't want me to sue the hospital...A Malpractice suit is the last thing a Doctor like him, of his stature would want." said Susan Hyland...

"Hmmmmm well after you won the suit, He called you an additional 23 times ....and you called him 13 times , including a call made the night before he died...What more did you have to talk about?" asked Ms. Yvette.

Susan's mood changed completely...."You're all up in my business...Monitoring my phone calls...What if I tell you what we talked about is none of your business...?" she snarled.

"Well, you could say that....but when it comes to defending my client, who was wrongly accused and framed...I'd say it is very much my business." said Yvette.

"That would be for a jury to decide....I have nothing to do with any of this..If all you have is phone calls..You have little to nothing". she said snidely.

"There was several pairs of ladies panties and bras in a drawer at his house...They weren't clean...The DNA was traced to three other women, Three other women who weren't aware of each other.,They all had solid alibis.   There was one pair that wasn't traced to any of them...That pair is your size and had the scent of a perfume you wear...I think they were yours..."said Jade.

"Oh My God!   For your information...I don't leave my panties behind in a man's apartment...Boyyy

you guys are really something....Phone calls and Ladies underwear...Wowwwww!" she said with a snide grin.

"Dr. Bauer made two calls to your insurance company the day he died...He was unsucessful talking to who he wanted to talk to the first time...but the second time he was successful.. And then you got a call from the insurance company....

You know what I think Ms. Hyland??  I think you two were in this together...You two planned this whole botched operation thing to get some money from the hospital or the insurance company...It just happened that the hospital folded first. 

I think you two  were supposed to split the money..but you got greedy or you got mad ,finding all of those panties and bras in his apartment that didn't belong to you and after you killed him...You framed my friend, who everyone ,including you knew he'd fired and had had a loud argument with him just days before..That's what I think. It was perfect!" said Yvette.

"Oh is that what you think? Nice Story...but I DON'T THINK you can't prove a bit of it...Thanks for the coffee...Good Luck in your trial ladies." she said.

"Oh before you go...This is for you...It's called a subpoena , A court summons if you will. You can tell us how much this is a made up story that we can't prove in court." said Sofia, passing her a subpoena.

She stomped her foot and angrilly stormed out of the coffee shop with the subpoena in hand..

She had left her coffee cup behind... Bee Bee grabbed it and put it in a plastic bag....

"Here you go Ms. Jade, all ready for the DNA Lab....Tell Dr. Goggins we said Hi."laughed Kahlil.

"Here are the panties. The saliva from that coffee cup and the DNA from these panties should prove to be a match." I said.

"Good ,I'll get these to Dr. Goggins Lab!" said Jade.

"She's a snide little tart....I want to wipe that snide smirk off of her face."said Ms. Yvette.

"Let's pay for these coffees and get out of here." she said.

III-

AT PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT-

Judge Kelly Ann Mercer was returning from Alabama... She had been gone for Two Weeks..

"Hi Arthur...Did you Miss Me? I missed you." she said.

"OH BABY YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH I MISSED YOU." said Lt. Tragg..He took her in his arms and kissed her passionately...

"Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu  you really did miss me...OUUUUUUUUUUUU  You're so hard/" she cooed, feeling the crotch area of his trousers.... "OHHHHHHH MYYY YOU ARE HARD!" she exclaimed and laughed.

"I've got a boner for you that won't quit." said Lt. Tragg.

"Ummmmmmm I can feel it.OUUUUUUUUU! Yes you doooooo...OUUUUUUU" she cooed.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHH BABY, I MISSED YOU!" he moaned..continuing to kiss her passionately over in the baggage claim corner.

"Well take me home and show me." she laughed..

"Awwwwwww lawwwwwd!" he moaned....

"You are soooo horny! Always so horny!" she laughed.

They raced to her loft......Where she didn't unpack...She put her two suitcases down in the corner....

"ARTHURRRRRR!" she cooed, taking him in her arms....

"KELLY ANNNNNE!" he moaned..

"OHHHHHHHHHH I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" said Lt. Tragg.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I MISSED YOU TOO!! I'M AS HORNY AS A CAT IN HEAT!" she moaned.

Her lipstick smudge was all over his face and on his suit jacket.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Lt. Tragg moaned.

Kelly Ann stripped out of her clothes... kicked her heels off and allowed Lt. Tragg to unsnap her bra and slip her panties down... He was nearly delirious!! Her legs were shaking...

."UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...OUUUUU ARTHUR PUT IT IN...PUT ALL OF IT IN ME NOWWWWWWW!!!!!..OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" she cried out..both of her legs shaking furiously.

He laid her across the bed, spread her legs wide open...Her legs were shaking...She was sweating profusely...

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW SWEET BABY!" moaned Lt. Tragg, he didn't know if he was coming or going...

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU ARTHUR, PUT IT IN...OUUUUUUUU PUT IT ALL IN...

OUUUUUUU HOOOOOO HOOOO HOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO! UMMMMMMMM!" she cooed.

She opened her legs wider as he slid in...She was so wet...he couldn't believe it...She wrapped her arms around his neck...She wrapped her legs around his waist as he thrusted away...

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM SWEET LAWWWWD!" she moaned....Once again..Her head began to turn from side to side...Her entire body began to tremble something fierce and she began to cry like a little girl...

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LAWWWWWD KELLY ANN, OUUUUUUUUUUU GIRRRRRL!" he moaned....

The bed began to squeak loudly and the headboard began to crash against the wall......

"Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu  you really did miss me...OUUUUUUUUUUUU  You're so hard/" she cooed, as he thrusted away...... "OHHHHHHH MYYY YOU ARE HARD!UMMMMMMMMMMM" she exclaimed and laughed.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU ARTHUR!" she cooed

"KELLY ANNNNNNNNNNNNN, MY WORD!" he said....

"IS IT GOOD TO YOU? IS IT GOOD TO YOU BABY?" she yelled to the top of her lungs..

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWW, AWWWWWWWWW LAWWWD YESSSSSSSSSS!" he cried out..

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU....UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPH!IS IT GOOD TO YOU? IS IT GOOD TO YOU BABY? IT'S GOOD TO MEEEEEEEE!!!!" she moaned.

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW..LAWWWWWWWWWDDDD! YES!! YESSSSSS!" he moaned

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU GIVE ME THAT MONSTER!!! OH MY GODDDD!! YOU ARE HUGE!!! AND SO DAMN HARRRRD!! OUUUUUUUU! ARTHUR ,GIVE IT TO ME!!" she cooed.Her whole body trembled something fierce..

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW BABYYYYYYYYYY!" he yelled....

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I'M ABOUT TO CUM!!!! OHHHHHHHHHH!" she screamed....

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM  girrrrrrrrrrrlll! " he moaned.

THEY MADE LOVE FOR THE NEXT  NINE TO TEN HOURS!

''She's back! Hear that?" said Attorney Elaine Young..standing outside the loft for a breath of fresh air.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU GIVE ME THAT MONSTER!!! OH MY GODDDD!! YOU ARE HUGE!!! AND SO DAMN HARRRRD!! OUUUUUUUU! ARTHUR ,GIVE IT TO ME!!" she cooed.Her whole body trembled something fierce.. 

They could hear this outside.

"OH MY GOD!!! LISTEN  to that! That bed sounds like it might come apart...good lawd..He missed her...He really missed her! Oh My God! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! They have been at it for hours...They woke me up from my sleep!" she said ,laughing hysterically.

"Yup! They woke me up too!  I suppose she missed him too!   I know he went batshit crazy the past two weeks.." laughed Judge Charlotte Peterson.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU ARTHUR,  I'M ABOUT TO CUM!!!!  I'M ABOUT TO CUM!!!!OHHHHHHHHHH!" she screamed....

"UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM  girrrrrrrrrrrlll! " he moaned.

"OH MY GODDD! Just CUM THEN! " said Judge Charlotte Peterson..

Attorney Elaine Young cracked up laughing!

While that was going on.....We were all having dinner at Mabel Jenkins Soul Food Joint..Several Blocks away.

We flooded Mabel, Anita and Corabeth's restaurant...They were happy to see all of us. We were happy for all the good Southern Cuisine...

The ten of us sat around one long picnic like table and ate our food and talked.

 

 "We placed our defense right in her lap and of course she denied everything and told us that we couldn't prove anything we said."said Yvette.

"Well if the DNA in the panties and the coffee cup are a match That will prove that they had a relationship outside of the hospital."said Yvette's husband, Gary.

"The Pattern of all of the phone calls proves that too...Nobody calls anybody that much." I said.

"Plus the calls made to her insurance company...."said Bee Bee.

''At Any rate she's going to have to explain all of that."said Sofia.

"She knows we know an awful lot and she probably suspects that we didn't tell her everything we know."said Kahlil.

"I expect her to lawyer up soon." said Jade.

"Oh I know she'll lawyer up soon."said her husband, Danny Ho.

"But you've put her on the defensive....If the jury sees that, you will have created reasonable doubt..."said Virginia.

"It is an interesting plan."said Jetty. 

Olivia and her crew sat at another long picnic like table right behind us....

"Mmmmmmmm the food is soooo good...It's so nice for all of us to come out and eat here tonight." said Olivia.

 

"Yeah...We all rarely eat together during the week like this." said Donnie Ray. It was a Tuesday Night..

"The week goes by and we don't see a lot of our friends until Thursday Nights.."said Beverly.

"And we live right across the street from them."said Nelson.

"Well we all were just in Baltimore together.."said Josie.

"True that!"said Paris.

"This food is sooo good!" said Bresha.

"Yes it is." said her husband, Tony....

"I was happy to see Brenda get out and see other folks. Get some fresh air."said Alfreda.

"I'm sure she was tired of just seeing us."joked her husband, Rockland.

 

"Nooooooo, I've enjoyed your company and happy that Olivia and Beverly put me to work , filing things for them.."said Brenda.

 

"I was a little worried about you...but I knew you were safe with Olivia and company."said Nina Rios.

"We can't wait for you to come back." said Carlos.

Behind them at several of the individual tables was everybody else..

"First time I've driven my car in weeks."said Jazzy.
 

"Yeah , we filled up Mabel's parking lot." said Dabnis.

"My Husband drove...I still haven't driven my car in a few weeks."said Kayla.

"You drive next time."said Ray.

"Ummm this food is good...I could get used to this." said Jessica.

"Next time we go on a date date...We'll go to a Latin restaurant."said Chip.

"Enjoying yourself honey?" asked Karen...

"Immensely." said B.L.

"This is sooo  nice ,all of us in here together. Me not having to drive." joked Natalie.

''Well how about that?...Nobody is drinking tonight....So it's cool." said David.

"The Weather is nice too, Warm and Balmy." said Brooke.

"Yeah, good weather. Good Eats." said Sean..

"You used to say this was lovemaking weather...But I suppose anytime you're ready, which is every night is lovemaking  weather." said Zoey...

"True."laughed Lem.

"Ummmmmmm I may have to take some of this home."said Renee.

"I don't have anything left...Grab the Sweet Potato Pie."said Tyrell.

Lee was smiling, she had finished her food and was sitting on Matthew's lap..

He had a big smile on his face....Happy to be with Lee anywhere she was.He squeezed her tight.. 

She giggled.

''He's won 25 straight cases...Remember..He was a police officer once. He probably investigated his own cases."said Bee Bee.

"True...We can't take him lightly. I hear he's gone on and taken and passed the New York, New Jersey and Deleware Bars since passing the Pennsylvania Bar.. I suppose he is making up for lost time."said Sofia.

"I heard he found a "study buddy" who really helped him prepare for taking the bar and really made him put his nose to the grindstone and do his homework.That's how he passed."said Yvette.

"Yeah....I wonder if he's done his homework on this case?" asked Kahlil.

"Well when we get to court, we'll find out."said Jade.

"I remember when he was a cop...Homicide Detective...Only slightly better than Lt. Tragg.Imagine all those years  being a frustrated cop, when he really wanted to be a lawyer?" said Virginia.

"It must have sucked huh?  He always acted as if he hated lawyers.. Ask Karen and Olivia.  They dealt with him. If he's done his homework...He smells the same Red Herring We smell." said Yvette.

Lt. Tragg sat in William Swift's Office sipping a hot cup of coffee..

''Sooooooo Judge Kelly Ann is back huh?" said ADA William Swift.

pouring himself a hot cup of coffee..

"Yeah, how do you know? She's not at work today?" asked Lt. Tragg.

"For one thing, you're wearing the same suit you had on yesterday....A clothes hawk like you almost never does that....and you've got lipstick smudges on your lapel." said ADA William Swift.

He took out a disinfectant wipe and wiped the lipstick smudges off of Lt. Tragg's jacket and shirt collar.

"Listen Artie , did you talk to that girl, that Susan Hyland, the red herring?" he asked.

"I called her...She told me the doc was a pain in the ass, begging her not to sue and trying to suggest some kidney specialists she should see...That was it." said Lt. Tragg.

"That was it huh? Because Yvette Jones subpoenaed her before I could get around to it.. She is a uh hostile witness..."said William Swift.

"Billy look, she's going to testify to the same thing she told me...They aren't going to get anything new out of her. Relax." said Lt. Tragg..

IN YVETTE'S OFFICE-

Yvette's husband, Gary Lockwood, An Investigator for the D.A.'s Office dropped by her office.

Yvette was surprised , but glad to see him...

They were in her office kissing.

"Did you really have something to tell me or are you just horny?" she asked with a giggle.

"Yvette, I think about you all day...I'm always horny...but I really do have something to tell you." he said.

They continued kissing passionately...

"Is that door locked?" she asked.

"Yes." he said as they continued kissing.

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"she moaned..

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" he moaned...

"I usually don't involve myself with your cases...but I just happened to do a little digging and I found out that Susan Hyland and Doctor Bauer were once engaged to be married... They knew each other in Seattle. Long before either of them came to Philadelphia.. They broke up and then they both wound up here in Philly and they resumed their relationship.. No one at the Hospital knew of their prior relationship when she became his patient. I don't know how much that can help you...but I thought I'd pass it along.. And uh, you didn't hear that from me."said Gary.

Yvette smiled and got on the phone...

"Virginia, hold all of my calls...and cut everybody loose at 12:00 noon! You can go home too!" she said.

Virginia smiled...She knew what was up...Vettie's husband was in that office..and the door was locked..

She wasn't coming out anytime soon.

Yvette and Gary were kissing passionately....

"Today is your lucky day sailor..." said Yvette as she and Gary continued to kiss.

As he took her dress off 

unsnapped her bra...

and slipped her panties down and off.....

"Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm"Gary Moaned.

"OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" cooed Yvette as she eased down on Gary.

Yvette eased herself down on Gary and they began to make love right there in her office....for the rest of the afternoon...It was his lucky day.
