We were waiting for our client, Harvey Bailey to arrive...Olivia sat in the conference room alone at first looking at her laptop...She was looking up Kyra Hilton, the assisting attorney on this case.

"She's pretty astute eh Auntay?" said Beverly..
"Yes....I just wanted to make sure that everybody is who they say they are... She appears to be on the up and up."said Olivia.
"Did you remember her from High School Liv?" asked Josie.
"No, Not at all? But Girls High is a large high school...it was impossible to know everybody...Plus she was a year ahead of me. She knew of me because of my swimming championships.."said Olivia.
"Wonder who her biological parents were? And if they left money behind for her... Her foster parents were both school teachers...They put her through Rosemont College.." said Nelson.
"She taught school for a number of years...and was probably socking away a lot of money...Which is how she paid for Lasalle, while she was still working and eventually went to Middleton..."said Bresha.
"She didn't have to sock away anything...The Trust fund that was set up for her paid her tuition in full at both Rosemont and Lasalle...and any money she socked away paid for Middleton Law School." explained Olivia.
"Must be nice!" said Bresha.
"I'll say." said Josie.
"I wonder what made her decide to change careers? You know...Go from teaching to being a lawyer?" I mused.
"The Money, The Prestige!" Olivia laughed..
"Billable Hours!" said Beverly...
We all broke out into loud laughter... The doorbell rang...It was Harvey and Kyra...
Alfreda let them in....
"Good Morning, Nice place you have here...." said Harvey who looked at his watch..."10:59 am, right on time." he said with a smile.
"Good Morning everybody!" said Kyra. "I brought Coffee" she said.
She passed a hot steaming tumbler of coffee to everyone, including Alfreda.
"You all have a wonderful coffee shop at the corner of the next block." she said.
Kyra seemed to conveniently know a lot about us and our environment.. I reminded myself to do a deeper dive into her a little later.
II-
"Olivia, Felicia and I were legally seperated...a year ago." said Harvey.... He passed her the legal papers as proof. " We weren't living together...I was living in an apartment downtown...She was still living in the house we shared. We were dating other people. I know I was... I didn't know my partner, Peter was dating her... That was low.. He had called me an hour before and told me that some legal papers had arrived for a client I am presently representing.... I went there to pick the papers up and when I walked up..His apartment door was unlocked.. I went in and there they were..Him and Felicia, nude and bloody..
Both very very dead... I grabbed my papers and I got the hell out of there... Yes I was seen running from there...but that's why...They were both dead when I got there...and blood was everywhere...To say I panicked is an understatement...I mean what would you have done? I got the hell out of there.. After I got a distance away,,,,I called 911 and alerted them that there had been a double shooting at that residence...Is that something a murderer would have done? Donnie Ray you can check the 911 call, it's all there...and check my phone for the call from Pete..." said Harvey.
"I already have...Everything you've told us appears to be on the up...Now my next question....Do you know anybody that would a grudge against either one of them Pete or Felicia?" I asked.
"No Not really...Pete did sleep with a lot of women..."said Harvey...
"Your wife not withstanding." said Olivia.
Kyra and Beverly snickered....
"We want you to turn your phone off and disable the GPS....We are going to lock it in our safe." said Bresha, who passed him another phone..
"Here remember this number.....If you need to contact us...You call us by this number... No personal phone numbers or business numbers...Just this number." she said.
"This is a Burner Phone." said Harvey.
"You catch on fast." joked Olivia.
Josie passed him a Portal.
"This is a Portal....It's untraceable, just like the Burner Phone..You can set up meetings or contact us about updates on how your case is going... You won't have to come up here again...You can keep a low profile."said Josie.
"You guys don't leave any stones unturned do you?" asked Harvey..
"That's why we win cases." said Nelson quietly...
We Gave Harvey and Kyra the tour of our facility....Our Law Library...
"WOW THIS IS AWESOME!!" said Kyra.
The Media room in the next room...
Beverly and Nelson's place...
and finally Olivia's and my place.
"Nice place, Nice Operation you have here Olivia...I am impressed...How far you've come from that Public Defender I once knew." said Harvey.... "Thank you all again for representing me..." he said.
"You're welcome...Now go home, get some rest and remember, keep a low profile.."said Olivia.
We waved goodbye as they drove off!
Inside the car..
"They got you sprung in just the nick of time...You ready for tomorrow.?" asked Kyra.
"I don't want you to tell Olivia that I'll be out of town tomorrow." said Harvey.
"I won't... My Father was really distressed when he heard you were arrested and charged with a double Homicide, but he was really elated when I called the prison last night and informed him that I had hired Olivia and Beverly and that they had got you out...He was really proud of how I handled things.." gushed Kyra.
"Kyra, let's face reality....Your father has four death sentences for four seperate murders....I've argued his cases before four seperate Appellate courts and they all have turned me down...I tried to get his death sentences reduced to life no parole and they've still turned me down... If I fail at the State Supreme Court level tomorrow...I am done...No more. Do you understand?" said Harvey...
It was as if he were talking to a brick wall.
"You've got to save my daddy...I've spent my whole life wondering who my biological father was and now that I've found him...I find out he's on death row...It can't end this way." said Kyra,.
"I'm doing everything I can..." sighed Harvey.
III-
The next morning, we decided to have breakfast with our friends in the Bridge Building...
It was a nice break from cooking and even nicer socializing with our friends and neighbors.
''We are used to seeing Josie and Bresha and Alfreda walking over to your place in the morning."said Keith Jones.
"Yeah nice of you to join us for a meal." said Bee Bee.
"Hope you guys are staying for awhile." said Sofia.
"Yeah, glad to see you guys." said Kahlil.
I was talking to Jade.. If she wasn't busy,I wanted her to do a deep dive into our associate attorney Kyra Smith... She seemed alright, but something about her seemed a little extra.
"Sure...We aren't busy right now...I'll look into her and get back to you Donnie Ray."said Jade.
"Nice to see my second favorite people." laughed Virginia.
"Here Here!" said Jetty.
"We just felt like we should get out a bit...It's been a couple of weeks since we all hung out together." said Olivia.
"No...We were all at Super Brunch at Josie's this past Sunday." I said.
"That's right we were." said Beverly.
"And we'll all be Curley's this Thursday and No I.D. Friday Night and Saturday Morning." said Nelson.
"See ,you'll be tired of us already."joked Josie.
"Not me." said Paris , who had Josie on his lap, squeezing her tight. He had been awake when she had come in last night after Night Court...
and had greeted Josie with a kiss , while subsequently taking her clothes off..
Josie had straddled him on the living room couch and moved up and down on him ,giving him hours of pleasure..
Riding him like a surfer rides the waves, kissing him and staring into his eyes..
and finally after several hours... finishing up on the living room couch... Paris was still in a daze and glad to see his wife this morning.
"Ummmmmmmmmmm" moaned Bresha , who was sitting on her husband Tony's lap..
Tony had not been asleep when she had come in and they had made sweet love in the living room first..
Steaming up the couch....
and then taken it to their bedroom...
and their nice soft bed...
Where they preceded to make sweet love...
and where they finished up the deed!
Alfreda smiled.. She was glad to come along with us.
"So glad to see you guys." said Jazzy.
"I hear you guys got a new case.." said Dabnis.
"You know what they say...That's what keeps the lights on."said Nelson.
"I hear that!" said Ray...
"My Favorite Cousin." said Kayla, hugging Beverly and kissing her on the cheek.
"And I thought it was Daniel."laughed Beverly...
"Noooooooooo, he's our play cousin."laughed Kayla.
"You know...I think he had a thing for you.....When we were young."said Beverly....
"No, it was Jazzy that he liked...and she didn't even know it." laughed Kayla.
''Secrets of the Bennett women." laughed Ray.
Jessica laughed along with him...Over the years she had loved being around Olivia and Beverly and
Yvette...She considered them family and they thought the same of her..
Chip held her in his lap as he finished his food.
"Olivia I should tell you...This Harvey Bailey who you're defending... He's a good lawyer, among the best but as slick as canned grease...just be careful...Don't believe everything he tells you."said Karen.
"I gathered that much...You two had a thing a long time ago..."said Olivia.
"Yeah, that was a lifetime ago...before my first marriage...We dated...I was fresh out of law school and he was old enough to be my father.. I had no idea he was married..and when I found out, I dropped him like a bad habit. He just wanted to get in my panties anyway...There was no love there or feelings."said Karen..
"I met him a little later when I was a Public Defender.. Nelson and I had a client, a client accused of Murder.. He walked into the courtroom and took our client away from us. Pushed us aside like we weren't worthy to be in the same courtroom with him."said Olivia.
"Liv did he get an acquittal?" asked Natalie.
"He did, but Nelson and I could have gotten an acquittal too! I just didn't like the shoddy way he treated Nelson and I,." said Olivia.
"And As fate would have it...All these years later, his fate is in your hands.Wowwwwww!" said David.
''Well, what goes around, comes around." said Brooke.
"He's been at the Appellate Court lately, trying to appeal a death sentence....I don't know whose...but he's lost all four of his appeals." said Sean.
"I was handling his wife's divorce... I had drawn up articles of seperation last year." said Zoey.
"I saw that, so he was telling the truth. They had been seperated for a year...."said Olivia.
"Nearly two....He wasn't living with her."said Lem.
"I imagine they were both dating other people."said Renee.
"Yeah but his partner though? They were both found in the bedroom nude ,all shot up." said Tyrell.
"I saw Lt. Tragg on T.V. Talking about it." I said.
"Yeah, I did too...He really shouldn't do that until a trial is settled."said Lee.
"Yeah it makes it hard to find jurors who haven't heard about this and who can be impartial."said Matthew.
'Well everybody has heard about this...It's been all over Social media ,Print Media and Television."said Nina.
"They're calling this the Marcus /Nelson Murders." said Carlos.
"Yeah, I wish they wouldn't." sighed Olivia.
At this moment, a very angry and unhinged Lt. Tragg was at our Office /Duplex, ringing the doorbell and banging on the door.
He was finally satisfied that no one was home.... He was livid that we had arraigned Harvey Bailey and he was free on bail.. He had gone to Harvey Bailey's home and he wasn't there either...
He got in his car and pulled off! He'd be back this afternoon, he thought.
IV-
STATE SUPREME COURT-
The courtroom had just let out for the day....
Attorney Harvey Bailey, himself now a murder suspect had just failed once again to get his client's sentences reduced to life no parole from death. He had exhausted his last appeals.
"Harvey, how ya doin?" said a young attorney...
"Not good today Richard, How ya doin?...I just exhausted my clients last appeals..I'm afraid he's doomed." said Harvey Bailey.
"I understand you're in a bit of a pickle yourself... Indicted for a double homicide...Who is your lawyers? They must be pretty good...They got you arraigned and out on bail this fast." asked the man.
"Olivia Bennett-Alexander and Beverly West..." said Harvey Bailey, who wasn't particularly concerned about his predicament at the moment.
"Ohhhhh you got the best, you'll be alright!"laughed the Attorney, Richard Best.. ''Say, who is this client, who is in considerably worse shape than you?" he asked.
"He used to be a Judge...James Wilson....You may have heard of him.."said Harvey Bailey...
Richard Best's whole mood changed....
"Harvey, do you actually know the man you were defending?" he asked.
"I've never practiced in his courtroom...I've heard of him....He used to be a big mahoff around the city, connected to politicians and such....His daughter works for me, One of my associate attorneys...She got me to take his case....I visited him a few times up at the prison... I've tried to get his convictions thrown out, I've failed four times on the Appellate Court level with that....then I tried to get them reduced to life ,no parole....I've failed four times with that on the Appellate court level and I failed a fifth time today in State Supreme Court.. There is nothing more I can do...The Governor is going to set an execution date." sighed Harvey.
"Harvey let's go get some coffee and let me tell you about this man." said Richard Best.
They went to a nearby coffee shop.
"Harvey, Former Judge James Wilson is a Psychopath....and he deserves to be right where he is...
"He's a privileged , entitled little rich snot...who has never been held accountable for anything in his entire life... Mommy and Daddy have always rescued him from accountability....It may have began when he was 13... He was an avid swimmer, Had won many regional and area swimming championships.
"Ever heard of Elroy Bennett? In 1971, Judge Wilson, far from being a Judge then was a 13 year old contestant for the city swim title....So was Elroy Bennett, a young black kid who beat him and won the championship. Young James was inconsolable...It was the first time he had been beaten at anything. His Mother and father tried to console him, convince him there would be other swim titles...but he just couldn't take losing. Elroy Bennet was found floating in the pool, his head bashed in, some hours later..
They removed the body, they shut down the pool...His family's money had the pool closed and totally redone, removing evidence. It was written up as an accident!.... There were two witnesses who saw James around the pool minutes before "Said Accident" They were paid off and never testified. The Homicide detective that wouldn't let the case go was suspended and later fired. Such was the power
of The Wilson money.
This may have been the first of his four known murders...
Do you know who Elroy Bennett's nieces are Harvey? Neither of them had been born yet...
OLIVIA BENNETT-ALEXANDER and BEVERLY WEST! Same attorneys who are defending you." said Richard Best..
THEY NEVER MET THEIR UNCLE... He died some 15 or 16 years before Olivia was born, the daughter of His Older Brother, Alvin Bennett....and some 25 years before his brother's grand-daughter, Beverly was born.
"OH MY GOD, I NEVER KNEW!" said Harvey Bailey...
"No you didn't..and there is more... When he was 19, a sophomore in college, He came home from college that summer and got a 15 year old girl pregnant...
His Mother was not going to see her son's college career derailed... So they arranged for an adoption later on when that girl, Kyra Hilton was born...They even paid for her schooling at Rosemont and Later Lasalle when she wanted to attend law school...
She never met her grandparents...and now they both are deceased....and the damage was done.
James Smith became a very successful and very wealthy attorney with lots of political capital...and soon he became a Judge who wielded a lot of power and influence.
My dad was an attorney, close to retirement who unfortunately wound up in his court...Judge Wilson notoriously favored prosecutors and he did everything he could to kneecap my father's case... He even jailed my father for contempt.. My father didn't bow to him and went on to get an acquittal.
He paid my father back by talking to the partners at his firm... My Father was let go months before he would've drawn his retirement...
My dad was never the same again....My mom told him to sue Judge Wilson...but there was no way to prove it....My dad unfortunately took his own life later that year...
I've hated that pompous jerk, Judge James Wilson ever since then...
Of course you know that 8 years ago...Judge Wilson's model wife, who was 18 years his junior and a young lawyer who was rumored to be her lover and who had beaten him out as partner vanished without a trace...They were finally declared dead although no bodies had been found.
Judge Wilson by then was up for a Federal Judgeship and possibly a seat on the Supreme Court...He wanted nothing, no scandal to get in his way to his ultimate goal.. Then that bastard killed the man , we believe helped him discard the bodies, which were found in the trunk of a car that was sunk in the river near Bayside...
He no longer had the drag with the police department or the mayor or the old line politicians, who were friends with his parents who always shut down investigations, quieted things down and punished anybody who wanted to make a fuss...The Investigations were re-opened and he was convicted of the murders of his wife,Alexandria Wilson , her lover,Attorney Paul Lagerfield and Zack Roman.. Later he was convicted of the murder of Elroy Bennett in 1971. he received a death penalty for each."
.He's been convicted of four murders, He's guilty of statutory rape and child abandonment..He deserves to be just where he is." said Richard Best...
"My Goodness Richard, tell me how you really feel." said Harvey Bailey.
And in Philadelphia at our Office /Duplex that day...
Jade came to our home that afternoon after she got off work..
We were all having dinner....She joined us.
"I did a deep dive like you asked Donnie Ray into Kyra Hilton...." she said.

"Yeah I looked her up...I pretty much knew all of that."said Olivia.
"Here's what you don't know.... her Biological parents are Former Judge, Now Death Row inmate, James Wilson, who was 20 and 15 year old Sarah Melton.. " said Jade.
"That's statutory Rape! Oh wowww!"said Beverly.
Mama Wilson arranged for the Hilton's,
a well known couple of teachers to adopt the baby girl, which they named Kyra...Kyra Hilton. Mama Wilson set up a trust fund that paid for Kyra's schooling at both Rosemont and Lasalle University. she thought her foster parents had provided that money...She never knew where it came from. Sarah Melton, Kyra's biological mother, committed suicide a few years back...
James Wilson never knew who his daughter was until a few months back when she traced her parentage to him.. She visited him in Phoenixville and he convinced her to get a lawyer to save his life..He said he had been railroaded... She got H.Stanley Stanlison to represent him at first...
He dropped out and then she got her mentor and boss, Harvey Bailey to represent her father. He was in Harrisburg today arguing and losing in front of the State Supreme Court." said Jade.
''Well I'll be damned... I knew it..I knew there was more to her than what met the eye." I said. "Thank you Jade.
"You can't hate her for wanting to know who her biological parents are, Even if one is a monster."said Beverly.
''She didn't exactly mislead us...Her father's case has nothing to do with us...We are defending Harvey on a whole different matter."said Nelson.
"You're both right, but we should get everything out into the open when we see them."said Olivia.
"Yeah....Her father talked her into getting a lawyer...He had H. Stanley Stanlison." said Josie.
"He dropped out...He's handling other cases now."said Paris.
"He saw what a loser the Wilson Case is and so when Wilson's long lost daughter found him....He manipulated her into getting another attorney from her law firm that would represent him"said Bresha.
"Well he didn't have any better luck than H. Stanley Stanlison." said Tony.
"So what happens now?" asked Alfreda.
"Nothing can happen now...Two Attorneys, several appeals....Wilson has exhausted all of his appeals."said Rockland.
"That means the Governor can set an execution date!" I said.
