"I'm an attorney too. I'm Kyra Hilton...I work in town...I've seen you and your niece on Television hundreds of times...Usually saying "No Comment." she said.

Both women laughed...

"My Husband and I are here celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary." said Olivia.

''Awww ,that's so sweet..." said Kyra. 'Well Enjoy!'' she said.  "It was nice meeting you." she said.

"Nice meeting you too.....I think!" said Olivia... "Donnie Rayyyyyyy! Stop looking at my butt and smiling..." she laughed.

A Few Blocks away...The rest of the gang was enjoying their usual Friday Night at the No I.D. Bar..

Beverly, Kayla and Alfreda were in control of the Buses that transported everybody to the bar and home again..

"It's kind of weird with Auntay and Donnie Ray not being here."said Beverly..

"They're only a few blocks away celebrating their wedding anniversary." said Nelson.

"I know.....I just miss them not being here is all." said Beverly.

''Wowww, 12 years for them....I remember like it was yesterday." said Josie.

"Yeah that was right before you and I hooked up."said Paris.

"Oh Wow....I was just starting college." said Bresha.

"Me too!" said Tony...

"I forget how young you two are.." said Alfreda, smiling. She looked at them all as her babies...

"Here come more drinks." said her husband, Rockland...

Martinis and Beers arrived!

 

 "It feels funny with Liv not here...I miss talking to her." said Yvette.

"They're a few blocks away and it's only for the weekend...You'll see them Sunday Morning at Super Brunch..."said Gary.

"Nice afternoon isn't it?" said Keith Jones.

"We've had quite a few of them.."said Bee Bee.

"Yes we have...The weather has been kind." said Sofia.

"Yeah I'm loving that." said Kahlil.

Her husband Danny passed her a beer..

Crime scene investigators were snapping photos and looking at two very bloody bodies...

"What a mess...I haven't seen this much blood in a long while..." said one....

"He took two bullets to the back of the head.... and one to the chest.....So he got hit, he turned and took two more."said one...

"The drivers license of the man says he's Peter Marcus...He's an Attorney......and the woman's pocket book is over on the night stand... She's Felicia Nelson-Bailey....and she's married, not to him...."said Lt. Tragg, who was astounded by all the blood in the room...

"Nobody saw or heard anything.?" he asked.

"One of the neighbors saw a man running from the scene."said one of he detectives.

"Get me that neighbor....and round up everyone who lives around here...Check the street cams, the traffic cams....the works..."said Lt. Tragg.

"There is a lot of prints here Lieutenant.." said a CSI man...

"Get em, run em down....Let's bag and tag these two individuals... Won't need an autopsy...We know what killed these two.. Lead poisoning." he snickered...

Both bodies were put in white body bags and strapped to gurneys and wheeled out of the apartment complex.

TWO DAYS LATER-

Our doorbell rang...

It was Kyra Smith!!

"I know her...or at least I remember her...That's Kyra Hilton, The young lady we met at the pool." said Olivia.

Alfreda let her in and lead her to us...

We were all in our conference room....

"Olivia, remember me? Kyra Hilton? From the Hotel pool this past weekend!!  I've always wanted to meet your staff, but not like this... I'm afraid I need your help...An Attorney, an associate of mine named Harvey Bailey is in deep trouble..He's been accused of murdering his law partner and his wife...she was caught in bed with his partner...Only he didn't do it...He swears he didn't even know his partner and his wife were having an affair." said Kyra.

"What a way to find out." said Nelson.. 

"What do you want from us Kyra?" asked Olivia.

"I would like for you to help me defend him...I'll pay you." said Kyra,

 

"That's always a plus." I said.

Beverly snickered.

"Has this client of yours been arrested?" asked Nelson.

"He's on the verge of being arrested.. Lt. Tragg has had him in for questioning the past two days and there is a witness who claims she saw him running form the building, soon after a volley of shots were heard."said Kyra.

"Ouuuuuuuuu that doesn't sound good." said Josie.

"No it doesn't." I said.

"We would get a complex case." said Bresha.

"My niece and partner in this practice, Mrs. Beverly West-East."said Olivia.

''Associate Attorney Mrs. Josie Boyd."said Olivia.

"And last but certainly not least, Associate Attorney,  Mrs. Bresha Billips."

"Hello." said Bresha.

"And you've met Alfreda, our office manager." said Olivia,.

"Hello." said Alfreda.

"Yes...Nice group you've got here." said Kyra.

"Harvey Bailey....that name sounds familliar...You remember him Liv??....We worked a case with him years ago...When we were Public Defenders..." said Nelson.

"Well not exactly with him!!!Yes I remember him...He took the case from us...We were lowly Public Defenders remember?  He took the case from us.. You and Jazzy had just started." said Olivia.

"Did he get an acquittal Auntay?" asked Beverly.

"Yes he got one, but I didn't like the way he treated Nelson and me, like we were just dirt to be swept away... I have never treated another attorney like that...I've helped young Public defenders like David Charles, Like Tyrell Jones, like Daniel Bristol.....I didn't try to discourage them..."said Olivia.

"Your Nephew"laughed Beverly.

"Why does Daniel call you Aunt Olivia?" asked Bresha.

"Ohhhhh he and Beverly and Kayla used to play together when they were kids...and he called them his "Play Cousins" and he thought of me as his Aunt....He just never stopped saying it and I don't mind...He's done me proud...Graduated from Law School, Passed the bar, working in private practice..

I don't mind calling him my nephew." laughed Olivia.

"I'm sorry that Mr. Bailey treated you poorly in the past, but that was years ago...won't you help him now??...He really needs it!!!" asked Kyra.

"Funny how situations change....I'll take the case, but only because of you Kyra....You seem like a nice girl." said Olivia.

I'm a detective and I've always gone on hunches and gut feelings... I couldn't stop thinking that this whole thing had been pre-arranged and planned from the beginning..There was something about Kyra that just seemed a bit off. My Deep hunches were seldom wrong!
