THE OFFICE OF ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY ALEX RACKLEY..

Assistant District Attorney Alex Rackley was angry...Angry that yet another one of his past cases had been re-opened...Henry Luce, angry that his conviction had been tossed and that he was a free man, walking the streets, awaiting re-trial...

He pulled up on his laptop, records of the attorneys who were responsible..Attorneys from his own District Attorney's Office- The Wrongful Conviction-Conviction Integrity Unit which operated as a seperate entity of the office. When he was elected District Attorney next year, he planned to cut their budget and reign them in a bit..

He figured that the day he visited their Bridge Building, Karen was arguing her position at State Appellate Court and the rest of us were visiting with Henry Luce at the prison.

He had a court date the next two days and somewhere in there..got Luce arraigned and released....

He was furious.... He had to get ahead of this...

At our Conference room-

We were meeting with two investigators....D.A. Investigator and husband of Yvette Jones-Lockwood,

Gary Lockwood.. and Private Investigator, Milton Lewis.

"I located that long missing original Autopsy Report...They keep copies of everything at the Medical Examiner's office...They keep the original and they send the D.A.'s office and the cops a copy...I remembered that from when I was working Robbery-Homicide....It's complete with DNA evidence and photos of the fingerprints." said Gary.

"I've located the five witnesses who can place Luce at three different places during the timeline of when the murder occurred. Three of these people were never called to testify and two swear they were threatened by Lt. Clarke...I've got affadavits to attest to all of this." said Private Investigator, Milt Lewis.

"That's outstanding...Just what we need." said Brooke.

"We'll make this case on DNA...We are going to deliver his fresh DNA and Fingerprints to three different labs, The Medical Examiner's Office, Dr. Goggins Office and The FBI's labs." said Natalie.

"There is no way we can have the body exhumed to examine it...After three years." I said.

"There is no body to exhume David...She was cremated...." said Karen.

"Doesn't matter..We have what we need..." said Sean...

"The question is..What is Rackley going to do? He's going to make a move...I know it."said Natalie.

"Natalie is right." said Brooke.

"We can't worry about him, we've got to do what we have to do to win this case..." said Karen.

II-

"Okay...you girls be careful..." said Karen.. She felt about Brooke and Natalie, her two protoge's the way Yvette felt about Keith, Bee Bee, Sofia and Kahlil and the way Olivia felt about Beverly, Nelson, Josie and Bresha... Like a Proud Mother and Big Sister all in one..

"Always."said Brooke with a smile..

"Always...David come here a minute?" said Natalie..

We stood by the elevator waiting for Brooke..

Natalie stared deep into my eyes...

I smiled..

She kissed me..

She kissed me passionately.....

"WOWWWW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" I asked..

"Because I love you...." she said and smiled...

I had her lipstick smudge on my face...

Brooke walked up on us and smiled...She took out a disinfectant wipe and wiped the lipstick smudge off of my face... She smiled and kissed me on the cheek..

"We'll see you later David.." she said and they got on the elevator and left...

I smiled... I had worked with them both at the Public Defender's Office for years...In my wildest dreams I never imagined a scenario where I'd be kissed by both of them.

Their UBER came and took them to the Medical Examiner's Office.

then Dr. Goggin's DNA LABS..

and finally the FBI Labs..

''We are going to make and win this case on DNA Bestie." said Natalie.

"That's right....I just hope we get an intelligent jury that will understand...."said Brooke.

Meanwhile....Assistant District Attorney Alex Rackley was at Phoenixville State Correctional Institution.. He was visiting a former friend and contemporary of his Former Judge James Wilson, set to be executed soon for four murders stemming from 1971- 2025...

They met in the private death row meeting room...

"Alex..Alex...Why I haven't heard from you in a couple of years...How are you? Still an Assistant District Attorney?" asked Former Judge James Wilson.

"Yes I am...I'm eyeing a run for District Attorney in the next two years..." said Alex..

"Set your sights higher boy....A Judgeship.....It's your time."said James Wilson.

"You're absolutely right your honor...Look the reason I came here is I got a problem.... Two of my cases have been overturned and a third one is in the process of being overturned....If that happens, I could be up for a censor before the Board of Legal Ethics..and it would harpoon any chance I have for advancement...I need your advice. You know, you were the Judge in several of my cases...and Lt. Arthur Clarke was the arresting officer..."said Alex.

"Yes, I heard that Clarke killed himself...He was fired from the Police department and tried and convicted of Jury Tampering and Intimidation...and Obstruction of Justice and sentenced to 5-10 years..of which he would have only done two or three years and been out....and he chose to take his own life...I never imagined him to be so weak and pathetic....Look at me...I'm facing death."said Judge Wilson.

"It's those people from the Wrongful Conviction /Conviction Integrity Unit...They teamed up with the Innocence Project and won an acquittal for Lionel Bailey...and then they teamed up with Olivia Bennett-Alexander ,her niece Beverly West and their team and Yvette Jones Lockwood and her team and overturned the convictions of Gerald Thompkins and Wadell Jones...and won acquittals for both of them." said Alex Rackley...

"I was the judge in all of those cases...if I recall... And I've had trouble with all of the attorneys you've named..." said James Wilson he said, thinking of all of them...and all the defiance and trouble they gave him... He hated them...

''So what do you want from me Alex?" asked James Wilson.

"Advice....The third trial...The Trial of Henry Luce is coming up....I can't afford to have this guy go free...What can I do?" asked Alex.

"You need a Judge in your corner...A Judge who will kneecap the defense...Like I did for you...A soft judge, someone you can flip....I have two suggestions,

Judge Kelly Ann Mercer...She's a soft touch...A Hot little minx I wished I'd had a taste of...

and the other is Marjorie Taney...She's a horny woman..."he said, smiling raffishly...

"She's the mother of my child.!!...I doubt seriously if she'd do me any favors....We haven't talked in years." said Alex..

"Oh you've had her? Ummmmmmmmmmm Lucky mannnnn.....Now listen, since we are here talking favors....I need you to try and get my cases to an appellate court...Find a few Judges who are soft touches...Get my cases tossed out and help me get re-instated into the bar..." he said.

"WHATTT?" said Alex...who now realized that former Judge James Wilson was stark raving mad...

"I'll see you your honor....Take care of yourself..." he said as he got up to leave...

''WAIT!!! WAIT!! I NEED LEGAL REPRESENTATION....I NEED TO BE -RE -INSTATED BY THE BAR...I NEED THESE CHARGES DROPPED!!!I THOUGHT THAT'S WHAT YOU CAME HERE FOR....I DON'T WANT TO DIE....I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!! COME BACK!! COME BACK YOU LITTLE BASTARD, COMMMMME BACK!" he yelled as the guards grabbed him and dragged him back to his cell..

"Poor Judge Wilson, he's gone crazy here in stir...He's completely lost it.."Thought Alex Rackley....but he was right about one thing...He had to find a Judge, a Judge he could flip..

That Night at Home....

"You guys made all of your deliveries?" I asked.

"We did...Everything is in motion now..." said Natalie..

She smiled and began taking her clothes off..

She stood in front of me in her bra and panties and smiled.. my eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets...

Judge Diamond turned red...

"You little shit, where did you get those photos?" he asked.

He peered across the bar..

"Look at em , little troublemakers...They won't be so smug this time next week...Hahahahahah!"he laughed.

"Isn't that Alex Rackley over there?"asked Jazzy.

"Yeah Smooozing with Judge Ralph Diamond. That's him." said Dabnis.

"Judge Diamond is going to be hearing Brooke and Natalie's case next week." said Kayla.

"Well he shouldn't be over there talking to him....Is he buying him a beer?" asked Ray..

"No , The Judge was already there.. but I don't put it past him to try and barter influence with the Judge." said Jessica.

"I guess flipping a Judge isn't beyond him huh? He no longer has Lt. Clarke or Judge Wilson to help him out." said Chip.

"You know...I figured he'd try something....I wonder if he's trying to flip Judge Diamond?" asked Karen.

"I know Judge Diamond...He's been on my show, he's a good man...I don't think he can be blackmailed." said B.L.

"I said he was going to try and make a move....I wonder if that's his move."asked Natalie.

"It's the only move he can make, find someone you can flip." I said.

"That's a frightening thought."said Brooke.

"After Judge James Wilson ,nothing is impossible."said Sean.

"I remember how much trouble he gave you when he was on the bench!"said Zoey.

"Yeah I do too!" said Lem.

Renee snapped photos of the two of them talking...

"If Brooke and Natalie have any trouble next week in court from that Judge....I've got evidence." said Renee.

"When does Judge Wilson get executed?" asked Lee.

"It's about 53 cases....We've found three bad ones so far...Who knows how many other innocent people are behind bars? We know how bad Lt. Arthur Clarke was and James Wilson as well."said Beverly.

"I'm not surprised...We should all have a bus trip up to the prison for his execution..." said Josie.

"WOW...THAT WOULD BE EPIC!" laughed her husband, Paris.

"Olivia feels some kind of way about Wilson...he murdered her Uncle.. I understand how she feels...

The man who murdered my aunt is serving a life sentence...He should be facing lethal injection." said Bresha,.

"I guess flipping a Judge isn't beyond Rackley huh? He no longer has Lt. Clarke or Judge Wilson to help him out." said Alfreda.

"If that's what he is in fact doing."said Rockland.

"You're right...Heh heh heh!"laughed Alex Rackley... He walked past Lt. Tragg and Kelly Anne...

"We don't expect this trial to last longer than three to four days..." I said.

"We are going to win this case on DNA and the fact that your fingerprints were nowhere near the crime scene." said Brooke.

"We think, WE KNOW...that the killer of your wife was someone else...We just don't know who." said Sean.

"The evidence is back...Our friends at the Criminal Investigation Division ran the prints and DNA through their system and it appears this culprit has no criminal record and has never worked for civil service....They ran it through Interpol and couldn't get a hit either...but it's definitely someone else...They just aren't on the criminal radar... But that doesn't mean anything...We still have enough to win." said Karen..

''Well that sounds good....I'm ready, ready for this to all be over."said Henry..

"How have you been enjoying your freedom after three years incarceration ?" I asked.

"Oh I've been loving it... I even took a short trip to the shore over the weekend...Going back to jail at this point would throw me into a big depression after having tasted these few weeks of semi-freedom." said Henry Luce..
