THE OFFICE OF ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY GARY SMITH-

It was a rare Saturday Morning , when he was at work.

"I've been down this road with these attorneys before and they've added two more in addition. This Eddie Lee is putting a lot of money out there on his defense.. 7 Attorneys and 1 Investigator..." he mused...

They defended me and got me acquitted of a murder rap three years ago...I owe them that...but I have to do my job.." he said.

He called up Assistant District Attorney Casey Rourke...She was a damn good ADA..She prosecuted him once...The time Olivia and company defended him...He was willing to let by gones by by gones.

She was after all doing her job....He needed her as his second chair..She was certainly better than Bruce Greene..Who had been his second chair the last time around...Yes, he would call her.. He dreaded working with that Jackass Lt. Tragg,

but he had no choice...He was the Lead Detective on the case.

And at Northeast Airport at this moment- Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were looking at the body of a man killed the night before.

"Wow...this was an execution..One shot between the eyes....The bullet exited the back of his head...WOW!  "said a CSI guy...

"Yeah and another two in his chest....He was already dead...Guess whoever killed him wanted to make sure huh?" said another..

"Rigor is setting in...I put the time of death at around midnight...."said Dr. Hazel Baylor..

"Look, there is a gun next to him.. a 40 cal... Looks like he pulled it out too slow...Whoever shot him got the drop on him."said one of the detectives..

"His ID says he's Wilbur Upchurch..."said one detective..

"He's a high class hitter...He has nine notches on his belt...That we know about.." said another detective.

"Well he won't have anymore.. Somebody added him to their belt notches." said the first detective.

The 40 caliber pistol lay next to him...

"Nah, this gun is bone cold...it hasn't been fired recently and it's wiped clean of prints...It's not his..I'm guessing it was dropped here.."said Newly minted Lieutenant Jake  Rezin...'Somebody wanted us to think it was this guy's gun...."Get his prints and run em through decks...Examine this gun..."he said.

Hazel was ecstatic having a real detective on this case and not Lt. Tragg...

"Okay Dr. Baylor...You can bag him and tag him and uh get me an autopsy report as soon as you can." said Lt. Jake Rezin..

What a difference from hearing "Okay girls wrap him up and get me that autopsy report ASAP!"

The Body was put in a white body bag and strapped to a gurney for transfer.

Alexa and Daniel were standing outside her apartment complex kissing.

A Man named Wilbur Upchurch....A well known contract killer....He is suspected of 9 unsolved homicides...There was a gun next to his body....A Ballistics check has matched it to the two dead men who were killed near Eddie Lee's restaurant two Saturday nights ago...Police now think he was meeting someone there for what he thought was a payoff and a plane ticket out of the city...Only it's cheaper to kill someone like him...A Loose end, than to pay him off."I said. 

"Hmmmmm Me thinks we ought to pay a visit to Eddie Lee's little nephew..." said Olivia.

"With a Subpoena..." said Beverly...

"That's the deal.." said Nelson..

"Only that's a vipers nest in there...You girls aren't going..." I said.

SOME HOURS LATER-

I walked into Eddie Lee's restaurant and took the elevator to the top floor,

The Floor where several high stakes card games were in full swing.. Over looked by his nephew..

 Shai Youn..Eddie Lee's nephew and number two man recognized me...

''Donnie Ray...Aren't you the husband of my Uncle's attorney, Olivia Bennett-Alexander?" he asked with a smile..

"I sure am Junior... Tell Max ,don't even think about going for his gun or brass knuckles... I'm carrying a .40 Caliber and I'm pretty fast on the draw....I'd hate to ventilate his insides." I said, smiling..

He smiled... "Max..back off, He's Okay!" said Shai Youn.. He looked at the Subpoena I placed on his desk..

''What's this?" he asked.

"That's a Subpoena, A Court summons for you to testify in your Uncle's trial." I said.

"Why so formal...All you had to do was ask?" he said with a smile.

"We wanted to make sure you showed up.." said Olivia , who suddenly appeared in the doorway.

"Olivia !!!!!Of course I'd show up!" said Shai Youn with a smile.   "Always nice to see you again Olivia.. Care to win some money this afternoon? You have been lucky in here.." he said with a smile.

"Not today Shai....I'm concentrating on helping your uncle beat these murder charges."said Olivia.

"Some other time then." said Shai Youn, smiling as we left...

'Yes...Some other time." said Olivia.

Outside in the car...Nelson and Beverly sat.

"I take it there was no problems." said Nelson who was at the wheel...

"I didn't expect it to be...Shai Youn knows Auntay and me..."said Beverly...

"The message was sent...Now let's see what happens next....The Mood is definitely different in there with Eddie Lee not there... It is indeed a Viper's Nest.." said Olivia.

"Let's Get out of here and go home." I said.
